Veronica Calaway (née Westfield) is a character role-played by AmericanSneakers.

General Description[]

Veronica Calaway is the Chaplain and first Old Lady of the Raiders MC. She is the former Deputy Chief for the Emergency Medical Services, call-sign Honeybadger-6.

Background Information[]

Veronica was born and raised in New Jersey. At times, her accent skews heavily toward the influences of her upbringing, especially when she's particularly annoyed. She moved to Los Santos in 2021 to escape from her past, after she became a criminal informant. Once moving to Los Santos, Veronica found herself maintaining a mostly crime free lifestyle and married an officer in April of 2023. Her husband was later killed in the line of duty in October of 2023.

Veronica left Los Santos to go to Montana for inpatient rehab to address her alcoholism and drug addiction after originally considering going to San Fierro. Following the evacuation of Los Santos, Veronica traveled for a while, terrified that her past may come back to haunt her. With Casey's whereabouts unknown, she continued to lay low. Eventually, Veronica got Irish citizenship through her paternal grandparents. She spent the year prior to her return to Los Santos working as EMS in Dublin, Ireland.

She returned to EMS five years sober and with a handle on her C-PTSD.

Notable Events[]

Return to Los Santos
Veronica returned to Los Santos on December 15th. She dove headfirst into rebuilding the Emergency Medical Services alongside Kiki Pendragon and the rest of the previous EMS High Command. Veronica soon reconnected with old friends like Charlotte Spade and Happy Lee. Veronica also re-connected with Benny Razer, who she had started to become friends with five years prior.

Veronica has found herself struggling since the new year. Her inconsistency with her medication has caused her issues, including the resurfacing of nightmares and insomnia.

Departure from EMS
In January of 2024, Veronica and Kiki met with Sean "Irish" McQuillen and Finley Milton atop the parking garage adjacent to Central Medical Center and the ADMC Yard. It was as a result of this conversation that Kiki learned of Veronica's intention to leave EMS within six months. Veronica returned to Los Santos and to the Emergency Medical Services with the intention of helping Kiki and the rest of high command rebuild the department.

Over the following weeks, a series of events pushed Veronica to her breaking point. The conflict surrounding the firing of Finley Milton and the conflict that occurred with the majority of the MCs in the city contributed to Veronica's growing frustrations. Veronica was suspended from the department on February 15th after beating down Charlotte Spade on the roof of Central Medical Center. On February 18th, after a discussion with EMS Captain and long time friend Franklin "Happy" Lee, Veronica made the decision to step away from EMS and from her position as Deputy Chief. Prior to this, she had had discussions with several people about her growing frustrations with the department and things that were going on.

On February 20th, Veronica met with Kiki at the former EMS headquarters, El Burro Heights Firestation. On top of the fire tower that saw many decisions made for the department, Veronica handed Kiki her letter of resignation and explained why she was leaving.

Stabbing of Charlotte Spade
On March 11th, 2024 Veronica reached out to Charlotte Spade to have a conversation near the Lighthouse. Veronica met up with her with the intention to stab her, after learning the previous day that Charlotte had omitted a key detail from her re-telling of the day that her phone was dropped off at the Lighthouse. Before ending the conversation, Veronica told Charlotte to lose her number and then slit her throat. Several weeks prior, Veronica had beaten Charlotte down on the roof of Central Medical, after a confrontation in the fallout of the LSMC situation.

Veronica fled to Paleto, changing her outfit and calling Rue Day from a payphone. Rue arrived with Kermy Fulker and brought Veronica back down to the city, away from the area. While Veronica's phone records were subpeonaed, she was never charged with anything in connection to the attack on Charlotte Spade nor was she ever questioned.

Casey's Return
On May 13th, Veronica's 30th birthday, she recieved a text from a number she didn't have saved. She quickly learned that it belonged to her ex-wife, Casey di Lorenzo. Their conversation ended with Casey telling Veronica it was a perfect night for a tarot card reading, which confused her. The next day, Veronica realized that Casey must have gotten a tarot card reading from someone, and recalled that Windsong had been advertising them the previous night. Veronica retrived the sim card from Windsong and called Rue Day, asking for help interpreting the cards that had been texted to the number. It was during this conversation at the Chumash Pier that Veronica confided in Rue about her past.

In the days that followed, Veronica also spoke with Dax Marshall and Wally West about her past and what brought her to Los Santos. While these were conversations she had already planned on having, Casey's return expedited the need for Veronica to have these conversations.

In August, Casey made her prescence known via Twatter post. The post indicated that she had seen and even spoke to Veronica, who would not have recognized her. Raiders MC hangarounds Flynn and James were with Veronica at the time. The post triggered a massive panic attack for Veronica, who ran off frantic. In the days that followed, her return would trigger an argument between Mason and Veronica over Veronica's increasing recklessness.

On August 6th, Veronica recieved a text from Kenneth Jesperson's phone. The text message was from Casey, indicated that a "gift" had been left for Veronica near Parsons. Veronica headed in that direction with Kiki Pendragon and James Callahan. Kiki found Kenneth Jesperson stabbed in the stomach near the fruit stand. Shortly after, Wade Wilson and Wally West arrived. The Raiders took Kenneth to the hospital, where Veronica saw a woman who matched Casey's description. Veronica followed her out, but ultimately did not grab her because she couldn't fully confirm it was in fact her ex-wife. Upon relaying this to Mason, he questioned why Veronica made the call not to grab the woman in question.

In a phone call conversation with Kenneth after the stabbing, he cautioned Veronica against trusting anyone, including those she thinks are friends.

With Casey resurfacing and the stress from the fallout from the death of Beverly Brekker, Veronica's already recurrant nightmares worsened. On August 13th, Veronica spent most of the day in a state of heightened anxiety. This led to Veronica texting Kenneth Jesperson's old number, which last she knew was in the possession of Casey. Veronica revealed this to Dax Marshall in a hillside conversation. Veronica went on to talk to Mason about what she had done, though she felt guilty about adding to his stress as he recovered from a traumatic brain injury.

First Old Lady of the Raiders MC
Impressed that Veronica volunteered a personal parking space for the Raiders MC's weed pushing, their President Lane suggested that Veronica's boyfriend Mason Calaway gauge her interest in becoming an Old Lady for the Raiders MC--a lifetime commitment that could only be ended by blooding out. Lane explained to Veronica that an Old Lady role would open up the club part of Mason's life currently kept secret from her--but would also put her fate in his hands. Veronica affirmed that she felt safe, secure, and comfortable enough with Mason to make the commitment. In the Raiders MC chapter meeting on June 7, 2024, Veronica formally requested the honor of becoming an Old Lady. The club went in a circle asking her questions and voicing their opinions, then unanimously voted 7-0 in favor of it. During the hilltop ceremony officiated by Lane on June 13, 2024 to blood Veronica into the Raiders MC as their first Old Lady, she stood in a circle of candles lined by Lane, Wade Wilson, Rue Day, Dax Marshall, Wally West, and Mason. Veronica recited her vows. Lane reminded her that she will be a Raider that every club member would lay down their life to protect. For the ritual, Mason and Veronica drank snake venom wine from a chalice. Rue tied a rope onto Veronica's left arm, and Mason lit it on fire with a candle. The rope burned her arm before finally falling to the ground. Everybody celebrated. Afterward, Veronica tried on the Raiders MC Old Lady kutte for the first time.
The Murder of Casey di Lorenzo
On November 16th, while having a conversation with Flynn Bobarge on the balcony of the clubhouse, Veronica and Flynn took notice of a Seminole circling the area. The two left the clubhouse with their guns drawn. The Seminole initially rolled up on Veronica but drove off. Flynn and Veronica ran to his car and confronted the driver on Great Ocean Highway, where she was pulled over. Once the driver said they were looking for someone with pink hair, Veronica existed the vehicle with her gun drawn and ordered the driver, who she determined was Casey, out of the vehicle. At that time, a second Seminole, driven by someone later identified to Veronica as Kenneth Jesperson, pulled up. A firefight ensued, with Kenneth getting taken down by Veronica and Flynn. Flynn was able to incapacitate Casey. The pair took Casey in her rented Seminole to the Swamps, where they were met by Veronica's husband, Mason Calaway. Veronica and Mason took Casey to the Lighthouse, where Veronica proceeeded to carve into her. Eventually, they got the location of Dust Slate from her. Mason shot Casey, finishing the job of killing her. From Casey, Veronica took three SIM cards, one of which belonged to Dust Slate, and a civilian 1911.

Veronica and Mason found Dust Slate, who seemed to be afraid of Veronica. Unable to stay and provide aid, Veronica and Mason left, with Mason placing an anonymous 911.

In the aftermath, Veronica found herself in a state of shock as the adrenaline wore off. She sustained four bullet wounds in the firefight on Great Ocean Highway. Mason stitched her up in the clubhouse. It was at the clubhouse that Veronica was informed by EMS that Dust had passed away. Veronica blamed herself. This was followed up by a phone call from Joshua Lanagan, identifying Kenneth as the second driver from the shootout.

On November 18th, 2024 a dissociating Veronica made a phone call to Senior Officer Charlotte Spade. Veronica was checking in on her following the death of Dust Slate. Charlotte inquired about why Veronica was calling from an unknown number, to which Veronica replied that she knew why. Charlotte insisted they could talk about the charges she was facing for a prior incident with Johanna Golden. Veronica told her she would have to catch her first.

Later that evening, Veronica was pulled over after running a red light and was apprehended for the attempted murder of Johanna Golden. This confirmed her suspicion that the warrant had nothing to do with the murder of her ex-wife.

Veronica confessed to Duke Ramsey that she had very little recollection of her day. Duke determined that her actions were likely the result of her Borderline Personality Disorder. Veronica also told Duke that she feels guilty about Dust's death. Veronica told Mason about her warrant apprehension upon returning home that evening.

On December 22nd, 2024 Veronica and Mason were apprehended after Mason was chased from a traffic stop. Mason had been on the way to meet with Fenyx. Mason ejected out of the car Lane was driving and ended up opening fire on officers. Veronica prematurely jumped out of Wade's Cara Cara, which she had been driving. Veronica fired off several shots before being downed by officers. She and Mason were sent up on 24 hour holds for the murder and torture of Casey.

On January 17th, 2025, Veronica and Mason turned themselves in at MRPD to serve their five year sentences for the murder of Casey di Lorenzo. They had signed the plea deal for five years in prison, seven years of parole, and a $400,000 fine the day prior.

The Johanna Incidents
On October 21st, 2024, Veronica met with Johanna Golden on the Del Perro Pier. By the end of the conversation, Veronica, pushed to the edge, stabbed Johanna in the stomach. In late November, Veronica was apprehended on a warrant connected to the attack. They slowly began to mend their friendship after.

On February 2nd, 2025, Johanna reached out to Veronica asking to talk. Veronica was aware at the time that Johanna was struggling and true to form, wanted to help her. Veronica informed Rylee Kenwood of where she was going, though she assured her and others that it would be fine. The conversation took a turn as Veronica pushed Johanna to the edge. Johanna lashed out, hitting Veronica over the back of the head with a wrench. A panicked Johanna fled from the scene and was later picked up by Mason and the Raiders while Veronica was in surgery.

In August of 2025, Veronica learned that Johanna was taken by Ember, tortured, and partially brainwashed. Veronica learned that Johanna left Ember. Following this event, Veronica met with Ember to talk. The talk ended in Veronica stabbing Ember. Veronica would later go on to burn down two of the Smiley locations.

The Death of Winston Walker
On February 26th, 2025 as the Raiders MC held a chapter meeting following the prospecting of Marty Holiday and Gareth Graves and the blooding out of Flynn Bobarge, Veronica received a phone call from a distraught Etta Hawthorne, informing her that Norman Bones had delivered Winston Walker's heart to her at Central Medical Center. Veronica reached out to her adoptive sister, Kiki Pendragon. Veronica left in the middle of the meeting to go inform Kiki of Winston's death. Duke Ramsey confirmed to Veronica that the DNA matched Winston Walker. Furthermore, it was confirmed to Veronica that night that Winston's body was found at the Lighthouse, missing his head.

In the days the followed, Veronica, who was already running on empty, tended to her sister, apart from several days that she spent out of town on an anniversary trip with her husband, Mason Calaway. Veronica suffered from nightmares from the night of Winston's death until several days after his funeral, with Kiki's sobs featuring heavily along with the fog. During the funeral, Veronica stood guard, determined to stand between Kiki and any potential appearance by Norman Bones or Dr. Smith.

Following the funeral, Kiki transferred Mirror Park Blvd 1 to Veronica and left town to go stay with the Bundys in Washington state.

The Love Triangle
In late September of 2024, Faraday Murphy arrived in Los Santos as a transfer from the Washington charter of the Raiders MC. Mason was assigned to be her sponsor. After a series of events that led to Faraday getting injured, Mason stayed in bed with her at the clubhouse while Veronica was present. It was after this series of events that Faraday developed feelings for Mason. Veronica and Mason would go on to elope in October.

In May of 2025, as Faraday split with her partner Bobby Beldrum, she moved on with Veronica's half brother, Lincoln Page. When Mason and Veronica spoke, Mason mentioned that he wanted to propose Linc as a hangaround. Veronica suggested that he refrain, and when questioned, revealed that she believed Linc and Faraday still had feelings for each other. Mason reacted poorly, which raised suspicions with Veronica that she brushed off. As the weeks passed, Veronica became increasingly paranoid that Mason was jealous of Linc. The night Mason went with Faraday to talk about her relationship with Linc, Veronica voiced to Linc that if she didn't know any better, she would say her husband was jealous.

A week after this, on June 12th, 2025, Mason and Veronica spoke on the hill near the observatory, the same spot where she had been blooded in a year prior. Veronica confronted him and he admitted to kissing Faraday. In a subsequent conversation with Lane, Veronica reaffirmed that she would not leave Mason, even as Lane floated the idea of Veronica petitioning for her independence from him at chapter. On June 16th, after chapter and the club ride, Lane and Wally had a discussion at the end of the pier with Veronica, Mason, and Faraday about not allowing the situation to affect the club.

On June 17th, Faraday approached V and apologized. In this conversation, Faraday made it clear she was washing her hands of the whole ordeal, and urged V to choose herself. Following this conversation and Faraday's brief confrontation with Mason, Veronica and Mason spoke briefly about it.

The Return of Keith Averal
On June 13th, Veronica was made aware that someone was asking about her at the food court that fit the description of her father. On June 18th, he texted her. In the heated exchange, he revealed he had been keeping tabs on her and that he had always been aware of the existence of Lincoln Page. Veronica warned Linc and told the club.
Chaplain for the Raiders MC
At the conclusion of chapter on June 9th, a dismayed Veronica was named chaplain for the Raiders MC. Veronica reacted poorly to this appointment.

On June 16th, she had a conversation with her grandfather, Balto. Balto cautioned Veronica that she would burn out in the role and that in essence, she had made her own role as Old Lady obsolete.

Divorce from Mason Calaway
In November of 2025, the divorce between Mason and Veronica was finalized. After a series of events culminating with Mason shooting toward Veronica, Mason told her on November 23rd, 2025 his intention to tell the club he no longer wanted her as his Old Lady, forcing her to either Patch or leave.

On November 24th, 2025 Mason secretly informed Veronica that if he showed up at chapter that night, he would be blooded out. Veronica pleaded with him to flee the city and live in exile. Mason would go on to flee. In that same chapter meeting, Veronica became Lane's Old Lady.

'

Before Los Santos
Prior to moving to Los Santos, Veronica was married to the daughter of the head of one of the biggest crime families back home. Veronica was coerced into being loyal to the family. Nicknamed "Reaper", Veronica was someone others feared when she was part of the di Lorenzo's operation. She hated every moment of it. Her maternal grandparents were complicit in pushing her toward the di Lorenzo family, as much like her father, they wanted the status that came with it.

Veronica's maternal grandmother often forced her into society events, coming from a wealthy family herself. She never truly approved of her daughter's relationship with Keith Averal, until his plumbing business took off and he began working with the di Lorenzo family. Veronica has always had a very low opinion of her maternal grandmother, as she always made it clear that Veronica was more of a prop to her than a person.

When she was eighteen, Veronica killed her cousin and another driver while driving under the influence. This was the first thing utilized by the di Lorenzo family to keep her in line. From there, Veronica was forced into becoming an asset for the family. The things she did were held over her head as a threat if she ever considered walking away. While she did love Casey, she realized as she got older that what Casey felt toward her was less love and more obsession. This was part of the catalyst for Veronica searching for a way out of the life she never wanted for herself.

Several months before leaving, Veronica was forced into the position of killing her best friend, Victoria, after her journal, where she talked about wanting to leave and wanting to be able to live her life freely without the threats looming over her, was discovered. This was the catalyst for Veronica finally taking the steps to leave. She came to the realization that the only way she was leaving was in a body bag, and that she had a slim chance of survival if she cooperated with federal authorities to try to destroy the di Lorenzo family's multi-generation operation.

Death of Her Husband
Five years before the borders reopened, Veronica's husband, Harvey Holden, was thrown out of a helicopter to his death by Leo Escobar. His death devastated Veronica, who was the responding medic. Veronica blamed herself for some time after his death. Following his death, Veronica spiraled, spending most days drinking herself into a stupor.

The day Leo Escobar was found guilty of the murder, Veronica headed to the SDSO cemetery, where she sat with Harper Belmont, Luka Kovacic, Han Velsing, and Michael Pike for some time.

Just days before the economy collapsed, Leo Escobar was released on parole. Two days later, Leo RPG'd Harvey's grave and texted Veronica saying she was next.

Five Year Gap
During the five years the borders of Los Santos were closed, Veronica spent sixty days in inpatient rehab, thirty more than she planned on, with an additional two months of outpatient rehabilitation. While she initially planned to go to San Fierro for rehab, Veronica headed to Montana, where she was able to focus on herself and her recovery both from her addiction and the numerous traumas she had endured before and during her time in Los Santos.

Following rehab, Veronica herself in a bit of hot water after leveraging some favors owed to her in order to destroy the di Lorenzo family Estate back home. She was caught by the di Lorenzo family after destroying the estate. She was quickly able to get out of the situation, but not without a few new scars.

After settling that bit of unfinished business, she traveled the world. The one constant was her frequent trips to Vice City in search of Easton Staymates. By Veronica's estimate, she made no less than 30 trips in the five years the borders of Los Santos were closed. She ended up obtaining Irish citizenship and moving to Dublin for a year an a half. Veronica picked up an "Irish" accent while in Dublin because of her tendancy to pick up the accents of the people around her when she's in one place for long enough. Because of this, after moving back to Los Santos and rejoining the EMS, she avoids Officer Kian McNulty as much as she can.

Veronica had several relationships during the five years. The first was a man she met while travelling in Australia. The two of them bonded over their travel plans. While this relationship lasted several months, it was never serious. The two parted ways while in Seoul, South Korea. While things didn't end on a bad note, the pair acknowledged that the relationship wasn't a great one. From there, Veronica headed to Europe, where she met the woman she would date for five months. Veronica had begun to fall hard for her when she was broken up with in Prague.

While living in Dublin, Veronica had a year long relationship with Niall O'Brien, someone she met through her colleague and close friend, Niamh. She broke up with Niall two months before her return to Los Santos, after realizing that he would never accept her as she was, nor would he accept that there would always be a part of her that loves Harvey.

Relationships[]

Alessandra Casey di Lorenzo†
Alessandra Casey di Lorenzo (who commonly goes by Casey) is Veronica's ex-wife from before she moved to the city. Casey met Veronica when Veronica transferred to the same school in 7th grade after the Girl Scout incident.

Casey saw opportunity with Veronica, who had no idea who the di Lorenzo family were. From a young age, Casey knew how to manipulate people to get what she wanted. Her father approved of Casey's crush and obession with Veronica.

On December 10th, 2022 Veronica learned that Casey was transferred to Bolingbroke. She learned this after her close friend, Franklin Lee, was placed on a 5150 hold at the prison, due to the fire at Parsons.

Following the collapse and subsequent closure of the Los Santos borders, Veronica no longer knews of Casey's whereabouts. On May 13th, 2024, Casey made it known to Veronica that she was back in town.

In October 2024, Casey made her prescence known once more via posts on Twatter. In late October 2024, Casey contacted Mason Calaway's estranged best friend, Fenyx Fahey. She later called Mason. A few days later, Veronica called Casey. Casey expressed her desire to ruin Veronica's life in that phone call.

Harvey Holden†
Veronica met Harvey five years prior to the borders of Los Santos re-opening while working as EMS. The two married in April of that year. Harvey was killed in the line of duty by Leo Escobar two months prior to the total collapse of the state.
Mason Calaway
In January of 2024, Veronica met Mason Calaway after he called her asking if she could bring him bandages. Veronica agreed, as she was in the middle of a conversation she needed an excuse to get out of. She and Mason continued to talk after and shortly after began sleeping together. Veronica was content with the arrangement, which remained casual and non-exclusive for some time.

At the end of January, Veronica was convinced that Mason was never going to speak to her again, after a confrontation between him and ADMC at Chumash Pier. Veronica went on to have a talk with Lane, in which she explained that it had been a long time since she had to consider what she was saying and who she was saying it to. This incident was the first time Veronica realized that she didn't want to lose Mason in her life, in spite of her insisting to friends that it was just casual. Several days after she and Lane spoke, she met up with Mason and had a talk about what happened.

Throughout February, the two insisted they weren't dating and they were just friends who slept together. Mason began to spend nights at Veronica's apartment more often than not. He would often show up injured, with Veronica tending to his injuries, no questions asked. By the end of February, Mason and Veronica agreed to stop pretending that they weren't together and made their relationship official.

In May, Mason approached Veronica about potentially becoming his Old Lady. Over the following days, Veronica had conversations with each member of the Raiders MC, starting with Lane. On June 7th, Veronica formally asked Lane for permission to address the club at chapter and was voted in as the first Old Lady of the Raiders MC. On June 13th, Veronica was blooded in as the first Old Lady of the Raiders MC

On September 16th, Mason and Veronica had a talk about marriage and where they stood on it. Veronica left the conversation believing it to be a topic they would revisit upon her return from visiting the Bundys in Washington. The next day, September 17th, Mason proposed to her on the beach at sunrise in Paleto.

On October 18th, Veronica and Mason headed to Colorado with Wade and Lane. Mason and Veronica married in a private ceremony. Veronica chose to change her name upon marrying Mason, changing it from Veronica Westfield to Veronica Calaway.

With Mason's sister Alice and Veronica's adoptive sister Reina present on April 22nd, 2025 Veronica and Mason met with Beric Johnson at the Chumash Pier to have their marriage recognized legally in the State of San Andreas. Veronica had her name formally changed to Calaway in the MDT (though it reads Westfield-Calaway in the MDT for search purposes).

In June of 2025, it was revealed that Mason shared a kiss with Faraday Murphy. Veronica and Mason agreed to work on their marriage. By September of 2025, Faraday moved back to Washington with Veronica's half-brother, Lincoln Page and went Nomad.

In the early morning hours of October 17th, 2025, one day before their one year wedding anniversary, Mason approached Veronica about divorce. Veronica proposed a separation instead, pushing the point that if they were to divorce there is no taking that back. Eventually, Mason agreed to a separation, with an agreement to reconvene at the end of November to decide if reconciliation was a possibility. Veronica left the next day to stay with her adoptive family in Washington for the weekend.

On November 13th, 2025 the divorce between the Calaways was finalized. On November 24th, 2025 Mason fled San Andreas to avoid being blooded out of the club. Mason left Veronica his Gauntlet classic as well as their shared compass rose patch, telling her he knows where home is after a tearful Veronica asked how he'd find his way home.

Easton Staymates
When Easton and Veronica parted ways five years ago, Veronica was convinced she would never see him again. She hadn't heard from him in that time and had no idea if he was even alive. She made multiple trips to Vice City over the years trying to find him, with no luck. When Easton called her on December 27th, 2023 Veronica was thrown for a loop of emotions, ranging from relief, sadness, and happiness. The first thing she heard him say after five years was "What's going on kid?". She promptly informed him that she had something going on with Tanner Phillips. Easton hung up, calling Tanner and calling him a rat fuck. Veronica realized she had fucked up after Easton hung up.

Veronica still held on to strong feelings for Easton. A classic case of star crossed lovers, right person, wrong time. However, shortly after she and Mason made things official, she and Easton had a major falling out due to the perception of Veronica choosing a side, specifically choosing Mason, after Mason and Easton came into conflict down in the sewers after Easton continued to try to get Veronica to tell Kiki right then and there what she had done to Charlotte.

Tanner Phillips†
Veronica's feelings for Tanner are complicated, especially considering how the two started seeing each other in more than a just friends kind of light. Add in Easton resurfacing, though still in Vice City, just as they're trying to define their relationship, Veronica finds herself in a situation she never expected.

On January 1st, Veronica made the decision to break off whatever situationship they were in after a disasterous New Year's Eve.

Keith Averal
Keith Averal is Veronica's biological father. Prior to Veronica moving to Los Santos, Keith entered into witness protection alongside his daughter in the wake of her being outed at the criminal informant who began the start of the downfall of the di Lorenzo empire back in New Jersey.

At some point in early 2022, Keith Averal was presumed killed by the di Lorenzo family. However, in July of 2022, Veronica encountered him while being held by the di Lorenzo family ahead of Casey's trial. Her father was the one who saved her. His whereabouts are currently unknown and Veronica could not care any less than she already does.

Agatha Vetrano†
Agatha Rose Vetrano was Veronica's biological mother. Agatha died three months after Veronica was born. Veronica has no knowledge of the circumstances around her mother's death, but has always carried guilt over it after overhearing conversations as a child.

Veronica's mother died of an overdose after becoming addicted to painkillers following Veronica's birth. The conversations Veronica heard snippets of as a child centered around ensuring that she never felt like it was her fault her mother died. Unfortunately, Veronica never heard the right parts of the conversation and internalized the bits and pieces she did hear.

Jacob Averal†
Jacob was like a brother to Veronica and a son to her father. He was born in December 1993. The month of November is difficult for Veronica because of the lead up to his birthday.

In June of 2012, Veronica and Jacob went to a party. Veronica drove under the influence, striking another car at a speed in excess of 100 MPH. The accident killed both Jacob and the other driver, a Genevieve Everett.

In the wake of the accident, Veronica was charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter along with driving under the influence. Thanks to the money and influence of her now ex-wife's family, Veronica was able to escape being charged and the blame was placed on the other driver.

Veronica carries an incredible amount of guilt from Jacob's death. She still has nightmares about it from time to time. Because of this incident, Veronica has a strong opposition to driving under the influence and has been known to get upset when she finds out people she cares about have done it.

Jacob had wanted to be a paramedic in New York. This is one reason Veronica wanted to become part of the EMS in Los Santos. However, it is also part of the reason Veronica was adverse to promotions and getting certifications. She felt guilty that she can have the career Jacob wanted.

Luna Park
Birdie Nash

Tommy Melarky
Veronica met Tommy six years prior to Los Santos' borders reopening, while working for the Los Santos EMS. The two came to consider each other siblings throughout that time.
Kiki Pendragon
Veronica and Kiki met back in the farmer's market days before the economy collapsed. They both were hired by EMS around the same time. When Veronica became more active within the department, she and Kiki grew closer. Eventually, both became part of the Bundy family. Veronica considers Kiki to be one of her closest friends.
Elizabeth Byrne
While Lizzie was part of the "Bundy Bunch" prior to the economy collapsing, Veronica did not have much contact with her. After returning to Los Santos, Veronica slowly began to interact with Lizzie. In July of 2024, Veronica and Kiki both asked Lizzie if she still considered herself part of the Bundy family and if she considered them sisters.
Joshua Berretta

Franklin "Happy" Lee
Veronica met Happy several months after she moved to the city, two years before the state collapsed. They did not become closer until some time later. After returning to Los Santos, Veronica still considers Happy one of her closest friends.
Logan Greenheart†
Logan was one of Veronica's close friends. They died during the year prior to the borders of Los Santos reopening. During that five year span, Veronica did her best to check up on them. When she moved to Ireland, she maintained a spare bedroom, decked out in yellow, just in case she was able to convince Logan to come stay, even for a short time. When she was informed of Logan's death by Charlotte Spade, Veronica collapsed on the floor of the break room at her work.
Jon Castle
Veronica met Castle through EMS a year before the state collapsed. The two slowly became closer friends and since returning to Los Santos have been catching up with one another.
'

Dust Slate†
Veronica met Dust through EMS. Over the months since Veronica left EMS, she and Dust occasionally hangout and frequently text one another.

During the weekend of November 2nd, Veronica and LSPD Officer Charlotte Spade both recieved texts from Dust's phone, simply stating the word "Help". On November 5th, 2024 Veronica reported Dust missing to BSCO Cadet Bob Stirwin, Deputy Callista Bell, and Officer Anastasia Pierce. Veronica attempted to call Dust twice, but was hung up on, the first time being told "They'll hear". Bob Stirwin was able to get through, but could not discern whether or not the person on the other end of the line had an accent, after Veronica expressed concern over the possibility that it was not Dust that had the phone.

A short time later, while with Lane, Wade, Mike, and Rylee behind the Chumash clothing store, Veronica had the realization that the texts she recieved did not match Dust's typical texting pattern. She alerted Pierce to this. Later that evening, doctor Duke Ramsey handed Veronica Dust's ID card, which he had found the previous night in the driveway of the Yellow House.

Veronica blames herself for the death of Dust Slate at the hands of Casey di Lorenzo.

'

Benny Razer
Veronica first met Benny through Charlotte Spade before the economic collapse. Upon returning to Los Santos, Veronica and Benny reconnected. Veronica counts him among her close friends. However, in the wake of ADMC confronting Mason Calaway, Veronica became more guarded in some regards when it comes to her relationship with Benny.

On February 18th, she informed Benny that she would be resigning from EMS.

Following the Raiders/ADMC conflict, Veronica has not been in contact with Benny aside from running into him once at the tow yard. She expressed concern over his wellbeing to Charlotte Spade and Ivy Grayson following the return of December Daniels to Los Santos.

Finley Milton
Prior to the economic collapse, Veronica would occasionally cross paths with Finley through her job as a medic. After the return to Los Santos, Veronica became friends with him after he successfully joined the EMS. While Veronica knew that her was very much so still a criminal, she was willing to give him a chance in the department, hoping it would give some medics a better perspective. Veronica considers Finley among her closest friends outside of the department. However, in the wake of ADMC confronting Mason Calaway, she became more guarded in some regards when it comes to her relationship with Finley.

On February 18th, she informed Finley that she would be resigning from EMS. Finley brought her to Paleto where the two talked about her decision.

Following the Raiders/ADMC conflict, Veronica has not been in contact with Finley.

Charlotte Spade
Veronica met Charlotte a year before the economic collapse, before Charlotte went clean. Whenever the two would hang out before that, it was usually chaos. Some of their adventures included storming the vault to get their paychecks. On March 11th, 2024, Veronica cut all ties with Charlotte after slitting her throat at the Lighthouse. This came just weeks after Veronica lost her temper on the roof of Central Medical Center, beating Charlotte down in a confrontation sparked by the fallout of the LSMC fiasco.

On July 1st, Veronica reached out to Charlotte for the first time in months, unblocking her number to make her aware of December Daniels' return to Los Santos.

On July 29th, 2024, Veronica met up with Charlotte for the first time since the stabbing. They met up at a location of Charlotte's choosing, which ended up being on the trail leading up to where the old Observatory Ranger Tower had been. The two spoke for three hours. The conversation ended amicably.

Johanna Golden
Johanna Golden and Veronica met at the farmers market shortly after Johanna moved to the city. Veronica considered Johanna one of her best friends.

On October 21st, in tense meeting on the Del Perro Pier, Veronica stabbed Johanna in the stomach, saying just before she did something along the lines of "it didn't have to be this way". Despite the suggestion of her husband, Mason, to move Johanna elsewhere, Veronica elected to leave her body there, ensuring Johanna could be found.

Medical History[]

Addison's Disease
On December 26th, 2022, Veronica was diagnosed with Addison's Disease by Dr. Harlow Austin after having another fainting spell.

Veronica continues to struggle with Addison's, but has gotten a handle on it since going through rehab.

C-PTSD
Veronica has suffered from PTSD since before she moved to the city. In December 2023, when she left for rehab in Montana, Veronica began to be properly treated for her PTSD. Since leaving rehab, she has a handle on her triggers and how to handle them. Veronica still experiences the occasional dissociative episodes. She was placed on medication to treat the symptoms of her PTSD, with much reluctance on her part.

On July 4th, 2024, Veronica suffered her first major PTSD episode since returning to Los Santos after attending Hubcap's 4th of July edition of Thirsty Thursday. Veronica headed down to the beach, where she experienced a Sanguine war flashback. She wandered back to Chumash. As a result of this episode, Veronica was off kilter for the rest of the night. After being explicitly asked by Mason to stay on the beach and within eyesight, Veronica wandered off, eventually electing to swim out as far as she could before returning to shore. Mason later called her out for this while the Raiders and friends were hiking up Mt. Chiliad.

Borderline Personality Disorder
Veronica was previously diagnosed with bipolar depression by Alexander Rex in April of 2024. Upon returning from her trip on September 30th, 2024, Veronica's behavior had begun to change and regress to where it had been in the spring. She began lashing out at the smallest of things. Things came to a head for Veronica on October 8th when she ran off without saying a word and proceeded to get drunk. When she was found by Rylee Kenwood and Lincoln Page, Veronica proceeded to run off. After a phone call with Mason, Veronica wandered the city, ending up at the food plaza before making her way up to the hill overlooking the observatory. She and Mason had a talk there, where Veronica admitted to lying to both him and Flynn about what had happened. The next day, Veronica, at Mason's request, spoke with Duke Ramsey.

Veronica had a second talk with Duke the next day. Veronica came clean to Duke about the hallucinations she experienced. Veronica also told Duke about the murder of Victoria Sutherland-Walsh, one of Veronica's closest friends before she moved to Los Santos and the reason Veronica recoils at being called Victoria. A brain scan done by Duke later that night revealed abnormalities in Veronica's brain consistent with Borderline Personality Disorder.

In a conversation on the hillside next to yellow house, Veronica told Mason about the diagnosis. Later that week, on October 16th, Veronica had her first proper session with Dr. Duke Ramsey, as she started to break down from the revelation that Mason's prospect, the newly transferred Faraday Murphy, had developed feelings for him. During the session, Veronica told Duke about her fears and about the conversation she and Mason had had just before. Duke had Veronica think things back through with objectivity, helping to settle her thoughts and spiraling. As the session neared it's end, Veronica recieved a text from Mason's estranged friend, Fenyx Fahey, who had previously admitted feelings for Mason and kissed him. In the texts, Fenyx told Veronica once again to leave Mason. Veronica would later express to Duke that Fenyx had started to scare her with his increasingly unhinged texts and calls to people.

In September of 2025, in a beachside conversation with Mason, Veronica agreed to re-enter therapy. She began speaking with Siren Gray a couple days later. Veronica was in the midst of a spiral, likely triggered by the invitations going out for Faraday and Linc's wedding.

Other Medical Info
On April 21st, 2024 Veronica was formally diagnosed with bipolar depression by her therapist, Alexander Rex. She disclosed her diagnosis to several people, including her boyfriend Mason Calaway, her sister Kiki Pendragon, and several close friends.

Beginning in May of 2024 after the city council shooting, Veronica backslid into a full relapse after her sister Kiki went into the ICU following a gunshot to the head. Over the following weeks, Veronica began to find moments to sneak off and drink. Her lapse in sobriety worsened throughout June. Eventually, Wally West would end up watching over a sobering up Veronica. Several times over the course of June and July, Veronica broke her personal rule about never driving after having even just a single sip of alcohol, most notably, driving Rue Day's car back to the Morningwood Garage because she didn't want to have to explain to Rue why she couldn't drive the car.

Veronica's increasing self-isolation and refusal to let anyone in brought her into conflict with her partner, Mason Calaway. Veronica had also recieved a concerning anonymous call that led to the club not wanting her to be off on her own. On July 8th, Veronica set her two flasks down on the floor of the clubhouse in front of Rue Day, Wally West, and Georgia Priestly, asking one of them to take the alcohol. During a money run shortly after, Veronica opened up to Wally a bit more about what had been going on with her.

Scars
* A faded brand on her left shoulder from her time with the di Lorenzo family. She began the process of having the scar removed in 2020 before leaving the family, but never completed it. Her tattoo covers it
  • The word "traitor" carved into her chest above her heart. This came from an ill-fated and ill-advised trip she took to try to close a chapter of her past. This scar is her most faded after being treated by Balto. It's partially covered by her anchor tattoo.
  • Multiple facial scars from her encounter with her past while on a trip out of town. She had an existing scar over her eye from her encounter with the Terror last summer.
  • A scythe on her abdomen that appears to have been crudely carved. Carved by a serial killer 6 years prior to the border reopening
  • Jagged scar where her left kidney is, caused by Fate/Dee Asmo attacking her five years prior
  • Tally marks across each forearm, carved by a serial killer 6 years prior to the borders reopening
  • T on her back, seemingly crudely carved. Done by a serial killer 6 years prior.
  • Other random scars scattering her body from a variety of incidents

Employment History[]

EMS

Veronica began with EMS in January 2022.

On February 15th, 2024 Veronica met with Charlotte Spade to discuss her role as Command and an FTI alongside Misa Price. While the conversation went well, it took a turn toward the end, after Misa left on a call. Veronica ended up beating down Charlotte on the roof of Central Medical Center in a fit of rage. As a result, Veronica recieved a five day suspension, five strike points, and a recommendation to see a therapist.

On February 18th, 2024 Veroncia made the decision to resign from EMS as soon as Kiki returned to town on the 20th. She told several people about her decision, including Mason Calaway, Benny Razer, Finley Milton, and Franklin "Happy" Lee.

On February 20th, 2024, Veronica handed in her resignation to Kiki Pendragon atop the fire tower at the El Burro Heights firestation, the former headquarters for the EMS before the economic collapse. El Burro firestation was the location where Kiki and Veronica were named Chief and Deputy Chief by then Commissioner Sam Baas in the presence of Veronica's late husband, Harvey Holden.
