Zarina Vega is a character role-played by siflora.
Description[]
This girl is one charming, chatty but also spiteful lady. Zarina Vega comes to the city with lots of ambitions and goals, though her airhead demeanor always gets her sidetracked or in some sort of trouble. Her creative approach to life always allows for her to have the craziest ideas on mind and she doesn't refrain from speaking them out loud or even comitting to them. Zarina wouldn't call herself a manipulator, but if she's presented an opportunity, she is more than happy to take it. There is more ways of knowing Zarina than the "bad bubbly girl" persona she presents on the surface to the people around her.
Coming from a tough background in her family, she's always had to compete, as she's the youngest sibling and the girl, back of the class, she always got told to get used to sitting in the back, and wait for life to come and hit her with whatever punch it had packed for her pretty face. The advice presented to her was thrown straight down the toilet, because it didn't matter to her. That girl is determined to go through all the crap to be put in front of her, her confidence will take a situation, flip it around and land her on top of it.
Zarina describes herself as someone with star-presence, hence why her dreams, is to become a famous actress, singer and songwriter rapper. Zarina has taken herself as someone, who belongs on a stage. She isn't totally a snake though, she has a certain empathetic nature about her at times that makes her question herself and the actions she's taking. Even though she denies it a bit, she's a bit of a player and gold digger. Zarina doesn't consider that an action of lessened morale, just one of ultimate strategy and finesse. She truly values her closest friends and will throw hands if any of their lives are on the line. The one thing Zarina has the most appreciation for? Her bangs.
Background Information[]
Zarina once lived in a family of four. With her mother, father and her sibling brother. Zarina's father was from Morocco and he thought it would be an amazing idea to raise a family at her hometown, until a financial crisis struck the family, as they were in a difficult spot. Zarina's brother tried to make ends meet in some other way, that would eventually cost him, his life. Zarina brother did some drug deals, with some of the Morocco's (biggest) mobs. Which would help feed the family for a couple of months. Life was flying at such a fast pace for Zarina, only at such young age, having to move to multiple cities in Morocco, but Zarina's mother always told her "It's like a little game we are playing". She did however understad one thing, that her brother was dead. Zarina had to grasp the concept at a very young age.
As a final resort, Zarina's mother called an old friend, begging them to take the family in. Zarina and her family were heading towards San Fierro, in hopes for their struggles to finally end. Zarina had (just) started her first year in high school, she knew she couldn't be an outsider. She wasn't the smartest academically, but she knew how to pull a few strings to make things work. She's always had bigger dreams than being a popular girl, in school. Zarina had passion with the arts and performance. Singing and rapping, creating art and learning new dancing moves. Zarina resembled a certain star-presence, that she'd knew she had to use for good.
A couple years later, at home, the situation wasn't getting better. Zarina's parents kept on fighting with each other every night, shutting Zarina out and kept her in the dark about everything. It was like one broken family, but Zarina did just put the last nail in the coffin. On a breezy February night, Zarina had stolen all of her family's belongings, as she knew a thing or two about lockpicking from her older brother. Prior to that, she had talked to somebody that could get her out of the city, it was an old friend of hers, that had moved to San Fierro.
The plan was ideal, it couldn't go wrong, but it somehow did. Zarina put on a mask while stealing a bunch of jewellery, as her mother woke up in horror, to a thudding sound, as she dropped a box of watches. Zarina's mother thought it was a thief and not her own daughter roaming through her stuff. Zarina ran outside quickly and got into the getaway vehicle. With about $5000 she'd stole and her artistic courage, she got dropped off at Los Santos, waiting to see what the world has prepared for her.
