The Unified Police Department is the executive branch of Los Santos, which operates to ensure that the law is upheld and enforced. It is made up of the Los Santos Police Department, Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office, Senora Desert Sheriff's Office, San Andreas State Police, and the San Andreas State Park Rangers, in addition to their various departments.

Chain of Command

The Sheriffs, Chief of Police, and the Trooper Chiefs are all High High Command (HHC).

The Undersheriffs, Assistant Chief, Assistant Sheriff, Captains are all High Command (HC).

Lieutenants and Sergeants are all Command Members.

  • Lieutenants include Division Leads and Commanding Officers
  • Sergeants are Shift Supervisors
  • Corporals act as the bridge between Command and Regular Patrol

Corporals, Senior Police Officers and Police Officers are fully-hired members of Patrol.

The rank of Trooper is officially equal to Corporal, but the exact power that Troopers hold is a blurred line. It is understood that they only answer to HHC, but cooperate with HC. Across departments they hold the honor as Officers superior to that of Lieutenant. Other ranks are equal to its counterparts in the other departments.
