True Blue Scrap, owned by TJ Walker, was a scrapping business designed to scrap vinned vehicles that have been seized by the police.
The Beginnings[]
In April 2022, TJ approached then-Chief of Police Sam Baas and Brian Knight to discuss a business idea he had to scrap vinned vehicles for parts. Instead of having seized vehicles crushed by the state, he proposed paying per vehicle to have them legally handed over and scrapped for parts instead. Those parts could then be used to repair and upgrade other vehicles, such as with the Overboost Drift School.
True Blue Scrap was approved on June 6th, 2022 by the mayor. Baas and Knight liked the idea but were distrustful of Walker, given his past history with them as an ex-cop and an MC member. The business failed to gain traction within the PD due to issue of working with known criminals.
For about nine months, True Blue Scrap was used as a front for the Bondi Boys MC as their club bank account. It was emptied in February 2023 by former-member Irwin Dundee, who stole $2.1 million from the club after paying himself through the business. It was then used as the Billy's legal storage in the Billy.
RICO[]
All of the BBMC's businesses were confiscated by the Federal Investigation Bureau six months following a RICO warrant being delivered to them at the Billy on the 13th of December 2023.
