The San Andreas Medical Group works with the rest of the governmental agencies across the city and routinely gives them necessary higher medical services while functioning as a Teaching Hospital. They are headquartered at the Central Los Santos Medical Center and sometimes also operate out of Sandy Shores Medical Center.
Chain of Command[]
The group is headed by the Board of Directors which currently consists entirely of Head Doctors; Dr. Derek Shaw, Dr. Pixie Tarantino, and Dr. Philippa Canter. The Board is responsible for establishing policies and procedures with the goal of high-quality patient care. In MDT staff profiles, board members are identified as Doctor High Command.

Reporting to the Head Doctors, Attending Doctors are in charge of maintaining the Doctoral Department and oversee its day-to-day running. They are empowered to balance staffing in the moment across SAMG facilities and lead the Scouting and Training Division. They are required to work 12 hours each month to retain their rank. In MDT staff profiles, attendings are identified as Doctor Command.
Senior Staff Doctors are more experienced staff doctors on the path to becoming Attendings. They are expected to work 10 hours each month.
Staff Doctors are experienced medical practitioners who have completed their residency and have a specialty. They are expected to work 8 hours each month.
Residents are proven medical practitioners. They have the opportunity to begin to specialize in a particular field of medicine, for which they can accept patient referrals from other doctors and provide private consultation. They are required to work 6 hours each month.
Most newly hired doctors will start as Interns, where they will prove they can treat patients in a busy ER and are capable of writing medical reports. They are required to work 4 hours each month and should become Residents within 3 months.
All members of the Doctoral Department are implicitly licensed to practice medicine within the walls of SAMG hospitals.
Psychology Department[]
The Psychology Department is lead by Dr. Pixie Tarantino, a practicing psychologist. She is solely responsible for hiring psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists, as well as overseeing unlicensed counsellors outside the SAMG.
