General Description[]
Tidus Schwinghammer is an Appointed Judge for the Department of Justice.
Overview[]
Father is a very famous Canadian hockey player/ business man
A defining moment for Tidus was when he was 16 he was involved in a drink driving accident with a group of friends. Tidus wasn’t harmed but his friends suffered injuries in the accident.
The accident was in the local and national news (due to his Fathers high profile). The negative press put a stain on the Schwinghammer name which negatively impacted his Fathers business. This subsequently led to a strain on Tidus and his fathers relationship.
Due to this public incident Tidus has anxiety about having anything recorded on his criminal record. However in turn this led to his greater respect for the law and led him down his current path within the DoJ.
Tidus is generally quite a cautious individual beyond avoiding any criminal activities in his personal life he also tries to refrain from volatile areas in the city such as the casino and Barrio.
He has a determined focus towards reclaiming his family name and the prestige that came with it. Due to this he pushes himself to excel in his work advancing his career from Attorney to Senior attorney and now to Judge. However he is continuing to look for avenues to not only advance his own career but also is endeavouring to improve the judicial system in Los Santos to better serve the community.
Early Years in Los Santos[]
Tidus first visited Los Santos when he played for a minor league hockey team at Maze Bank Arena. However during the game he took a hard hit while pushing for a last minute goal and blew out his knee. Although after much physical therapy he was able to walk without issue; Doctors confirmed that he would be unable to continue to pursue a career playing hockey. This injury does not effect his day to day however he is unable to run long distances. (It is also rumoured that the injury will flare up before it snows however this may just be because he’s Canadian)
Due to this sudden change in career path Tidus did try to follow in his fathers footsteps in business back in Canada however to little success. It was after this that he decided to move to Los Santos to make his own way and build himself back up after what felt like repeated failures.
After an initial struggle to find work in the city he had to resort to selling watches at the pawn shop. This felt like a low point as the residents generally looked down on him and referred to him and cohorts as vultures picking on the scraps of those less fortunate. During this time he was able to associate with a good cross section of the city including members of the Purple Gang as well as KJ (current member of the Vagos).
Eventually he was able to get a legitimate job working for Speedy Insurance. This was a new start up within the city which Tidus tried to help get off the ground.
He then decided to pursue a career in law and obtained a bar license. One of his primary roles as a Lawyer in the city was helping put together business proposals and offering guidance to help businesses get off the ground. This was something he was particularly interested in after his own experiences trying to help get Speedy Insurances off the ground.
Recent Events[]
Tidus recently lost his position as a Judge following the senate appeal of The People vs Wayne Biggz; which Tidus previously ruled on. Tidus was not contacted following the Senate overturning his verdict but his name was removed from the Judicial ballot for reelection. He was made aware of the ballot change when someone asked him why they were no longer able to vote for him. Following this news without any recourse to find out why this had happened Tidus went on a drunken bender across the city. However he has little to no recollection of what happened over this drunken weekend and has since endeavoured to abstain from drinking.
Since the unfortunate end to Tidus’ judicial career he has refrained from practicing Law despite him still maintaining an active Los Santos Bar license. His close friends Anna Swallows and James Haze have helped Tidus build up his confidence once again. With their support he has since started doing independent legal consultancy for citizens of Los Santos.
He can regularly be found supporting James Haze with his farming endeavours for the uWu Cafe and together they have been able to grow high quality crops for the restaurant.
Tidus has recently gone back to practicing Law after pressure from his friends and former colleagues, most notably he has recently worked on the defence for The People v Kyle Pred.
