Chapter One: Seeds of Destiny |
---|
In the early days, Zulu used to hang around his old friends also known as "The Blood Diamonds" which was formed by him and Nathan after they were fired from Gruppe6. The name derived from the original Diamond Division which was created as a high-security group in G6.
It felt like a lifetime ago. But a single, unfortunate incident had led to his dismissal, plunging Zulu into a period of uncertainty and desperation. Some of his friends invited him to live with them in "The red-house" in Sandy which was purchased by Marv, Chimi and Nathan. Marv and Chimi—had different ideas about their future and were wary of treading into more dangerous waters, preferring to keep their activities legal. The allure of "easy" money opportunities to rob G6 workers was hard to resist, and the group's unity began to fray. In the midst of this uncertainty, Zulu gravitated towards Dow Jones, a local figure with a reputation for his flourishing weed-growing operations. Dow was a man of many connections, his fingers in numerous pies. He recognized Zulu's plight and offered him a lifeline, albeit a dubious one. Zulu was added to the Chronication app to allow him to sell weed in Sandy Shores. It wasn’t long before Dow introduced Zulu to KJ. Unbeknownst to Zulu, this meeting was to be a pivotal moment in his life. KJ was a seasoned player in the trade, his knowledge and connections surpassing anything Zulu had encountered before. Under KJ's guidance, Zulu's small-time operations began to expand. The Blood Diamonds, however, were not immune to internal strife. In the midst of this, Frenchy, joined the team as a promising new recruit with ambitions to join the weed game. Throughout this time, Zulu's ambitions clashed with the more cautious approach of Marv and Chimi, leading to frequent disagreements. The once-tight-knit group started to splinter, each member’s priorities pulling them in different directions. On the fateful day of 21 March, 2024, Zulu made the difficult decision to leave the Blood Diamond house. The constant bickering and the tension with Chimi had become unbearable. Chimi's insistence on a more measured approach clashed with Zulu's growing appetite for the lucrative, albeit dangerous, opportunities presented by the weed trade. The divide was irreparable. Zulu packed his meagre belongings, leaving behind everything he had contributed towards the house, each item a reminder of the life he was leaving behind. As he stepped out of the red-house for the last time, he felt a mixture of relief and trepidation. The road ahead was uncertain, but it was his to walk. With KJ's guidance, Zulu was ready to carve out a new path, one that might finally lead him out of the shadows of his past and into the light of a promising, if precarious, future. |
Chapter Two: The Rise & Fall of Pharma |
---|
Zulu stood outside the new house in Paleto, a modest yet promising home that marked the beginning of a new chapter for him and his newfound family. It was March 20, 2024, the day before he moved out of the red-house in Sandy Shores. Zulu, alongside KJ, Mike, and a few others, had pooled their money to buy this house, which would become the foundation for the Pharma Division, a crucial arm of The Company.
Pharma was more than just a division; it was a lifeline for Zulu. The months that followed were a blur of hard work and dedication. Zulu threw himself into the grind, determined to prove his worth to KJ. His efforts did not go unnoticed. KJ, impressed by Zulu's dedication and knack for numbers, eventually made him a right-hand man. This role was more than a title; it was a testament to Zulu's loyalty and skill. Zulu feeling more accomplished in his new role, didn't want to leave Frenchy behind and promised he would always be by Zulu's side through thick and thin. Whilst it would take some time for them to trust Frenchy as much as they did Zulu, eventually he would earn that respect. Zulu's contribution wasn't limited to only slinging weed. He developed a comprehensive spreadsheet to help track Pharma's sales, production and cuts. The spreadsheet was a game-changer, allowing them to monitor every aspect of the business with precision and keep The Company informed. For a time, the Pharma team dominated Sandy turf and surpassed all other contenders. But, dominance breeds competition and eventually, their lead was contested. Amidst the highs and lows, Zulu and the Pharma boys didn't limit themselves to dealing. They embarked on several heists together, building closer bonds and learning each others strengths and weaknesses. Pharma's success attracted new recruits, expanding their operations and solidifying their presence in Sandy. For a while, everything seemed to be moving in the right direction. However, turmoil was brewing at the top. The Company was riddled with discord, and on May 8, 2024, The Company disbanded. The dissolution of their parent organization threw Pharma into a state of uncertainty. Despite the chaos, Pharma was granted autonomy with the caveat that they would have to pay each board member $75k for their share. They could then chart their own course, free from claims by former board members or the threat of being sold off. This independence was both a blessing and a curse. The future was unwritten, and Zulu found himself at a crossroads. Should he stay with KJ, or venture out on his own? In the midst of this turmoil, KJ invited Zulu to a secret meeting. There, KJ revealed that Benji had extended an offer to join a new group he was forming with Ray. This new opportunity was enticing, but it came with a test of loyalty. Zulu and Mike found their access to the Anita app revoked, a move that was later revealed to be a loyalty test. KJ's faith in Zulu never wavered, and he urged Zulu to trust him. KJ's condition for joining Benji's new group was clear: Zulu had to come with him. Zulu was overwhelmed by this display of trust and loyalty. The bond between him and KJ had been forged in the fires of adversity, and Zulu knew he would follow KJ anywhere. His loyalty to KJ was unwavering, a constant in the ever-shifting landscape of their world. As Pharma's chapter came to a close, Zulu faced the future with a mixture of apprehension and resolve. The path ahead was uncertain, but he was not alone. The end of Pharma was merely the beginning of a new adventure, one that promised new horizons and uncharted territories. |
