Reggie Might is a character role-played by Simo.

Description[]

Reggie Might is a founder and OG of Seaside, former Asesor of the Vagos, ex-judge and ex-lawyer. Reggie gained notoriety for his talent and ruthless antics as a defence attorney, and later tailored his skills to become a calculating criminal.

Despite a short return to the Department of Justice to combat injustices in the system, Reggie returned to a life of crime and trolling. He eventually settled into his role as one of the most senior members of Seaside (taking on HR responsibilities) and as a businessman (CEO of Nexus Pharmaceuticals).

Reggie has inner demons, who he is constantly fighting to keep at bay. He immerses himself into tasks to keep his mind focused and busy. Without distractions, Reggie becomes a ticking time bomb, ready to unleash chaos on those who cross him.

Background[]

Reggie is a broken soul, damaged by his abusive father, who was a drunk, and mother, who did nothing to protect Reggie or his siblings. As a young adult, Reggie's life of crime began when he joined an MC in Australia and killed his parents for their wrong doings. Reggie fled Australia and landed in Los Santos to begin a new life. Due to his tumultuous upbringing and the heartache it represents for him, Reggie has vowed to murder any family members who try to find him. He refuses to allow people to get close to him or call them "friends" or "family". This changed thanks to shared experiences with Seaside members such as Benji Ramos and Karl Johnny Black teaching Reggie the meaning of true family and friendship. However he does still live a life of celibacy.

Reggie has a special disdain for serial killers, stemming from his work on the Cassette Killer case and seeing the manipulation done to his best friend, Bree Matthews.

Notable Events[]

Los Santos's Best Lawyer

Reggie was a criminal defense attorney and previous owner-partner of Might & Right Law Firm in Los Santos. Meggie Right and associates worked alongside Reggie in a fight for justice on behalf of their clients and to help set precedent that not only exposed loopholes within the justice system but also helped to mitigate injustices that crippled their clients' rights.

Reggie was a cut-throat attorney. His criminal background taught him that laws were often misunderstood or misrepresented with little regard for due process. His past experiences with innocent people being hurt or mistreated made it a personal fight for him. Reggie didn't go to law school - he learned by going to court cases and assisting Judge Antigone Weston as a stenographer.

Reggie was notorious for being cocky, confident, and intimidating. His courtroom approach was aggressive, flamboyant, and articulated, and his attention to detail unprecedented. Reggie used manipulation and calculated manoeuvres to under-hand not only his opposition in the courtroom but anyone in his path of justice. As one of the most sought-after lawyers in Los Santos, Reggie's reputation preceded him.

The Murder of Amanda Corrina

Reggie started down a dark path after meeting Amanda Corrina, who had called to discuss her boyfriends' legal case. Her boyfriend was in prison for multiple murders and acts against women. Reggie refused to take the case. Infuriated, Amanda demanded 50k from Reggie so she could attempt to break her boyfriend out of prison. Reggie again refused, leading Amanda and her boyfriend's brother to torture him and leave him to die.

Reggie was found barely alive and was placed in ICU for days. His face was scarred, leaving him unwilling to show his face. Reggie felt the marks represented weakness, especially since the attack made him feel vulnerable and powerless. Reggie decided to wear a replica of the mask that his attackers wore, swapping out Amanda's pink features for green. He began to hunt, and then successfully killed Amanda, all the while communicating with Clarence Williams and Lily Pond from the Los Santos Police Department about his intentions. He understood the consequences of his actions, but needed revenge to reclaim the self-esteem and confidence that Amanda had shattered.

Shortly after, Reggie began a movement similar to The Chaos, a terrorist organization vocal about its cause. It aimed to expose corruption within the DOJ and police department and would openly chant "embrace the chaos" on Twatter and tag MRPD and the courthouse with the same message. It turned out that the "chaos" movement became somewhat of a smoke screen for his "alleged" murder of Amanda by distracting the PD. Reggie called upon civilians, criminals and various DOJ members to join his movement, including ex-District Attorney Paige Green and his law firm partner Meggie Right. Reggie also spoke with a number of police officers and judges, using them as pawns in his scheme by gaining knowledge and planting seeds of information.

Reggie became a target for the Major Crimes Division in regard to the murder. He hand-picked officers, knowing exactly how to get information from them, and when to give them select details.

Vagos, War and the end of the Investigation

As the statute of limitations (30 days) approached for police to press murder charges against him, Reggie lost even more faith in the justice system. Despite leaving clues of his involvement and deliberately leaving evidence in his properties, no charges seemed to be imminent. In addition to this failure, Reggie noted that police avoided him for cell representations and pressed unfair charges on his clients. This failure in process drove Reggie even closer to a life of crime and to his close clients the Vagos. When Matt Rhodes tagged Reggie’s MDW profile ‘Vagos’ for him wearing yellow shoelaces, he doubled down – dressing in complete yellow the following day to taunt police. Whilst boosting cars with Pepe Ramos from the Vagos, Mando Thompson from the Ballas crashed into Reggie's car. After words were exchanged, Mando held Reggie and Pepe up, robbed them and then shot them. Reggie took the attack personally and sought revenge by joining the Vagos in their subsequent war against the Ballas, vowing to kill Mando for what he had done.

Following a gun fight, Reggie surrendered to police confident in his ability to talk his way out of charges thanks to the ’stand your ground’ defense. He pleaded not guilty to gang-related shooting and took the matter to bench trial. Judge Allison Thomas ruled against Reggie, stating that he should have dialed 911 and retreated, instead of shooting back at the Ballas. Shortly after Reggie got out of prison, he received a phone call from newly appointed attorney Alan Crane, who advised Reggie that he had passed the ruling by Chief Justice Coyote Russell, who said he would approve an appeal based on the information. Despite this, Reggie had had enough. He believed the justice system would let him down and Thomas’s ruling was just another nail in the coffin. Reggie said he would not appeal the charge and if there was a bar review against him, he would let them have his license.

During this time, the Major Crimes Division’s Kareem Lyon re-opened the investigation into Reggie for the murder of Amanda Corrina. Lyon painstakingly pieced together the existing evidence collected by Lily Pond and Daisy Dukakis, linking casings from the murder weapon to any casings found from Vagos. He hoped this would give enough reasonable suspicion for a search warrant to raid Reggie's warehouse with the added bonus of implicating the gang. Lyon used the M.C.D's previous investigations into Reggie and all the evidence linking him to the murder, to issue a warrant for Reggie’s arrest. Meanwhile, Reggie was already wanted for another gang-related shooting charge. This time, he was fully involved in the incident, apprehended by police but not cuffed at the time. He managed to escape from Pillbox Medical Center and evaded the police for two days.

On the final day for Reggie to be charged with Amanda's murder in line with statute of limitations, Reggie cleared his warehouse, signed over Might & Right Law Firm to Arthur MacNee from his firm and prepared himself for his inevitable arrest. Later that day Jackie Snow arrested Reggie and took him in for questioning. After almost three hours in an interrogation room and without Reggie being interviewed, M.C.D realized they couldn't press the murder charge as they had just past the statute of limitations deadline. The District Attorney, Jacob Slate, advised the police that they didn't have enough reasonable suspicion to issue a raid warrant either. Reggie served a small amount of time for the gang-related charges from the previous warrant, but the murder charge was dropped. Reggie had somewhat held out hope that the police would do their job, practically daring them to catch him. It turned out that he had kept the murder weapon on his person for three days following the murder, yet no one had bothered to search him.

A few weeks later, the 30 days statute of limitations duration was amended to 60 days. Reggie believed the change and the circumstance of his case was not a coincidence.

Quitting Law (The first time)

On July 28 2021, Reggie was summoned to the court house by Judge Allison Thomas. She issued him with a suspension of his bar license due to his recent felony charges. This came after he was refused entry into MRPD to represent a client, advised that this denial was an order from high command. This prompted Reggie to file appeals for his existing felony charges. Despite advising Judge Thomas of these appeals, she said he was "guilty until proven innocent" and would stay suspended until cleared of the felonies. This served as the final straw for Reggie. He slammed his bar card on the judge’s desk and told her to keep it. If this was how the justice department wanted to treat him, Reggie wanted no part in it.

He was tired of fighting the DOJ and the Police Department for people’s rights when no one would listen, laws were being misinterpreted or overlooked and too many corrupt cops and judges were getting away with breaking rules and regulations when it suited them. Although his suspension had been coming, Reggie knew to his very last day as lawyer in Los Santos, that he had put up a good fight and done all that he could for the people’s rights. But he was done trying.

Earning his Flag

His lawyer days behind him for now, Reggie focused on officially joining the Vagos. He had long respected the gang, particularly el Capitán Karl Johnny Black.

In July 2021, Reggie was given a task by El Jefe Arush Patel Santana (Speedy) to get 100% purity meth, in order for him to earn his bandana (become a blooded-in member of the Vagos). Reggie was given the unofficial title of "El Cheffe", which meant he was in charge of the gang’s meth operation. After 56 cooks and 11 days, Reggie achieved 100% purity meth. He was blooded in some weeks later and given the rank of Asesor (advisor).

Reggie proceeded to build up a meth empire by establishing solid relationships with the Ballas, Bondi Boys MC and Chang Gang. At the same time, he became the gatekeeper of the public labs, punishing and banishing all small and unknown groups from cooking there and orchestrating scheduled cooks between the "approved" groups. This system netted millions for the Vagos.

Reggie also bought and sold weapons and ammo from Speedy, onto other Vagos members and his many connections. This also helped him to be "prepared for war" at all times.

Leaving the Vagos

In November 2021, Vice El Jefe Benji Ramos decided to leave the Vagos. Shortly after there was a meeting of the remaining members at La Fuente Blanca where Karl Johnny Black was preparing to leave the gang as well.

As KJ was about to be executed, Reggie threw his yellow bandana on the ground and stood next to KJ, showing his solidarity. Reggie said "KJ has been the only one there for me from the beginning". This was done to anger the members, drawing their fire from KJ as well as hopefully making it easier for Reggie’s remaining friends in the gang to shoot him. He feared some may not and would get in trouble.

Reggie and KJ were shot multiple times and Reggie was later dropped in the ocean. He later turned up in the hospital, severely injured and with no memory of his past with the Vagos.

Forming Seaside

Adrift in a new world, Reggie found himself with a criminal record yet no memory of his life as a gangster. Despite this, he found himself surrounded by people he felt drawn and loyal to – Benji, KJ and the others who had left the Vagos.

In the days following the exodus, the group formalized their association as a family/gang. They jokingly tossed around names like their old 'EASTSIDE' mantra such as "Beachside" and "Seaside" as a nod to their meetups outside Benji and his girlfriend Ash’s beach house as members were blooded out of the Vagos and figuring out future plans. While the name "Seaside" started as a meme within the group, people around them, including members themselves, starting referring to the group as Seaside.

This was a hectic time for Reggie as he first began to dabble in gun sales, before dedicating his time to protecting Ash’s café which was the target of Vagos revenge attacks. Reggie also spent hours researching crops to support Ash’s business.

Due to his memory loss Judge Nathaniel Greyson offered Reggie the opportunity to be expunged of all his crimes and reinstated his bar license. This allowed him a way to support and protect his new family with his legal skills.

The Return of Jasper Saxon

In late 2021, Reggie was drawn into a police investigation of the Cassette Killer Copycat murders due to his history with infamous serial killer Jasper Saxon. In an attempt to support Reggie, Ash Ketchup became involved by placing a Yellow Pages asking for the killer to call her.

After a game of cat and mouse between Reggie and the copycat (which turned out to be Jasper himself) via phone, Reggie was abducted and tortured in December 2021. The killer then turned his attention to Ash, torturing her in March 2022.

In April 2022, Jasper (aka Alvin Kohawl) was apprehended after agreeing to meet with Reggie, and subsequently being attacked by Chico Guzman. PD moved in, arresting both Jasper and Chico. Jasper/Alvin was found guilty of multiple counts of murder, attempted murder, and acts of torture. He was executed in April 2022.

Elected Judge

Witness to countless flawed raid warrants, Reggie felt drawn back to the justice system to attempt once again to help fix its faults. Putting his name forward for a judge position, he was overwhelmingly elected to office.

On March 4 2022, Reggie Might became a Judge for the Department of Justice. Out of the five judicial candidates, Reggie gained the most votes (275).

He served three months of his term before handing in his resignation to Alan Crane. He felt he had accomplished what he intended to do for the DOJ and for the city but had felt restricted by the legal constraints of the role.

Reggie surrendered his bar card on June 9 and heartily re-joined his Seaside family in a life of crime.

Back to a Life of Crime

Since his return to his criminal roots, Reggie has dedicated much of his time to meth production, providing advice to Seaside as an OG/Council member of the gang, and gleefully shitlording police. He has also been involved in heists, from banks to the Level 4 Oil Rig.

One Last Case (also, Benji has a Bench?)

Reggie was informed that his thought-to-be-dead fellow Seaside member and former client Michael Simone was alive in March 2023 six months after faking his death. The news came to light after one of Michael’s contacts (Miguel Almerion) snitched to PD, revealing the deception and handing over weapons to LSPD’s Jackie Snow.

Reggie stepped forward to assist Michael as a legal aid and commended plea deal negotiations with officers such as Brian Knight. With roadblocks being thrown in his face and police reticent to share key information (such as planned charges), Reggie rapidly prepared for the eventuality that the matter would make it to the courtroom.

In secret, Reggie had his criminal record expunged and reclaimed his once-surrendered bar licence. He also recalled his former legal partner Meggie Right from her retirement. The dynamic duo was back for one last case.

Out driving one evening, Michael was apprehended by Hydra. Holding him hostage for hours in a Hydra warehouse, Miguel ultimately chose to hand Michael over to police. He was held in Bolingbroke Penitentiary to await trial when the Los Santos Senate intervened to pass judgement.

During the long wait, Reggie was denied a chance to review the evidence against Michael. He prepared as best he could by going through Michael's phone records for damage control purposes. During this process, Reggie found texts to Benji Ramos alluding to the Hades gun bench. After warning Michael and Benji of potential exposure, the bench's existence was confirmed. Benji later took Reggie to see the Hades headquarters in person.

The CEO Chronicles

With much of his time occupied with duties as a high ranking member of Seaside, Reggie joined other members in investigating options to expand the business portfolio of the gang. He, Benji Ramos, Karl Johnny Black, Michael Simone, Nicholas Simone and Shane Powers began work on building a corporate holding company called Trident Capital.

On a personal level, Reggie was interested in exploring fields outside of law. Benji encouraged him to join Michael's post-prison exploits in pharmaceuticals. Michael welcomed Reggie to the team, appointing him CEO of his burgeoning company Nexus Pharmaceuticals.

Reggie threw himself into the work by helping set up key aspects of the business such as briefing members of law enforcement, maintaining relations with doctors at Simone Memorial Hospital, facilitating clinical trials, and more. He also joined research and development efforts as Nexus explored potential health benefits from local flora and fungi.

A Noxious Escapade

In September 2023, Reggie joined fellow Seaside members Michael Simone, Karl Johnny Black and Shane Powers on a secret and highly illegal trip to Sanguine Isle to collect soil samples. The island was the site of an invasion and battle the previous month, with all travel now prohibited by San Andreas authorities.

Reggie and Michael hoped the highly radiated environment might net unknown treatment options for Nexus Pharmaceuticals to explore. During their mission, Reggie’s hazmat suit was torn and he quickly fell ill. The group evacuated the isle to seek aid, transporting Reggie to Nexus before realizing he needed greater medical intervention.

Regaining consciousness following two blood transfusions, Reggie learned that his radiation poisoning was incurable but treatable. He began devoting his time to researching treatment options with new samples of noxious mushrooms popping up across San Andreas.

Everything goes wrong at the same time

As Reggie’s health deteriorated from radiation poisoning, the gang he helped build soon faced its darkest hour. Internal strife simmered as Michael Simone, a then Seaside Council Member, facilitated the murder of one of Benji Ramos’s associates Edgar Del Castillo - the once unbreakable bonds of brotherhood began to fray at the edges.

Reggie joined Benji in raging at Michael with tensions boiling over during an incident at Bahama Mamas West where Benji threatened to murder one of Michael’s associates. Reggie stood firm in his support of Benji… despite the intended victim being the very doctor keeping Reggie alive. As hostilities rose, the meeting was bombed and Reggie injured in the crossfire.

The Simone brothers ultimately left Seaside. Disappointed in the situation and his own choice to insist on giving the Simones a position of power in the gang, Benji gathered his remaining gang members to advise them that a new future was needed.

Escaping from his hospital room, Reggie called the group to meet on a bench looking over the ocean to reveal the horrible truth – he was dying and needed depart Los Santos to seek a cure.

As the conversation neared discussion on the future, the meeting was interrupted by a rocket-wielding BBMC seeking revenge from an earlier shoot out. Dragon Rush and Louis Blanc defended and rescued their family, and Michael provided weaponry for the Seasiders to retaliate against the attack.

Before leading the assault against the Billabong, Benji asked Reggie to join him but understood that he needed to leave. In an emotional farewell, the two hugged: "I love you, Reggie. I’ll see you when I see you. I’m sure you are going to be ok. If you need anything, I’m one call away."

As he flew away from the city in a helicopter provided by Michael, Reggie left behind the only family he had ever known to an uncertain future.

Relationships[]

Karl Johnny Black – Reggie is loyal to few others more than he is to KJ, considering him a trusted advisor and good friend. Reggie joined the Vagos partly to work more with the then el Capitán. When KJ faced a firing squad for flagging his interest in leaving the gang, Reggie stepped forward to stand next to him.

Benji Ramos – Despite Reggie’s fiercely independent nature and tendency to work alone, he found a leader worth following in Benji. Following the Vagos exodus in November 2021, Reggie joined other ex-members in creating Seaside under Benji’s leadership. They will often yell at and berate each other, but neither doubt the other’s commitment to their chosen family.

Serge Cross - One a former criminal, the other a former cop: Reggie found a kindred spirit in Serge during their shared tenure as Los Santos judges. Despite their respective returns to their previous occupations, the pair remain close friends. Both are loudly outspoken about injustices and stupidity in the system.

Jack Davenport - This friendship formed from mutual respect and trolling. Reggie, known for his “shitlording” of police officers, has enjoyed a friendly banter with Davenport. Highlights include a multi-hour ‘petty off’ in the form of a traffic stop.

Unified Police Department/3.0 - Similar to his dynamic with Davenport, Reggie can often be found trolling police, usually unmaliciously. Common participants in this repartee included Jimmy Frost, Gage Draider, Lisa Adkins, Elizabeth Reed, Luka Kovacic, and more.

Harvey Normandy –A long-time friend and Reggie’s ‘clean’ person. Harvey, a Harmony Repairs Garage employee, trolls Reggie at any opportunity but has also been there when Reggie needed him the most. Harvey lent his Holden to Reggie and allowed him to pay it off for him, as well as holds a warehouse under his name on Reggie’s behalf.

Meggie Right - Meggie Right was Reggie's law firm partner and good friend. They worked effortlessly together and bounced court cases off one another to find solutions or draw up the best arguments for each case. She came to the law firm just at the right time when the case load was extremely busy. They were feared when together as they were an unmatched force to go up against in the courtroom or in interrogation.

Past close ties

Jordan Walker - Reggie has had a long standing relationship with Jordan Walker. As the owner of Harmony Repairs Garage, Jordan gave Reggie an opportunity to work at the garage. Jordan is one of the few people who Reggie trusts and looks up to. For this reasons, Reggie refuses to let anyone do any crime or do any wrong by Jordan or by the garage.

Ash Ketchup – A friend since their days rolling around the city on the side of a car as part of Law Gang. Reggie first assisted Ash with legal matters due to her then association with his clients in the Vagos (for example, he helped get the Vagos tag removed from her MDW profile which was placed by Randy Wrangler; and also helped get her criminal record expunged before Reggie quit as an attorney). Reggie was very protective of Ash and stated helped that she helped keep Reggie grounded and feel more "human".

Bondi Boys MC - Reggie has a soft spot for the BBMC, stemming from his past MC days and fondness for several members such as Junior Meats. During his time as a lawyer, Reggie often provided them advice and representation. Reggie also claims ownership of a cactus located in the BBMC headquarters, The Billabong.

Vagos – Reggie has a long and complicated history with the Vagos. During his time as a lawyer, Vagos members would scream out "Reggieeeeee!" in the cells. As their retained attorney, Reggie would often be called to the cells at all times of the day, and represented them in court on a number of cases. As a member, he led their meth operation and became good friends with Raymundo Ortiz and Frank Junior Smith. Since leaving the gang, Reggie continues to do occasional business with the group.

Jaxon Haze - Jaxon Haze was a good friend of Reggie. Old criminal buddies, Reggie and Jaxon go way way back to 2.0, where Jaxon was Reggie's president when they were both in the Bondi Boys MC during one of the last iterations in 2.0. Reggie remembers very little after the economy crash, only that Jaxon did crime with him but not that they had been part of any club together. Reggie introduced Jaxon to the Vagos and gave him an inside connection to doing bank jobs, oxy runs and other criminal activities.

Tim Buratler - Tim was Reggie's friend, driver and head paralegal of Might & Right Law Firm. Tim would often drive Reggie and his legal team around Los Santos and was the co-Founder of Law Gang. When Reggie entered into his dark and chaotic phase, Tim felt distant from Reggie and decided to leave his side and went on his own way.

Clarence Williams - Clarence was one of Reggie's closest friends and also his primary inside connection to the police.

Cleo Shaw - Cleo was a police cadet that Reggie met and befriended. As they landed on different sides of the law, they kept their relationship a secret from nearly everyone in the city. They frequently had secret meetings to have deep talks, metal detect, or ride around on Reggie's motorcycle. Reggie opened up to Cleo, telling her things about his past and his personality that he had only told one other person in the city. The dynamic between the two was known to be a bit volatile at times. They have since grown apart.

Günther Klean - Gunther Klean was a Criminal Informant (C.I) who Reggie represented during a plea deal with Randy Wrangler. Although this deal would be a huge conflict for Reggie knowing who Gunther was snitching on, Reggie covered his bases well and made sure his retained clients were always protected. Gunther self-leaked the deal on twatter before faking his death and disappearance. He later came back and his first contact back was with Reggie. He made a number of cryptic Morse code and treasure hunt like puzzles for Reggie to follow before trusting in Reggie to keep his whereabouts secret.
