Orpheus Entertainment is an events management company started by Nancy Drew. Orpheus run the events inside of Cerberus Arena.
About[]
After Lang Buddha gave the National Paintball Association to Nancy Drew, she rebranded the company to Orpheus Entertainment, to encompass a wider range of events than just paintball. Orpheus and the arena provide Go-Karts, Monstertruck rallies, Demolition Derby and a Concert venue.
Orpheus also makes and sells stages, microphones, megaphones, fireworks, flares, news lights, and instruments.
Orpheus sells their products at a very low profit margin. Owner Nancy Drew stated that she wants to help businesses and event planners improve their events and it's not about making money. She has explained that she understands how hard it might be for some people to get access to a megaphone or fireworks and so she wants to make those products as accessible as possible. Nancy partnered with Parks and Recreation to sell them the products at a special discount.
Behind the Name[]
With Greek mythology, there are multiple ways to interpret the Orpheus story:
Nancy interprets the story of Orpheus as following:
'Cerberus was a three-headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld. Orpheus, the god of entertainment, music and poetry, wanted access to the underworld. Cerberus was so entertained by Orpheus, that the three-headed dog backed down and opened the gates to the underworld for Orpheus.'
The story resonated with Nancy because through her hard work and dedication to events, she was able to charm Cerberus enough to let her in their world and grant her the arena.
Paintball[]
Ever since the Cerberus Arena opened on August 7th, 2021, Nancy has ran several paintball tournaments under the National Paintball Association. Nancy stopped after the fourth tournament because the prize money made teams take the competition too seriously, and their toxicity took the fun away from the event. Nancy's employees were still encouraged and supported to host fun events and pickup-games.
The Arena features one Paintball map: Wasteland.
Go Karts[]
Since December 9th, 2021, Go Karts have taken the city by storm as a fun and easy way to have some fun after daily grinding. Nancy requested improvements like special Go Kart Dongles for in the arena, special upgraded go karts with NOS, and more tracks.
The Arena features two Go Kart tracks: Concrete Jungle and Concrete Maze.
Airsoft Testing[]
On February 19th, 2022, Alex Ron and Michael Simone rented out the Arena from Nancy to 'test some stuff'. They brought Airsoft rifles with them and asked Nancy to invite some trusted and enthusiastic people to test them out. The testing was a huge success, and the feedback from the players was all around positive. Everyone was excited for the new 'hit-scan' BB guns with no drop.
The second round of testing occurred on March 12th, 2022, when Michael Simone asked Nancy to put on a small tournament. Nancy planned a private tournament and Michael fronted the $100,000 prize money. Nancy invited Chang Gang, the Angels and The Guild to play. With Benji Ramos as an unexpectedly amazing shout caster, the private tournament was a success. The only hiccup was when teams were arguing about using 'buffs' and armor to re-generate health during matches, which reminded Nancy of why she stopped doing tournaments in the first place, as people take it way too seriously when money is involved. The tournament ended after a good two hours with Chang Gang taking first place and the $100k prize.
Monster Trucks[]
On July 27, 2022, Orpheus finally got monster trucks inside of the Cerberus Arena. On July 31, 2022, the Arena received a new Sunday Sunday Sunday! map full of ramps and daredevil jumps.
The Arena features two Monster Truck layouts: Empty Dirt and Sunday Sunday Sunday! (a dirt landscape of ramps and daredevil jumps including a half-loop).
Demolition Derby[]
On August 16th, 2022, Orpheus got a demolition derby map. The map looks similar to the paintball course, except the inside is completely empty except for a few buried tires. The cars are deceivingly old-looking, but take a good beating to ensure long lasting demo-derby fun.

Orpheus uses a mailbox in the Cerberus Business Center to help sell the following events items to the public:
