The Small Crimes and Misdemeanors Unit was a division of the Unified Police Department/3.0 which specialized in responding to low-level crimes around the state of San Andreas. The program was established in October 2022.
General Description
The Small Crimes and Misdemeanors Unit, also known as the SCAM Unit, the Small Crimes Unit (SCU) and the Small Response Unit (SRU), was founded by Officers Shelly Smith and Harvey Holden. Looking for more reasons to come on duty, build camaraderie, and respond to normally unanswered calls, Smith and Holden founded this unofficial division after talks with Deputy Chief Jeffrey Bundy, who spoke of the times he founded the Blaine County Police Department.
The unit responded to low-level crimes that are reported, such as brandishing of firearms and jaywalking.
The unit was effectively dissolved following the 2023 PD Restructure on March 6th, 2023.
