The Senora Desert Sheriff's Office, along with the Los Santos Police Department, the Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office , the San Andreas State Police, and the San Andreas State Park Rangers, makes up the executive branch of Los Santos; together they ensure that the law is upheld and enforced.
The department was formed during the dissolution of the BCSO in the aftermath of the second Sheriff election of 2021, during which Assistant Chief of Police Domenic Toretti was assigned as Sheriff of to the new department with his previous rank, while then Sheriff Kyle Pred was assigned to the newly formed Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office with his previous rank.
Chain of Command
The Sheriff, Undersheriff, and Assistant Sheriff are all High Command.
From there, the rankings are divided by Bureaus:
Support Operations
- Personnel and Training Division. Ranking of recruiters varies, beginning as low as Sergeant (Command).
- Street Crimes Unit. Ranking of detectives varies, beginning as low as Deputy.
Patrol Operations
This Bureau includes Command rankings of Lieutenant (Commanding Officer) and Sergeant (Shift Supervisor), and then from there are Corporal, Senior Deputy, Deputy, Solo Cadet, and Cadet.
Deputy call-signs begin with 9 (as in, 9xx). Cadet call-signs begin with 5 (as in, 5xx), while Cadets who have been cleared for solo patrol have call-signs that begin with 6 (as in, 6xx).
