Shrugway Sandwiches is a sandwich restaurant owned by Joseph Arrowhead.
The business was opened in November of 2021 in the Andi Jones farmers market and Dean World. Its primary focus was around building the meals as combos so people would have a sandwich that would last them the whole day in a one stop shop.
With the closure of the markets in May of 2022 Shrugway spent several months in limbo until their reopening in June of 2022 at the Horney's building in Mirror Park.
The Markets[]
Shrugway started as a small booth at the public markets as a specialty sandwich shop. Most businesses at the time were focusing on variety with dozens of food items to choose from which can cause indecision or confusion for the customer. Shrugway's strategy was to only have 2 to 3 things on the menu at a time.
- The Shrugway Sandwich - A large 5 bite sandwich with chips and cola
- The Giant Cookie - A cookie that could be shared with 4 people
- The Special X - Could be Cigarettes, First Aid Kits, or Collectables depending on who was running the booth at the time.
By limiting the menu size customers could be in and out quickly with everything they needed for the day. This strategy would continue as Shrugway grew from the markets to its Mirror Park location.

Shrugway Mirror Park[]
On June 9, 2022 Joseph purchased the Horny's from building from Mr. Siz via Small D Real Estate. After a demo and remodel Shrugway was reopened on June 24. Working with Cerberus Entertainment Shrugway was provided a sampling of the largest ramps to have a jump off party to celebrate Shrugway's reopening party.
Shrugway's Fate After 3.0[]
The deal with the Littlemen investment group and Shrugway Sandwiches is finalized with both parties agreeing to sell the Mirror Park Shrugway shop for 20 million dollars.
The former Shrugway owners, Joseph, Attendant, Janet, and Lucky go to the bank to withdraw their perspective amounts and find that due to an accounting error the Littlemen have paid them 200 million dollars instead of the 20 mill. After informing the Littlemen, Tim and Jim say it's a small error and you can just keep the change. The 4 former Shrugway owners decide to leave Los Santos going their separate ways.
After a few months of the Littlemen neglecting Shrugway the shop closes like many things in the city due to the economic collapse. Will Shrugway rise again? Only time will tell.
The Numbers[]
Shrugway was profitable throughout its running with it's only lapse being from 1/23/23 to 2/20/23 when the receipt system broke for Shrugway and all pay stubs needed to be manually paid by Shrugway itself. At the standard $4,000 an hour rate Shrugway was losing $500,000 a week paying it's employees. This was partially remedied by Lang Buddha granting Shrugway a state grant of $1,000,000.

Shrugway revolutionised event catering for Los Santos. Staying within their remits, they found ways to bake specific items for everyone without discriminating. This led to them being one of the city's go-to suppliers for food at events. They also consistently had deals with groups based on loyalty to Shrugway.

Shrugway found a way to increase revenue by giving people a sense of exclusivity and importance. They started with allowing for the now called 'Speciality Combo' to be Sponsored for Weekly/Month fee. The sponsored naming history includes: Wiked Combo, So Cool Combo, Mushkin Meal.
Menu items (sides/desserts/drinks) could be sponsored for a monthly fee and the sponsor could buy the products at a discounted price.
