Richard Dark-Rhodes (né Dark) is a Dispatch Shift Leader for the San Andreas Central Dispatch, Badge #D-1.

Richard formerly served as the Assistant Chief of Police for the Los Santos Police Department. The past couple of years had been difficult on Richard and his family; multiple ICU trips, suffering amnesia from when Kyle Pred pushed him and cracked his skull on the ground at Bolingbroke Prison, his encounters with Norman Bones, and the loss of his son, Cody Sharp.

Just before the economic collapse, Richard and his husband, Matt Rhodes, moved to England in order to settle into a quieter life after everything that they went through in the past few years. During their time there, Richard reconnected with his father, Charlie, and finally introduced Matt to him. He also spent some time guest lecturing at Oxford University on "Corruption and the Ethics of Policing."

While in England, Richard had a few major surgeries: he got a new left eye and an advanced prosthetic for his left hand, and had multiple organ transplants, and is now mostly back to full health.

Trivia

• Went to therapy and spent a long time healing. He no longer holds grudges (except against terrorists). He hasn't forgiven Brian Knight for killing Cody, but has at least managed to move on.
• His father used to leave him outside in his pram when it was snowing so that he would "grow stronger."
• Cares very much about his family. His main reason for joining dispatch was so that if anything were to happen to Matt, their son would still have a father.
