Tequi-la-la is a bar-venue, located at the intersection of Eclipse Boulevard and Milton Road in West Vinewood, Los Santos. Ownership was previously shared four ways between Shadow, Gerard Hawthorne, Ezreal Kay-Hoss and Petunia Brookshire. After a period of inactivity following management shifts, the four decided to sell it to Damien Tinkerman for three million dollars. Damien then sold it to the Mayhem for eight million dollars. Primary ownership was then sold to Sebastian Ableton for six million dollar.

Description[]

Tequi-la-la took on the role of a city-owned venue following the economic collapse that came at the beginning of 2021. For months there were multiple proposals to at-the-time Mayor, Andi Jones, though none of these would come to light. During the summer, a group of goths going by the identity of The Crypts would find interest in making the venue an open hangout to any who should want in the city. Efforts headed by Shadow, Lilith Ailhart and Katya Molotov would be made to get a business proposal submitted to at-the-time Mayor, Denzel Williams, and with Andi Jones in support of the idea, the proposal would be accepted. Ownership at this point would be shared between Shadow and Gerard "Dewey" Hawthorne, with the remaining Crypts becoming management and Petunia Brookshire being appointed CEO. In the following months, Shadow would focus on hosting events at the location, bringing in artists such as Orpheus Dawson and Tee Veeman to help with getting the place some traction to grow. During this period of time, the other Crypts would either take some time away from the city, or focus on other endeavors.

Ending 2021 and entering into 2022, Shadow would gain the assistance of Quimbley "Q" Hayabusa and Ezreal "Ez" Kay-Hoss in attempting to get the location more notoriety in the city. Following a bit of construction, the three would work together to spread the word that the location was open to hosting events, as well as begin setting up business partnerships throughout the city.

Ultimately after some thought, Shadow would decide himself to take some time away from the city and would split his ownership with Ezreal, with Dewey later deciding to split his ownership with now former CEO, Petunia. It would be agreed to appoint Q as the new CEO, Reina Vergara and Nancy Flutterbottom would be brought in as Head Management, and Tanner Johnson would be appointed the new Head of Security. Under this new wave of leadership, Tequi-la-la has found itself to be thriving with events. Every Thursday Tequi-la-la now hosts "Thrashing Thursdays with Hubcap Jones" thanks to Shadow, and other events are often organized by Q and Reina in partnership with other businesses throughout the city.

History[]

According to the Vinewood Star Tours, Tequi-la-la used to be a restaurant owned by the mob, but it was closed after the "Adam's apple in the soup" incident of 1982. The bar was reopened in 1983 and became the Mecca of bands and fans of hair metal of the entire country. Its name appears to be a portmanteau of "tequila", a type of alcoholic beverage, and the French exclamation "oo-la-la".

The bar is comprised of three main areas:

  • Main floor : Features the bar itself at one end with a stage at the other and a small dance floor between the two.
  • Second floor : VIP lounge and technical/DJ area.
  • Basement : Game room with a pool table, QUB3D arcade and darts board.
