Tactical Response Team (TRT) is a unit consisting both LSPD and BCSO, trained to respond to high-risk situations, such as warrant apprehensions, search warrants and violent felonies.
Recruitment[]
To become TRT Operator the following are required:[]
Achieved minimum rank of Officer or Deputy
Demonstrated the ability to lead active shooter scenes
Demonstrated the ability to hunt down and apprehend wanted suspects
Survive a screening phase as a "new recruit"
For a recruit to become an Operator following are required[]
Run 3 warrant apprehensions
Participate consistently in TRT warrant apprehensions
Run 3 targeted enforcement operations
Plain clothes/unmarket for at least 1 warrant apprehension (to understand when to do it)
General Guidelines[]
No nerds
Fitness standards are paramount
Do not speak to the media or civilians about TRT. The intent is to have our existence spread by word of mouth and rumour. Fear and uncertainty are powerful tools. The only people you are to tell the unit name to are apprehended suspects, in limited detail
When not operating as TRT you must continue to do your job as an Officer and respond to patrol calls.
When responding to patrol calls, prioritise calls relevant to your experience unless guided otherwise by command (i.e. firearms, shots fired, violent felonies)
TRT apprehensions and operations are not to be conducted when number of Officers used would significantly impact patrol calls. Patrol takes priority, 12+ Patrol Officers is the lower end estimate before limited TRT operations can commence.

Establishment
TRT Squad Leads can pull units off Patrol to assist in forming "scratch groups" or squads for hunting wanted suspects
TRT Operators can form squads with other TRT members.
TRT Operators may use unmarked vehicles to reconnoitre for intelligence where reasonable. Unmarked must be approved by Patrol Command/TRT Squad Leads
Probationary Officers/Deputies are not to be brought into TRT operations. TRT Squad Leads can make limited exceptions at their discretion for Probationary Officers/Deputies deemed appropriately competent/capable.
Patrol Operations
TRT Operators are not to conduct regular patrol operations while unmarked
TRT are not detective/undercover police. TRT may use discrete tactics to conduct stings on wanted suspects
When operating unmarked and TRT responds to a 10-78, a marked police vest must be worn and masks taken off. Always relay over the radio your description and approach discretion so patrol Officers know your appearance
ANNOUNCE SHIFT SPECIFIC WARRANTS THAT YOU MAY PURSUE AT THE MEETINGS
Apprehension Tracking
TRT Operators are expected to take pride in apprehending wanted suspects
Upon apprehending a wanted suspect, change the report title to reflect that it was a TRT apprehension "Suspect Name | Crime | TRT Apprehension" and tag with the TRT tag
TRT Operators directly involved in the apprehension of a wanted suspect, even if a dedicated operation was not established, (e.g. pursuit from a traffic stop) still considered a TRT apprehension
Apprehensions are to be noted in the TRT Apprehension Master Report
If you do not track your apprehensions appropriately (TRT tag, TRT Apprehension Master Report), you will not be eligible to be paid any bounties
Apprehensions are to be announced over the radio where possible
Apprehensions may be announced during PD Shift Meetings (be aware if any civilians are present)
After an apprehension, ensure the suspect's CID is unflagged and bank tracking is removed
Cooperation with Detective unit
TRT are to work collaboratively with Detectives whenever possible to assist in creating profiles/intelligence on wanted suspects. TRT should request Detectives assistance whenever possible for static surveillance but can also do so independently
Accordingly, Detectives are to work collaboratively with TRT to target particular wanted suspects. We are effectively their "door kickers"
Targeted Enforcement Operations[]
Establishment
TRT Recruits can form Targeted Enforcement squads with other TRT members
TRT Operators may use marked or unmarked vehicles. TRT Operators are not to conduct regular patrol operations while unmarked. Unmarked must be approved by Patrol Command/TRT Squad Leads
Only 1 Targeted Enforcement squad of up to 6 Operators can be active at any given time. Operators do not have to be in the same vehicle. It is advantageous to use multiple (two to three) vehicles as this increases the available Locked Storage space for SWAT equipment
The intent is to augment Patrol, not replace it
Enforcement Operations
Targeted Enforcement should aim to locate and dislodge strongholds of violent criminal activity that are causing issues for Patrol
Targeted Enforcement should not be your everyday patrol operations. Targeted Enforcement should only be activated when your Shift has experienced heightened aggression over short periods of time. Typical situations include,
Static and dynamic holdouts
Gang shootouts with fixed locations
Active shooter situations with 2+ suspects
Only TRT Squad Leads can authorise other TRT Operators to use SWAT labelled police items/equipment
Only use the minimum required equipment for the situation. All equipment is to be stored in Locked Storage
Targeted Enforcement squads should only deploy SWAT labelled police equipment for 10-13A or 10-78 ongoing shots fired calls, or as reasonably expected to occur
