Queenies Rock Bar, owned by Finley Milton and Stevie McQueen, was a bar and entertainment venue located on the Vespucci Beach boardwalk at the location of the former Beachwalk Bistro.
Queenies held outdoor performances by famous and up-and-coming artists in the city, as well as a private events room for hosting meetings, after-work functions and other recreational activities.
The bar stocked a variety of non-alcoholic caffeinated beverages, including third-party alcoholic drinks from the Liquid Library.
The Beginnings[]
Stevie and her club, the BBMC, had long dreamed of a venue that could help promote the talents of artists in the city. She, along with her son and business partner, Finn, were inspired by the idea of creating a bar and entertainment venue in the heart of Vespucci to showcase the talented musicians among their friends and club members, like Hubcap Jones.
On Nov. 18th, 2022, Finn purchased the storefront for Queenies from Nancy Drew for $200,000, after getting a business account for it the day before, with plans for Finn and Stevie to design the interior together.
The upstairs of Queenies was a hangout spot for the club, with a pool table, private office, a seating area for talking (or sleeping it off) and an underground medical station where Finn would fix up club members' injuries.
RICO[]
All of the BBMC's businesses were confiscated by the Federal Investigation Bureau six months following a RICO warrant being delivered to them at the Billy on the 13th of December 2023.
