Vespucci is a bustling tourist destination renowned for its plethora of stores, hotels, and recreational activities. The vibrant Vespucci Beach Sidewalk stands out as a popular spot where beachgoers can explore souvenir shops, rent bicycles, and enjoy ice cream. Benches along the sidewalk offer resting spots for visitors seeking a break from their beachfront strolls. With its lively atmosphere, Vespucci attracts large crowds during daytime hours, especially along its famous beach.
Despite its tourist appeal, Vespucci is also a significant hub for criminal activity, largely due to the operations of Hades. It was previously controlled by Bondi Boys Motor Club. BBMC had formed cooperative partnerships with various gangs, including Chang Gang, The Hidden, Kilo Tray Ballas, and several emerging crews, to collectively push the same weed strain and defend the region. Gangs involved in this alliance benefited from the ability to sell a highly profitable strain of weed with relative safety from law enforcement. The Unified Police Department is often reluctant to investigate drug-related calls in the area due to the presence of multiple armed and dangerous gangs, who frequently repel officers with force.
