Background[]
Sebastian Dior is a 36-year-old gay male who was born in London England to his parents Maria and Raphael Dior. Maria, his mother, was a plastic surgeon who had an illustrious career providing celebrities and the elites around the world with face lifts, botox, injections and nips and tucks in places not even heard of. Raphael Dior, his father, was one of the most prominent surgeons within the private healthcare setting within the United Kingdom. The family was wealthy, educated and highly respected. Sebastian had no siblings and so the entire expectation of carrying on the Dior legacy fell upon his shoulders.
Sebastian went to Oxford University to study Medicine and Psychiatry. Whether he liked it or not Sebastian’s young adult life was groomed to walk in the footsteps of his father and uphold the Dior family tradition. Sebastian was taught very much that family came first and though Sebastian had a passion for music and theatre his parents made him go to medical school.
Sebastian earned his medical phd, specialising in General Medicine and Psychiatry. He specialised in studying Forensic Psychology for his masters as his enjoyment was providing therapy and understanding the minds of others who were less fortunate than him. When he finished University at Oxford he went to work for his father’s private hospital as a surgeon for a good number of years within London city centre. Sebastian worked in a private hospital for the majority of his 20s once again under the thumb of his father. He learned all the necessary areas of the Medical profession, from learning basic British medical procedures, to being a paramedic, to working on various types of surgeries etc... Being moulded from a very early age, Sebastian would try to please his father as best he could which meant following in a similar line of work, getting the right qualifications and upholding the Dior name despite desires to pursue other opportunities outside of London. Being a private surgeon within London was extremely work intensive and he had very little time to socialise or live a life outside of study. Sebastian was beginning to break down and, looking at his life he became very aware that his whole life was being mapped out by someone else. He had lost all control. His career, his friendships, being single... all at the expense of being the apple of his father’s eye and the pillar of his medical peers.
As Sebastian reached his 30’s he realised that the way he was living his life under the thumb of his family could not go on any further. It was even getting to a stage where Sebastian, a proud gay male, was having his relationships interfered with by his family because his family almost wanted to “vet” the individuals before they could go out with him. He was not allowed to see anyone of a class not fitting for what his family deemed to be a professional. The classism was too much for Sebastian and he realised this was not his home anymore. It was extremely embarrassing for Sebastian to think that he could never have a partner or a romantic relationship with anyone without the ever daunting presence of his mother and father judging him and the pair of them at every turn.
Sebastian had earned quite a bit of money now and had slowly reached his limit. His last relationship ended because the guy could not take how controlling his family was over Sebastian therefore, he knew he had to make a decision; he had to leave his family surroundings and go out and make it on his own. Sebastian therefore packed up all his belongings and decided he had to leave London. After doing some internet research, he decided to emigrate to America and start his new life in a completely different environment. Sebastian could completely start a new life… a life not dictated to by his parents.
He travelled to Liberty City and started to settle down. Living in an entire new country was so daunting as life was a lot more fast paced to his life in England. Having to work his way from the bottom his first job was working in a local café serving coffee. It was a mundane 9-5 job but it paid for his rent. After a while he applied for a job within Pillbox Hospital in Liberty City, he had the education and background to train as an American EMS so he started working as an EMS trainee. American medical practices were different to English ones, so he was working from scratch, going on ride-alongs within the ambulance etc… It was so refreshing to be working his way back up within a hospital setting without just getting everything because he had the name Dior. He found himself a nice apartment in Liberty City and during his off days from the hospital he would spend time around the local bars and restaurants trying to get to know people. He began to develop a bit of a social life and his nature was more relaxed than when he was in England.
He stayed in Liberty City for about 2 years, but the city was just not for him. He could not seem to find the right set of friends and his dreams of a love life was no existent. He gave notice at Pillbox and began checking the internet to find other places to live. He was looking into places with local attractions and he came across an amusement part called Deans World which is located on a Pier. Sebastian loves the idea of going on rollercoasters he never had a chance to let loose and visit theme parks as a child so this is very enticing. Also, he loves the idea of living somewhere near the beach/coast so this Del Perro pier seems to be an attractive opportunity. He discovered the place to be called Los Santos, and he began looking for a modest apartment which he found in a set of apartments in Alta Street, Los Santos.
A year after being in Los Santos and Sebastian has achieved quite a few many things. Firstly, he is now Head of Transplant Department within Los Santos Medical Group, he is also now a registered LSMG Psychiatrist and also a mechanic within Otto's Autos. He also has a nice cosy residence within Mirror Park.
