Veronica Westfield is the Deputy Chief for the Emergency Medical Services, call-sign Honeybadger-54, and the CEO of Plus One.
Background Information[]
Veronica was born and raised in New Jersey. At times, her accent skews heavily toward the influences of her upbringing, especially when she's particularly annoyed. In the 7th grade, Veronica got into her first fight after being taunted by another girl. The girl was a known bully. As a result, Veronica was thrown out of the Girl Scouts. Soon enough, her father pulled her out of public school and placed her into a private school, despite the pressure it put on him financially. Veronica's father sacrificed a lot, including a chance to find love again, in order to provide for his daughter.
At her new school, her reputation preceded her, and Veronica quickly found herself at the top of the social food chain.
In June of 2012, Veronica crashed her car at a high rate of speed with her cousin Jacob in the passenger seat. The accident killed Jacob and the driver of the other car. Veronica had been driving under the influence. She was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, possession of a controlled substance, and driving under the influence. The charges were eventually dropped thanks to the father of her then girlfriend. The bribery resulted in the driver of the other car being pinned for causing the accident.
Veronica attended college and in early 2018 opened her own business in Jersey, called Shore Thing. It was a flourishing cafe.
Veronica began dating her now ex-wife, Alessandra Casey di Lorenzo, when they were juniors in high school. The two married in 2018. Her ex-wife's family has an excessive amount of wealth and the county judges in their pockets. As a result, when Veronica filed for divorce in November of 2020, a long and contentious battle began.
After filing for divorce, Veronica moved back in with her father, who had raised her by himself after the untimely death of Veronica's mother. As revealed to Shen Bapiro, Veronica's father is conservative. This led to Veronica hiding her identity as a bisexual woman until she was outed several months after she began dating her ex by a post put on social media by her ex. While her father was supportive, this was the first major rift in the relationship Ronni had with her ex. She ignored the massive red flag, wrapped firmly around her ex's finger.
Veronica was accused of cheating on her ex-wife. The woman she was accused of cheating with went on to begin dating her ex-wife after the divorce. As revealed to multiple friends, her ex-wife also took Veronica's Maltese dog, Sparky, who Veronica had adopted before marriage. With nothing but the clothes on her back, Veronica left Jersey to find herself in Los Santos.
As a recent divorcee who moved to Los Santos after losing everything in the divorce from her ex-wife, who employed the best lawyers on the East Coast to ensure that Ronni was left with nothing. Ronni is extremely bitter when the subject of her previous relationship comes up. She is protective of those that she cares about.
Veronica grew up in a single parent household and married her high school sweetheart. Back in Jersey, she owned a highly successful business that she lost in the divorce.
It isn't unusual for Veronica to give money, food, or other supplies to people without looking for anything in return. She often carries extra supplies on her.
Veronica revealed to Dallas Greed that she had been kicked out of the Girl Scouts when she was in the seventh grade for beating up another girl. Subsequently, Veronica was sent to private school by her father.

| On October 3rd, 2021 Veronica suffered from head trauma as a result of a motorcycle accident that sent her flying into a brick wall. As a result of this, she almost slipped up and revealed one of her biggest secrets when being evaluated by a member of the EMS, Rory.
She later told Sem what she had almost said before coming clean to her sister and asking for advice on how to share that information with Josh and when. Semlina told her to wait until she knows how Josh will handle a conflict. On October 9th, Veronica revealed more to Sem during a heart to heart at the Plus One booth about why Veronica was determined to quit drinking. Veronica revealed the circumstances that led to her originally getting sober before she moved to Los Santos. Semlina promised to help her with her recovery. Semlina also told her she should start letting Josh in on this side of her life, considering the pair were looking to buy a house together. Veronica was and remains hesistant to do so. On October 11th, after recieving a scarily accurate tarot card reading from Windsong that mentioned Veronica needing to make a choice, Veronica told Josh part of her past that only Sem knew about. Johanna Golden was let in on some of Veronica's past in the wake of her infection. Nat DaBosse is suspicious of what Veronica is hiding. Veronica has revealed that she has previously driven under the influence and had it end badly, presumably prior to her time in Los Santos. This is part of why she is always worried about her sisters' drinking, despite dealing with her own drinking problem. Veronica has revealed to Josh and to Semlina that she killed her cousin and another woman in a DUI incident. Since mid-October, Veronica has behaved more erratically and has made questionable, reckless choices. In early November, she had a long conversation with Josh about talking to Bob Moss. Her hesistance stemmed from previous experience with therapy while in rehab. Veronica's temper has also flared in recent weeks. In the wake of the attack on Semlina Thaysa by Samuel Hanes, Veronica's anger was fully realized. The family saw a side of Veronica that she had, until that point, kept hidden. Veronica expressed a desire to make Hanes feel what her sister felt several times over. This was a part of Veronica that she desperately wants to ignore. She scared herself with how easily she was willing to resort to violence. Veronica expressed a desire to her family to join the PD, though this was met with great reluctance due to the commitment it requires. Veronica explained that she felt it was the only avenue she could pursue to help people, including those she cares about. | On April 20th, 2022 Veronica recieved a phone call from Randy Bantham, her friend and colleague from EMS. Randy informed her that she needed to get to Pillbox as soon as possible and that it had to do with Lashandra. Veronica was in a car with Pact Nicely and her sister Ashley Justitia at the time. Veronica told the two that she didn't think Lashandra was in the ICU. Once she arrived at Pillbox, Randy brought her to the back, where he told her it was the last time she would see Lashandra. Veronica requested that her sister and Pact come back. Her sister, Reina Vergara arrived shortly after with Dante Thomas.
Veronica reached out to Vincent Genovese but requested he not come down because Ash was there. This conversation led to Veronica lashing out. Veronica attempted to reach Nat Dabosse but was unable to. She then reached out to Rocky Topps, who told her he did everything he could. After storm, Veronica and Ash met up with Nat. They invited Rocky to come down as well. They sat on the beach for two hours talking, with Pact joining them. After Pact and Ash went to bed, Veronica walked to the 24/7 near her home and bought enough liquor to get black out drunk, breaking her sobriety in a way she hadn't in months. Veronica and her sisters set about informing people who needed to know in person, including Sophia McMoo, Adonis Monroe, and Roddy Stone. Veronica spent the day with EMS and getting a job at Uwu Cafe before spending time with her sisters. At Thrashing Thursday at Tequi-la-la V wanted to ask Hubcap to play a song but wasn't sure she could get through it. Ash asked, which led to Hubcap playing Up and At'em Sunshine. Veronica broke down during the song. The sisters, along with Dante Thomas, Joshua Beretta, and Charlie Greene met up at the Up-N-Atom along Vinewood. There, they toasted with mead to Lashandra before putting a memorial on the star in front of the location. |

| In February of 2022, it became increasingly apparent to Veronica that her sisters were not happy with their mothers. While Veronica knew Reina likely had no intentions of wanting to be Nat and Lashandra's daughter again, she had hoped Ash and Semlina still would be. In late February, Nat revealed her plan to Reina after she was unable to complete it. This plan sent ripples through the family, leading the three remaining sisters to disown Nat as their mother. Semlina and Ash also disowned Lashandra.
Veronica was conflicted but ultimately did not want to lose her relationship with Lashandra, as Lashandra is the only parental figure she has left after losing her father earlier in the year. Lashandra and Veronica had a long talk at the pier, clearing the air between them. |

| On May 9th, 2022 Veronica made the decision to come clean to Josh about what she did in the wake of Lashandra's death, knowing that it would likely break him and destroy their relationship in the process. Veronica spent the day talking with her sisters and friends. Randy Bantham, who Veronica has called her best friend on several occasions, called her out on why she did the things she did. Veronica knew he wasn't wrong in his assessment that she had been hiding for so long and pretending to be someone she wasn't to fit with what she thought people wanted her to be.
Veronica was picked up by Josh and the pair headed to the dog park in Vinewood, a place they had gone many times before. Veronica started the conversation by telling Josh she loved him, before she broke his heart. She confessed that in addition to drinking, on several occasions she had taken unknown pills, something she had promised him she would never do. Josh said very little, struggling to process that Veronica had crossed the boundary they had established at the start of their relationship. He took off running toward the Kortz Center, the site of their first date and their engagement. Meanwhile, Veronica called Semlina Thaysa, requesting that Pact go look for Josh. After getting off the phone with Sem, Veronica called Randy. Soon both her sister and best friend arrived at the park, with Reina following soon after. They sat talking for some time before heading to the fire house. Veronica came to the understanding that her previous attempts at getting sober failed because she wasn't doing it for her. She was doing it for others, for Josh. For the first time, she's committing to getting sober for herself, having told friends that if she doesn't, she sees herself dead in the next six months. Late on May 31st, after taking the time of their break to think things through, Veronica ended her relationship with Josh in the parking lot of the El Burro firehouse. |

| In early July 2022, Veronica recieved a phone call from her brother, Joshua 'JB' Berretta. JB seemed worried about a car parked outside his house. He indicated that he recognized the person but couldn't place them. The next day, Veronica recieved an odd note in her mailbox signed by The Terror. A short time later, Ashley Justitia recieved a phone call, ending with being told that JB was in the torture room on Chilliad.
The group raced there while Kiki Pendragon clocked in on duty as EMS, as there were no helicopter certified people on duty. Ash, Franklin 'Happy' Lee, and Veronica met her at the top. Veronica assisted Kiki in treating JB. In the days that followed, Veronica got a phone call and Ash got a second call. The Terror tagged several houses and the Vault and notes turned up at Ashley's, Sem and Pact's house, and Reina and Dante's house. On July 12th, Semlina Thaysa was found to be missing. Veronica headed up to Chiliad, but ended up needing to be helped by Luna Park and Kiki Pendragon after flipping the sandking and being trapped. Within five minutes of leaving the mountain, Veronica and her sister Reina were grabbed by the Terrors, who had already grabbed Ashley, and were taken to a secondary location.
On November 20th, Veronica got a phone call from the Terror. The Terror called her his "favorite test subject" and insinuated he was going to go after her friends because he had done enough physical torture to her. He said he had made her stronger and more confident and told her they had likely met face to face. |

| From the time Veronica moved to the city until the summer of 2022, the Lighthouse was a place she frequented when she needed to think or have a serious discussion.
Veronica has known about Norman Bones since things began dying at the Lighthouse after the Bundy wedding. She went up to the Lighthouse with her boyfriend, Randy Bantham, in the aftermath of Cleo's demise to be with him and his family. Veronica has, for the most part, stayed on the sidelines, comforting when needed and acting as a listening ear for friends such as Kiki Pendragon at times. On November 22nd, 2022 Charlie Greene made a deal with Norman. Veronica suspected as much but Charlie insisted she was just going to decorate the Lighthouse. Veronica had been with Charlie at the time she made her deal, watching through her binoculars from the hill where they had parked. Charlie gathered Veronica, Bryce Miller, Jeffy Coldiron, Sooty Gamwich, Luna Park, Kiki Pendragon, and Sloane Kelly at Sh!ts & Giggles for a last Thanksgiving. Charlie had made the excuse that she was flying to Baltimore early. However, Bryce, Kiki, Jeffy, and Veronica all suspected what was really happening. Jeffy and Charlie left in Veronica's car. Kiki, V, Bryce, Luna, and Sooty tracked the car to the ranger tower near the observatory and watched from afar. Norman appeared on the tower and shortly after, Charlie left with V's car to go to the lighthouse. The group remained at the tower for a short while. They agreed no one would make a deal, even though they all care about Charlie. However, Luna Park asked for Norman's number, something no one was willing to give. Veronica later had a breakdown on the roof of the firehouse fire tower, blaming herself for Charlie making a deal. In Charlie's honor, she continued the tradition of their crane talks with Charlotte Spade later that day after Liam O'Sullivan was placed in the ICU in extremely critical condition. Veronica's primary fear in the wake of Charlie's choice is someone she cares about attempting to make a deal with Norman, continuing the neverending cycle. |

| On October 24th, 2023 while on duty as EMS, Veronica learned that her husband had been taken hostage by Leo Escobar and friends. Minutes later, she heard him call himself "13 Alpha" over radio. She raced to his location in Lifeflight, along with Parker Gun. On scene, she attempted CPR alongside Michael Pike, but made the call for immediate transfer to Simone Memorial Hospital.
At Simone Memorial, Drs. Peri Watson and Ryan Wilson brought Harvey into surgery. Minutes later, Dr. Wilson exited the operating room and informed Veronica of Harvey's passing. She was devastated. In the wake of Harvey's death, Veronica found herself lost. Several days prior to Harvey's death, Leo had dropped Veronica off Maze Tower in an effort to hurt Harvey. |

| In late April 2022, Johanna called Veronica sounding shaken up. Veronica left Reina's wedding rehearsal with Pact Nicely and Charlie Greene to find Johanna at the Dean World pier. Veronica stayed with Johanna through a hospital trip and a visit to the police station. In early May, Veronica recieved a phone call from a panicked Johanna, telling her she needed to get somewhere safe. As a result, Pact Nicely brought Veronica to the Wastelanders while others stayed with Johanna. Her sisters followed her to Grapeseed.
In the days that followed, Veronica and Johanna would stay hidden in plain sight, taking on the personas of Willow and Autumn. The pair decided they weren't going to hide anymore. On May 8th, Johanna met with Brett at the Andi Jones Farmer's Market. Reina Vergara-Thomas, Veronica, Joshua 'JB' Beretta, and Johnny Sinatra were with Johanna, but hidden from sight in case anything were to go wrong. The meeting appeared to happen without incident. On June 17th, Veronica met with Brett Maxwell alone on Mount Gordo. There, she recieved a devil's fortune. After that, she had an odd encounter with him outside Pillbox Medical. On June 21st, Franklin "Serious" Lee revealed that Sad had made a deal with Brett Maxwell and inadvertantly put Veronica in danger when she hadn't been to begin with. On June 26th, Brett Maxwell was attacked by Happy. Veronica knows the bare bones of what happened, having cut Serious off when he called her from an Unknown Number. |

| On October 16th, 2021, Veronica was attacked by "Warbie" at the Dean World pier. Her arm was hatcheted off by the plastic woman and replaced with Warbie's plastic arm. Joshua Norris was with her when this happened. This incident was witnessed by members of the Vagos, including Javier Diaz. Veronica was rushed to Pillbox Medical Center where the clock was ticking on being able to save her arm, should Warbie be located. Her family arrived in quick succession. Her sisters, Reina Vergara and Semlina Thaysa, went after Warbie and attempted to lure her out.
Warbie was found and Veronica's arm was recovered. The surgery was a success, though Veronica did not regain all feeling. Later in the evening, it became apparent that her arm was beginning to become infected. There were no doctors around. Veronica went to bed without having her arm looked at. It is believed the infection started because of the combination of not cleaning her arm properly after crashing on Josh's motorcycle and getting the arm wet in the rain. On October 17th, 2021, Veronica awoke with a dangerously high fever, alone at the house. She wandered outside while talking to Josh on the phone and sat in the canal. She hallucinated seeing her deceased biological mother, Agatha Vetrano. Veronica was then treated and released at Pillbox. Josh, along with Johanna Golden, oversaw her care after being discharged. |

| In late October 2021, Plus One and Cool Beans held a company outing together with a ghost tour from That's Weird. At the desert mine location, bloody handprints and names began to appear.
At the motel in Sandy Shores, the night took a scarier turn as more names began to appear with messages. Veronica wandered into a room alone, where the words 'I know what you did' were written. It was here that Veronica blacked out. She came back to at Pill Box where the group was bringing Daizie and Luke. While she was blacking out, Veronica repeated the phrases "my fault", "i'm sorry", and "it was an accident" over and over. She later stated that she had been reliving one of the most traumatic events of her live, the accident that killed her cousin, Jacob, and another driver, Genevieve Everett. Veronica began suffering from nightmares. Josh stayed up all night with her, to his own detriment. Veronica awoke alone in the house and ended up punching the mirror, breaking the glass and cutting her hand open. She had a breakdown at the Dean World market when hearing Sem recount the evening. While she had been able to talk about it at length earlier, something about what or how Semlina told the story triggered an anxiety response in Veronica. Later in the day, Veronica snuck off from the group and drove out to the motel. She ignored a call from Sem. She re-entered the same room, to find the messages 'I know what you did' 'your fault' and 'murderer' on the wall. This triggered another breakdown. She texted Semlina who then called her. She answered the phone, which in turn led to Sem and Reina headed up to the motel to find Veronica. At the Paleto market, it was determined that Veronica should undergo an exorcism. But no one was around to do one and Reina was not confident in her own abilities. The next day, Veronica underwent an exorcism. She was initially resistent, running away from Semlina at the Paleto market, which led to Semlina taking a trip to Pillbox. Eventually Veronica agreed to an exorcism, which was carried out by Cassandra Silverton. It took four attempts for the exorcism to stick. |

| In the wake of a breakdown in late fall 2021, Veronica sent Semlina a text saying she was taking an immediate leave of absence. She promptly ignored phone calls and twats from her sisters.
It had been prompted by Veronica increasingly feeling left out on top of other unaddressed issues she had been dealing with. Veronica in the wake of this knew she needed to talk to Bob Moss, which was a huge step forward. Veronica and Reina got into a physical altercation at Dean World, where Reina revealed that Josh had shared things she shared with him in confidence. This led to Veronica sleeping at her apartment. In the wake of the fight, Veronica sat with a bunch of homeless guys, including Gunther Klean. Veronica eventually went for a drive with Lashandra, ending up at the university. Lashandra up until that point had no idea that Josh had proposed to Veronica on the rooftop of a university building. The two sat in the grass talking for a bit as Veronica shared more about what led to the fight with Reina. The sisters eventually made up after Veronica had an accident on a mountain. |

| In mid-November 2021, Veronica fell down the mountain at the quarry while metal detecting with Josh. This resulted in her breaking her leg and sustaining a concussion with minor amnesia. Veronica temporarily forgot the most traumatic events that happened to her.
Veronica's memories slowly returned. Among the last to return was the memory of her fight with her sisters, specifically Reina. Veronica had sent a text saying she was taking a leave of abscence the day before her accident. This was not well recieved and led to a physical fight between Veronica and Reina at the pier. Veronica had taken a leave because of feeling increasingly left out, both personally and professionally, by her sisters, regardless of how true that may have been. Veronica felt like any time her sisters invited her out it was to some place where alcohol was present and where temptation would be at an all time high. Reina revealed that Josh had told them things Veronica had said in confidence, leading Veronica to storm off telling Josh she was sleeping at her apartment. She ended up hanging out with a group of people sitting on the pier, including Gunther Klean, before Lashandra Targent took her for a car ride up to the university. There, the pair talked about what happened and why it happened. After losing her memories, Veronica was lighter. Not bogged down by the thoughts of her own trauma and bad memories, Veronica was somewhat reminiscent of herself early on in the city. The final memory to return was her memory of the accident that killed her cousin. This happened while at the pier. Veronica had found information while at home earlier in the day that mentioned her birth name of Tegan Averal. Veronica was extremely confused and mentioned to Tracey-Rose and Ela. She had also started growing her natural hair color back out, not understanding why she had dyed her hair from red to blonde/light brown. Semlina took Veronica away from the pier for a talk after Veronica started panicking about the fact that she had been responsible for her cousin's death. Semlina revealed a secret of her own to Veronica. During the time without her memories, Veronica felt less inclined to apply for the police department, indicating that her desire to join the PD is a direct result of the things she had been through. |

| Alessandra Casey di Lorenzo (who commonly goes by Casey) is Veronica's ex-wife from before she moved to the city. Casey met Veronica when Veronica transferred to the same school in 7th grade after the Girl Scout incident.
Casey saw opportunity with Veronica, who had no idea who the di Lorenzo family were. From a young age, Casey knew how to manipulate people to get what she wanted. Her father approved of Casey's crush and obession with Veronica. The two began dating by the time they were sixteen. Veronica was head over heels and by that point had been well and truly integrated into the di Lorenzo family. Casey spoiled her with all sorts of material items, especially after fights. Veronica had no idea about the criminal side of the family until their senior year, which was the first time Veronica was forced to take part in something when she attended her first party with Casey. She saw a different side of Casey that night. It was in essence, Casey's debut as the future head of the di Lorenzo crime family. Veronica would eventually be forced to participate in the torture of a snitch, something she hated, several months after her accident. It was both a lesson and a display of the fact that no matter what Veronica did, her life was in Casey and the family's hands. Veronica has stated to several people that she only participated twice and it was under duress. The only truth in the statement was that it was under duress. The truth, however, was much more grim. The di Lorenzo family used her as a tool, reminding her often of just how much control they had over her and how easily they could destroy her life. The things she did while part of the di Lorenzo family haunt her. She eventually escaped, entering witness protection after acting as a criminal informant for months because she couldn't take her life not being her own anymore. She was placed in Wisconsin, where she eventually slipped away from her handler because she hated her life still not fully being her own. Now in Los Santos, Veronica's unaddressed trauma has begun to surface and exhibit itself in her recklessness. Veronica still worries that Casey could show up eventually, even though the last she knew, Casey was awaiting trial back in New Jersey. On December 10th, 2022 Veronica learned that Casey was transferred to Bolingbroke. She learned this after her close friend, Franklin Lee, was placed on a 5150 hold at the prison, due to the fire at Parsons. |

| On September 26th, Joshua Norris asked Veronica out, to which she said yes. Veronica had acknowledged to Sem and Reina several days prior that she was starting to like Josh a lot, and that she often woke up to texts from him just checking in. Veronica had heavily implied to Roddy and others that she was seeing Meredith casually.
Before Josh asked her out, the pair were hanging out with friends, metal detecting at the quarry. Roddy Stone jumped down to where they were, which evoked the joking response from Veronica that he had ruined the moment. Later, when Josh did ask her out, Veronica joked that the locals interrupting the moment were all named Roddy. On September 30th, Josh and Veronica had their first disagreement. After drinking with Semlina, Veronica ended up in Pillbox because she got in the way of Sem's machete. Veronica decided not to tell Josh the truth, despite the fact that she hates lying to those she cares about and in fact, often finds herself incapable of lying convincingly to them. When heading to the SubUrban with Josh, Reina, and Semlina, Veronica got the impression Josh knew she had lied. Sem pulled her to the side and told her she should tell Josh, something Veronica had already been planning on doing after hearing him make a comment about not wanting to lie. When Veronica finally confessed at the pier, Josh forgave her while telling her he didn't want to start off their relationship with lies. Veronica told him the only reason she lied was because she was worried he would be upset with Sem, who is one of her best friends. Shortly after, Veronica got an emergency text from Sem to send help to the Fun Factory. Josh and Veronica raced there. Nat DaBosse met the pair there. Nat and Sophia McMoo headed into the building once it became clear that police were not coming while Josh and Veronica remained outside. In the wake of this event, Josh and Veronica returned to her apartment to talk, before turning in for the night to watch movies. In October, the pair bought a house together in the Vespucci Canals. Josh and Veronica often joke about breaking up, in response to comments from friends and family about how well they work together. One such incident led to Semlina Thaysa, Reina Vergara, and Ela Blu trapping the duo in a candy booth at Dean World, with Sem declaring they were to stay in there until they were engaged. A passerby released the couple. After being forcibly brought to Sophia McMoo's home in Paleto, the pair ran off, heading to one of their spots in Blaine County to spend time together and talk. On November 6th, Josh proposed to Veronica at one of their many spots after leading her on a scavenger hunt around the island. During December, Josh and Veronica's relationship issues were forced front and center by Veronica's actions and inactions, leading to the pair arguing more than ever and in public. Veronica's stubborn nature and impulsiveness has nearly led to the relationship ending several times. In January, Veronica met Easton once again. Her day with him left her in a confused and somewhat traumatized state after his attempts at gaslighting her and overall negging her. When explaining the situation to Josh later on, Veronica did a poor job explaining what happened, leaving Josh to leave the house telling her he couldn't be around her . The two eventually spoke two days later, after Josh headed home to see that Veronica had been sleeping on the couch. Josh texted her that he was ready to talk and met her in Mirror Park. The duo headed to the Vinewood sign, a place they had not been since the start of their relationship. As the sun set, Josh and Veronica had a serious conversation about what had happened and about how Josh cannot trust her word that she will make a serious attempt to get better and reign in her more impulsive nature. During this conversation, Veronica thought back to her reading with Nancy from That's Weird. In the tarot reading, Veronica had been told that she and Josh needed to rebalance, reconnect, and remember their roots from when they got together. Veronica suggested the pair enter into relationship counseling, which Josh agreed to. In May of 2022, Veronica admitted to Josh that she had taken pills on several occasions after the death of Lashandra. This led to the pair going on a break and not speaking for three weeks. Josh reached out on May 29th, just hours after Veronica and her best friend admitted that they had feelings for one another. Josh saw the friend's car outside his and Veronica's house. Veronica had a long conversation with her sister, Ashley, about her conflicting feelings. On May 31st, Veronica ended the relationship in the parking lot of El Burro firestation On December 11th, 2022 Josh returned to the city with no recollection of Veronica or their past relationship, something Veronica stated was probably a good thing. |

She began to feel like she had no relationship. She began talking to friends and getting their input. She ultimately returned her key to his house and removed his key to her house while she thought things over. In early January 2023, Veronica came to her decision on her relationship with Randy. While she still cares for him deeply, she feels like their relationship is non-existent. As a result, the pair parted ways amicably. |

Sometime in February, Harvey and Veronica dropped the pretense of being "just friends". The first time they said "I love you" and it not being a weird fever dream was over the phone while Veronica was treating James Randal at the GG gas station boxing ring. Veronica and Harvey married on April 15th, 2023, in a ceremony put together at the last minute. Their wedding was officiated by Damien Tinkerman and Tessa Lamb. On October 24th, 2023 Harvey was killed by Leo Escobar after being pushed out of a helicopter while on duty. His last words were "Show 977 13 Alpha". Veronica responded to the call. The accident killed both Jacob and the other driver, a Genevieve Everett. In the wake of the accident, Veronica was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter along with driving under the influence. Thanks to the money and influence of her now ex-wife's family, Veronica was able to escape being charged and the blame was placed on the other driver. Veronica's sisters and Josh know the full story. Others in her life only know bits and pieces. Veronica carries an incredible amount of guilt from Jacob's death. She still has nightmares about it from time to time. Jacob had wanted to be a paramedic in New York. This is one reason Veronica wanted to become part of the EMS in Los Santos. However, it is also part of the reason Veronica is adverse to promotions and getting certifications. She feels guilty that she can have the career Jacob wanted. |

Randy told Veronica to get to Pillbox right away and that it had to do with Lashandra. Veronica told Pact and Ash that she didn't think it was just an ICU. Upon arrival at Pillbox, Randy broguht Veronica back to the ICU. It was there that he told her that it would be the last time she saw Lashandra. Veronica asked him to get her sister and Pact before crumbling to the floor. Reina arrived soon after with her fiance, Dante Thomas. Veronica tried reaching Nat Dabosse, Lashandra's partner, and her former mother. Nat was unable to be reached. Veronica reached out to Rocky Topps, who had found Lashandra along with the mayor, Sabith 'Bunny' Cohen. After storm, Veronica, Ash, and Nat met up. Semlina Thaysa went off on her own with her partner, Pact. Veronica, Ash, and Nat sat talking and invited Rocky to join them. They sat for two hours on the beach, talking about Lashandra and talking about other things as they came up. The following day, Veronica reached out to both Rocky and Bunny, thanking them again for being with Lashandra, as well as for being there for Nat. |

Veronica avoids Tequi-la-la like the plague. However, two of the three times she has gone in have been related to Reina. The first was with Ash Justitia to talk about the Winter Formal with Shadow. The second was after Semlina brought Ash and Veronica there to check on Reina. Veronica is typically adament about avoiding the bar because she feels she's not at that point in her recovery where she can be around that much alcohol. The only other time she has gone there was with Josh because of a work obligation. In the wake of Reina's return to Japan, Veronica was left conflicted on what to do. She felt hurt that Reina didn't view them as sisters any longer. Ultimately, Veronica decided to embrace who Reina is. Veronica has become increasingly frustrated with her mothers wanting to fix Reina. Veronica and Reina were kidnapped by the Blocks, along with Easton Staymates and forced to have a knife fight. Veronica and Reina both charged Easton, with Veronica stabbing him with her switchblade. They were then taken to the Lost compound where Veronica left the choice of volunteering to assist the Lost with their attempt at independence up to Reina. At the boxing event in Vespucci Beach, Veronica pointedly ignored him and called him a mosquito. Veronica has conflicting feelings around Easton but felt that his chaotic nature would hasten the end of her relationship with Josh, which she was determined to prevent. Veronica told Reina that if she had met Easton first, chances were she would have never gotten with Josh. What she didn't voice was that she would also probably be dead based off the small sliver of things she experienced in a twelve hour period with Easton. Veronica as of December 2023 considers Easton to be one of her best friends. |

On February 17th, 2023, Veronica was found passed out on the beach near her Paleto home by Ranger Dulio. She was treated on scene by AEMT William Fox and brought to Simone Memorial Hospital via Lifeflight. Dr. Lennon Bundy treated her after determining that Veronica was in the middle of a crash. Her medication dosage was raised by half a pill. Veronica has continued to struggle with her Addison's. On August 7th, 2023, it was finally added to Veronica's medical profile that she has Addison's after she was attacked by the serial killer Fate. |

| Veronica has suffered from PTSD since before she moved to the city. Her run in with The Terror made it worse. The combination of feeling cold and wet can trigger her. | Veronica has struggled with addiction since she was a teenager. She began drinking at fourteen and began using drugs by fifteen. Her drugs of choice were cocaine, ecstasy, and LSD.
Veronica stopped drinking for a good while after the accident that claimed the life of her cousin. She had a stint in rehab that was ineffective at treating the root causes of her additcion. Her rehab center was one that catered to the who's who of wealthy people that was designed to make money, not help people. It was while in rehab that Veronica began to develop her distaste and distrust for therapy. Prior to moving to Los Santos, Veronica fell off from her recovery several times, but never to the point she was at the age of eighteen. It was not until moving to Los Santos and going through the traumas that living in the city can bring that she fell back into those bad habits hard. When Veronica told Mathias Dawson that she had never tried weed before, she was being truthful. Casey had always found the drug to be classless and Veronica hung on her word as if it was the only truth. Several times since moving to Los Santos, Veronica has taken pills, but has since committed to her sobriety. Veronica attempted to by cocaine from her friend and former co-worker Park 'Santa' Parker. Santa refused to sell to Veronica after learning about her addiction struggles. The two had a long talk by the side of the Dean World stage. Lester Sweets also offered Veronica cocaine once, shortly after he and Josh began speaking again. Josh was not happy to learn this. Veronica did not take the cocaine, but has been tempted to buy from Lester several times. Veronica was also tempted to take oxycotin in the wake of her amputation. She did not take it. She has done oxy runs with Charlotte Greene, after which she was once more tempted to take the drug, but instead sold it at the Fence. Veronica made the decision to get sober for herself on May 2nd, 2022. To date, it's her longest run at sobriety apart from her time before moving to Los Santos. On December 10th, 2023, Veronica began to inform her friends that she was leaving town for a bit to enter into an in patient rehab program. |

She chose to stay on the beach for a bit before grabbing the bike. Upon arrival at her home on Milton Road in Vinewood, Veronica was appraoched by Fate.
Fate took her phone, government radio, gun, and karambit, though the latter was returned. Veronica was taken to the subway station and had her left kidney and part of her liver removed. She was also poisoned with strychnine. When medical arrived on scene, Veronica's vitals crashed. She was treated by Balto Connelly. Veronica was stabilized at the hospital by Dr Peri Watson and Dr Lotte Breeze, but crashed twice over night. The dialysis to remove the toxin was not working as hoped. Dr Alexander Bones and Dr Rosabel Briar conducted her checkup. |

| On October 21st, 2023, Veronica went with Leo Escobar on his moped to talk about how to resolve their differences when it comes to him hurting her husband, Harvey Holden. Leo informed Veronica, who was on duty as EMS, that she was his hostage and brought her to the roof of Maze Bank Tower. He had her try to call Harvey several times. He was on the phone. Eventually, EMS status checked her and realized she was not responding. PD arrived and Leo eventually threw her off the tower when negotiations did not go well.
Veronica broke her right femur and required a rod be placed. She also broke her left arm in multiple places, from the shoulder down, with a compound fracture below the elbow. Her lung was also punctured. The rib that punctured her lung was unable to be saved and was replaced with a titanium rib. Veronica ended up not being admitted to ICU and instead left the hospital with friends. Since the Fate incident, Veronica has no desire to stay in the hospital as a patient for longer than strictly needed. |

Veronica had a small moment of panic once back at Pillbox. On July 17th, Veronica moved to call sign T-49, which belonged to her then-boyfriend Randy Bantham before he transitioned to C-5. This left Callsign 95 open for her sister, Ashley Justitia to take after she was hired. On August 11th Veronica was promoted to EMT after a stealth final evaluation by Lieutenant Tommy Melarky. Veronica had previously failed her first final evaluation (but was promoted to solo) on July 20th after seconded guessing herself. Tommy told her to change her shirt because she was now an EMT. In the days that followed, Veronica would superglue her trainee shirt to herself as she continued to doubt hersekf. On October 5th, Lieutenant Kiki Pendragon made Veronica an FTO. On October 8th, Veronica was promoted to A-EMT by Lieutenant Kiki Pendragon, while Franklin "Happy" Lee was promoted to EMT. V and Happy had to jump from Maze Tower with parachutes and land at the vault. Veronica ended up hitting a building and became a 14 Bravo. On October 26th, Veronica became co-shift 2 lead with Kiki for the time being. On November 9th, Lieutenant Pendragon promoted Veronica to FTI from FTO. On December 2nd, Chief Rivington Rivera promoted Veronica to Paramedic at the same time he promoted Happy to A-EMT and Kiki to Captain after having the trio parachute to UwU Café and then dress as one another unknown to the others. On December 29th, 2022 Veronica completed her water certification training with Lieutenant Ayub Elmi. On January 20th, 2023, Veronica was promoted to Lieutenant by Luna Park and Kiki Pendragon. They had her parachute with the rest of EMS to the Vinewood Bowl. In a departure from her promotions to AEMT and Paramedic, Veronica landed safely and initially did not bravo. However, she jumped down from the top of the Vinewood Bowl where she landed, bravo'ing and completing the tradition. On March 7th, 2023, Luna Park was promoted to a solo cadet in the UPD. She asked Veronica if she would take callsign 92. Veronica said she would hold on to it until Ren, who Luna originally wanted to take the callsign, was able to come around more. On March 17th, 2023, while at the Liquid Library with former Captain Luna Park and Deputy Chief Kiki Pendragon, Veronica was promoted to Captain by Kiki. Kiki went through her to do list, ending with needing to promote Veronica to Captain. It was a full circle moment, as Veronica's first promotion to EMT was a quiet affair where Veronica was told she was being promoted. Veronica joked the the parachuting occured the previous day on the EMS ladies camping trip, which ended with EMS event coordinator Pact Nicely going splat on Mount Chiliad. On June 26th, 2023, while meeting with Commissioner Sam Baas, Deputy Harvey Holden, and then Deputy Chief Kiki Pendragon in regards to an unrelated matter, Veronica was appointed Deputy Chief of EMS by Sam Baas and Kiki was appointed as Chief of EMS. Upon her promotion, Veronica adopted the callsign Honeybadger-92. On November 8th, 2023, Veronica returned Call-Sign 92 to Luna Park. She transitioned to H-54. When Harvey was EMS, his Call-Sign had been T-54. |
