Anchorage was born on November 4, 1998 in Uptown Liberty City. His parents were Mathew Anchorage, the CEO of a technology enterprise and Melissa Parker-Anchorage, a news anchor. His father Scottish and mother American. During his early teens, he witnessed several crimes ranging from robberies to murder - including his own mother, who was robbed and shot in his early teens. Since then, he has dedicated his life to investigating.
After the death of his mother, he spent all of his free time investigating the murder of his mother - the police department was complacent and unhelpful, essentially allowing the case to go cold. It took Thomas years, but just a few years prior to leaving Liberty City, he tracked down the killer, who was a man by the name of Douglas Gauld, a Caporegime for the Pezzulo Crime Family, a hit that was ordered due to a distant relative failing to pay back a loan. The police were paid off, and Gauld got away scot-free...but Thomas made sure justice was served.
Not long after finishing his investigation, he set out on his own, never one to take any handouts, he earned every penny himself until he could afford to move to Los Santos, a city filled with criminals, violence, serial killers and opportunities.
Biography[]
Thomas Anchorage (Normady) was a PI born in Liberty City. His life in Los Santos started with him doing freelance news work with Weazel News. However, at night, he turned into the vigilante, The Purple Punisher, fighting all the "criminal scum" he could find.
Although eventually, The Purple Punisher quickly became retired as Thomas decided he wanted to focus more on the Private Investigation side of things that he was used to. To add, he started becoming involved with LSBN and often was helping Ron Otterman with news stories across Los Santos. After several failed attempts to win Ron over and get a position in LSBN, Thomas began shifting his focus elsewhere.
Normady then went on to found LSPI (Los Santos Private Investigations) with Roman Shacks, he worked on gaining his business licenses to start LSPI as a business officially. In the meantime, he freelanced being a PI and conducted his business on a stall at the Farmer's Market in Paleto or at Dean World. He eventually got his business license in April 2021, and LSPI became official.
Thomas worked as a partner of LSPI, picking up cases when they become available, and he also previously worked as a Cadet at the Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office, however resigned when he deemed that it wasn't the job for him. Thomas then primarily focused on LSPI, however he occasionally put a shift in at Burger Shot.
Thomas was also heavily associated with Royal Mafia, starting off as their oil guy with the pumps at Ron Oil before taking ownership of their warehouse, Sidwig Crawshank often referred to Thomas as his "clean guy".
Death[]
After negotiating a plea agreement for drug trafficking, Thomas got in a police chase and died from a car accident on March 6, 2023.
Personality[]
Personality
Thomas Anchorage, under the name Thomas Normady, usually did his best to be kind to strangers and is usually cheerful, and willing to help where he can. He was also very careless with his money, whenever he found someone "in need", he gave them money - this included sending Steven Hayes $1000 every day as a "prank". He also gave money to people he's gotten into car crashes with, and tended to tip everyone who served him in customer service, Thomas didn't like to hold onto his money and preferred that people who need it more got this money.
Thomas was often described as a hot-headed dickhead by those around him despite his good intentions, but he loved and protected his friends and those he loved with everything he had. He repeatedly risked his life for others and put himself in situations that most people wouldn't. He often came off as arrogant and liked to make himself seem more important than he actually was - he also found that he was excellent at talking his way out of most bad situations but sometimes not good enough.
LSPI (Los Santos Private Investigations)[]
LSPI
In 2021, Thomas decided to focus on pursuing a career as a Private Investigator (PI) and focus less on reporting the news. He worked on gaining his business license so he could become an official PI. In the meantime, he freelanced as a PI, gaining as many cases as he could. As soon as he got his business license, he started his business, Los Santos Private Investigations (LSPI), and slowly became the Los Santos' most trusted PI firm. LSPI's roster shifts and changes constantly, with most of the best investigators being off-the-books, and the firm has proven itself by solving multiple cases.
Character Arcs[]
The LSBN Arc
Thomas started his news career in Los Santos, at Weasel News, as an intern. He slowly started to make friends with those at Weasel News, Including Ron Otterman. At this point, Otterman was slowly beginning to create his own news company, LSBN. Thomas started to do things for Otterman. The main highlight was dressing up as spiderman and taking pictures for Ron, as that was what Ron really wanted. Thomas was working as Louie Panlin's intern before he was fired by Dillon Dubbs on 16/07/21.
The Ursula Arc
Thomas and Ursula met while working together at Weasel News and then later on LSBN. Thomas has always admired Ursula and her dry, deadpan delivery of everything she says. After Ursula's Brain Injury, he realized just how much he cared for her. They started to develop a 'relationship' of some sort. Ursula, at the time, was in an open relationship, and Thomas kind of just slotted into that relationship, becoming very close with Ursula. However, Ursula and Thomas had a conversation, and Ursula ended their agreement. This has caused Thomas to go off the rails; he took a week trip back to Liberty City and came back a raging alcoholic. Thomas used to be Ursula's intern at LSBN.
From the day he met Ursula, Thomas felt a click, and it didn’t take long before he fell head over heels for her. The first woman he truly loved in a romantic way, but it wasn’t in the cards back then, as the two of them wanted very different things and both of them were unable to commit. Thomas and Ursula have never really seemed to stop loving each other, and the two of them always find a way to re-connect in a romantic or sexual way. Who knows what their future holds?
A very odd pairing, one could argue there was more lust between them than romantic feelings - that is if Purrtricia hadn’t said the words “I love you” to Thomas. Afraid of commitment and heartbreak, Thomas broke things off with Purrtricia before he could truly hurt her as he felt as though he couldn’t give her what she was looking for. In a different time, maybe he would’ve shared those feelings for her, but that’s all speculation.
Clara was someone Thomas will always call a missed opportunity and bad timing - the two of them confessed love for each other, discussed buying a house together, getting married and spending their lives with each other. Sadly, Clara felt some hesitation and broke things off before anything could truly come of it. They tried the relationship thing two times, neither of which worked out for different reasons - it could’ve been his life-long relationship had things played out differently, and that has always stuck with him ever since.
Thomas and Misty began dating shortly before her passing, he didn’t have the chance to truly develop strong feelings for her, but he still misses her every day.

If you asked Thomas how he and Steven became friends, that’s a question he wouldn’t really be able to answer as he isn’t quite sure himself. It began with him repeatedly sending Steven $1000 as a joke, but eventually turned into a full fledged friendship. Steven is one of the few people Thomas would take a bullet for.
Both Richie and Thomas were founding members of Los Santos Private Investigations as they both shared a similar interest in investigative work alongside the third partner. Thomas and Richie have had a lot of conflict and strain over the years, but they always do come to compromises and agree to disagree. The two have different perspectives on life and morals, but that’s what makes them such good friends.
Garry was one of the first people Thomas met in the city, the two are great friends, and have been through a lot together. They work at Burger Shot, do crime together, and just often hang out together to do standard friend things. Thomas and Garry heavily support each other in their goals, are there when the other needs someone to talk to, and are very much “ride or die” for each other.

Not long before she was blooded out of RUST and dealing with a lot of memory problems, Thomas had reached out to her with a job offer with LSPI - the two of them linked after her blooding out and had a long talk together. She joined the firm in an off-the-books capacity briefly before she settled on focusing her goals on becoming a cop. She decorated LSPI’s firm free of charge, but Thomas still paid her in the end regardless due to the amazing job she did. She’s one of the people Thomas feels comfortable reaching out to about just about anything.
Cuddles is an interesting individual that Thomas almost immediately took a liking to upon meeting her - she feels like someone Thomas can trust, and has already grown close to. On one of their first hangouts, the two of them kidnapped Nefeli Papaioannou and pretended they were going to kill him in exchange for car repair money. Ever since then, Thomas knew that he could trust Cuddles enough to get close to her, and the two spend time together several times a week.
Thomas has worked for Shelly at Burger Shot for a long time, but in recent times, Thomas has confessed to having a “thing” for Shelly. Since then, the two have gotten up to fun adventures such as burning down Sam Baas’ house, attempting to murder Carmella Corset, and kidnapping then stabbing Doctor Dahlia Fey together to send a message. While Shelly has been in hiding for her accused terrorism, Thomas has brought her food and spent a lot of time with her, even going as far as to buy her a custom made bouquet of burgers.
Originally, Thomas took Sooty on a date and the two didn’t really click - but Thomas supported her getting together with his friend Garry. Since then, the two have built on their own friendship, and while there has been a ton of strain, mistakes on Thomas’ part and breaches of trust - Thomas and Sooty have never really grown apart, the two are very much great friends and would do a lot together.

It all started with a drunken one night stand a while after Rory’s break-up with Steven Hayes - the two got into a casual relationship of sorts, never really became official but spent a lot of nights of passion together. After a few bad events in Thomas’ life, he had to fly back to Liberty City for a few months. During that time, Rory moved on and got into a relationship with Santiago Madrid - upon Thomas’ return to the city, the two started to get back on talking terms. A few days before Rory’s unexpected death, Thomas came to the realisation he was still in love with her, and was unable to tell her before she died, something that’s stuck with him ever since.
Chelsea is very anti-violence but relates to Thomas on his addiction problems - the two bonded quite a bit before her surgery and ended up sleeping together several times. It’s unsure where they stand now since Thomas went off into the deep end - but the two of them still share long and positive conversations every now and then.
Sidwig and Thomas met back when Ron Oil first opened up shop, that’s when he became the Royal Mafia “clean guy” with the oil pumps. This then eventually developed into other things such as becoming the Royal Mafia warehouse owner - Thomas appreciates everything Sidwig and Royal Mafia have done for him, and feels a sense of loyalty for them, especially since becoming a full member of the gang.
Thomas met Idol at Burger Shot, where they discussed relationships and sex - which eventually lead to the two of them discussing said things with each other. The two of them have a very intimate bond, but don’t know each other extremely well on a personal level. Despite this, Thomas still feels as though he can be open with her about his life and thoughts.
Thomas met Beatrice when he one day randomly twatted out “witches are cool”, which lead to the two having talks. It wasn’t long before Thomas admitted to liking Beatrice and having a thing for her, which then lead to the two spending a lot of time together. However, when the end of the world felt like it was coming, with explosions, aliens, loud sounds and many casualties - Thomas and Beatrice ended up in bed together. They slept together once more the following day, but it was after this that Beatrice felt that things moved too fast, the two agreed to stop seeing each other in that way for a bit so they could get to know each other as people. Thomas still cares for her, and would still love to get close enough with her to get into a relationship with her, but the two have agreed to take things slow as friends first before discussing it again.
Ron is someone Thomas looks up to and took a lot of inspiration from when getting into the news during his early days in Los Santos. Sadly, Ron seems to have left the city, but it doesn’t diminish the respect Thomas has for him.
While Thomas and Shirley aren’t close themselves - Thomas’ closeness with Steven Hayes means that he cares for Shirley just as much, he sees the two of them as one, and can’t imagine one without the other. The two of them get along just fine.
Thomas and Lotte met during his time in Parosns where she helped him through his cocaine withdrawal treatment. The two had a lot of chemistry and reconnected once he left Parsons - it didn't take long before they began sleeping together on a casual basis, which is where their "relationship" stands right now.
Not as close as they once were due to Felix rarely being around in the city - but Felix helped Thomas through a lot of his rough times after his break-up with Ursula. The two of them have a great friendship whenever they’re both around.
Thomas met Cara in her first couple of days in the city, the two of them almost became romantically involved but his love for Ursula got in the way of that and prevented it from going anywhere. He brought her into LSPI as an investigator - the two have never really regained the closeness they had early on in their friendship, but have also never fallen out or grown apart.
For over a year, Thomas and Jessie were friends, became very close and even became friends with benefits - the two also discussed potentially trying out a real relationship thing when they were both ready to - but this all fell apart pretty fast when Jessie James sent a text to Odessa Glafx to tell her that Thomas was high on cocaine. This lead to him being handcuffed, searched and questioned - due to him being high on cocaine, he let it slip that he had a lot more in his house. This eventually lead to his properties being raided, his warehouse being seized and massive charges being filed against him - since then, Thomas has vowed to kill Jessie James for being a “snitch”.
Thomas considered Odessa a friend for a long while, also rooted for her success in the UPD - but due to the fact she arrested him and pushed for huge charges against him, Thomas considers her an enemy.
Brett Maxwell was one considered Thomas’ arch nemesis, his antagonist, ever since the day that he and Rick Locke kidnapped Thomas and carved a smiley face into his back. Ever since then, Thomas and Brett have antagonised each other constantly, a lot of which has been in jest but some of which has been a risk of being fatal - such as when Brett shot Thomas several times while high on metamorphine. These two will never really like each other, but their hatred for each other hasn’t been as big of an issue in recent times.
Kenneth Jesperson is the leader of the group known as “The Smiley’s” - which one could perceive as a group of serial killers brainwashed by Ken. Thomas and Kenneth have never truly spoke to each other in a negative way, but the two have brought up the idea of killing the other on numerous occasions. However, things may be turning around as they seem to have a common ground with their violent mindsets now.
Bubbles was once someone that Thomas could consider a trusted friend, they looked out for each other - Thomas was also one of two people who actually understood why Bubbles left Royal Mafia and was also the one who told Bubbles about his son’s death out of respect for his friend. Unfortunately, Bubbles destroyed that trust when he handcuffed Thomas and shot him in the back of the head three times before leaving him in the ocean. Thomas stabbed Bubbles in retaliation as an official “blooding out” of Royal Mafia, leaving him face-down in a grave for dead.
Perhaps more of a “frenemy”, Thomas likes to mess with Carmine any chance he gets, but has also been seen showing him some respect on occasion. Carmine seems to share a mutual respect for Thomas as he hired him for some P.I. work.
Norman Bones has went on record to say that he’ll kill Thomas if he finds out Thomas lied to him (which he arguably did). Along with this, Norman being the (un)-living embodiment of death means that Thomas faces his biggest fear anytime he looks at him.
Brian threatened to kill Thomas. However, during Thomas’ time in the UPD, Brian was one of his FTO’s and taught him all about SWAT tactics and despite his apparently corruption, Thomas does show some respect for him as a cop.

Lots of distance came between Thomas and Cas during her relationship with Zeak, who was very aggressive and open about his dislike for Thomas - at one point assaulting him to the point he was hospitalised and filing a lawsuit, which he brought Cas into. This caused a lot of strain and the two have never really recovered since.
Doyle was a serial killer by the name of “The Hound” who Thomas assisted with information, tools and an alibi to help her get away with the things she was doing. His hatred for serial killers drove him to assisting one in getting rid of them - however, the entire time she was just using him and didn’t really care for him at all. Eventually she was of course caught by the SCU and shipped back to England to be charged for her crimes.
Thomas and Kieran used to be friends with benefits - eventually, Kieran gave his life to Norman Bones and went to purgatory in exchange for Thomas’ protection. Since coming back from purgatory, Thomas has shown he has zero trust for Kieran and believes he may be a “sleeper agent” for Norman due to the fact Kieran has no idea how he’s back and Norman was very vague about the reasoning for his return.

Trivia[]
Thomas once had two persistent black eyes, in his own words "Every time they start to heal, I get punched again.", this is why he is often found wearing sunglasses regardless of the weather. Although after his three-month trip back to Liberty City, these finally healed up.
Is rarely found without a bulletproof vest due to how dangerous Los Santos can be.
Thomas has an ongoing investigation into Purple Punisher despite the fact that it's himself, also claims to hate him and sometimes berates the idea of vigilantes.
