  • Are all the gang member sections formatted like the HOA's, or is it just me?

  • For some reason I can’t add any links to the episode list (from 9th August) I have a link to a handful of episodes from mainly August, can somebody please update it for me, it would be really helpful, thank you! Here are some links to the playlists of the rest of the episodes that need updating!

It’s all in order from near the beginning of August to the 20th September:

  • I am not worried about grammar as that can be fixed afterward. The idea behind a wiki is to edit and continue editing. I would rather have something on a page than nothing.

I have noticed you bold every character name in articles, and I have intentionally not done so. Can we not bold all character names? It is difficult to edit with and read post-processing.

    1. I prefer editing using source code because occasionally I will write HTML and seeing a lot of triple quotation marks disrupts the flow.
    2. Reading an article with a lot of bold text makes me not want to read the article. It makes articles illegible. It is one of the reasons I stopped reading the more extensive articles in this fandom.

In my opinion, bold should be used for something important, like a title, emphasizing an intriguing idea, emotion. There are approximately more than 1000 whitelisted applicants who interact with many characters bolding their name is wasting time best used elsewhere. An example is helping your fellow editor with grammatical mistakes.

    Thank you for your time!

    • I told you my issue with bold text where I could of just as easily ignored it.

How does your view have more value than another person?
I only re-explained my reasoning so you can understand my thought process. It physically hurts my eyes reading bolded text in consession. I think that is a valid complaint.

NoPixel has more than 1000+ whitelisted people. How is that tight-knit? If anything, that is 1000 people one character can possibly meet.

You are justifying removing another person's written texts when you didn't even bother looking at their edits. Ideas aren't as easily replaceable as bold text, as you mentioned.

English is not my first language. I am changing the grammar of the page to the best of my abilities. I tried to be accommodating to your suggestions, and since you seem to have a proper grasp of grammar, you can help.

My issue is your inability to see past people trying to contribute to an empty wiki page. It does not matter if it is an outline, an idea, a sentence, even if it is improper, it has value in creating a vision. If people have problems, they can just as easily remove the text or comment it out using the edit button. The edit button exists for a reason. I would rather have a bunch of random outlines suggesting ideas than nothing at all.

Credibility is already lost when I look at the comment below and agree with the comment. You shut that person out entirely even though Az is correct in saying their way is the proper way to format categories for fandoms. You telling them no one complained about it doesn't make it any less a problem. Personally, when I looked at the categories, I wondered why it looked like that.

These reasons you gave are personal preferences, to say that something should stop just because you don't like how it looks is completely hypocritical to the point you're trying to make (that I think that my view holds more value than everyone else's) as you're trying to use the fact that it affects you as reasoning as to why it shouldn't be a standard. And at no point did I ever say that my personal view held more value than anyone's, nor do I believe it myself. I've just been simply countering your opinions with the fact that bringing attention to these characters within other characters' wikis helps the readers see who they're interacting with easier.

On your comment about the community size, 1000 people is not a lot in the grand scheme of things. Not to mention that a fraction of those 1000 people regularly play, and an even smaller fraction of those people actually regularly stream characters that develop rich backstories that could warrant a wiki page (eg. Nino or Uchiha vs some permathon characters or random people who exclusively grind for a gang and don't stream to share their character's story.)

On your claim that I didn't look at your edits, I did and I explained why they were reverted in my last comment. Anyone can look at those edits I was speaking about and see exactly what I meant.

And finally, at no point did I ever say that contributing to an article rather than not contributing at all was bad, I have only said that you should not purposely push edits with bad grammar just because. And despite English not being your first language I've seen that you are capable of writing legibly and correctly through this conversation, so you've demonstrated that you have the capabilities to make grammatically correct edits rather than just leaving it as a raw braindump. All I'm asking is that you help out the rest of us by spending the minute amount of extra time needed to grammatically correct whatever you write before you save it as a new edit. Not only does that make any page you edit look that much more readable, but it also allows the rest of us to spend time adding new content to pages rather than just fixing what's already on the page.

  • We're getting rid of Category:Factions (Gangs/Departments/Businesses) it's redundant category that serves no purpose.

  • Hey, I saw that you changed Dab's wiki to past tense rather than the current tense, and I have to disagree with those changes. It was fine and flowed nicely in the tense it was in, and made sense when read in a chronological and narrative setting. Changing everything to the past tense made it cluttered and rather clunky, so I am going to request we can change it back.

Would you be willing to revert your edits? Let me know so we can figure something out.

    • It was modified to the standard all the other pages are/should be written in as this is an encyclopedia for characters on NoPixel, not a novel. All the events listed on that page occured in the past and are not ongoing as MoonMoon took a break from RP and the character is on a soft perma awaiting his return, therefore it doesn't make sense to write everything in the present tense as it is not happening in the moment. The way it was written before was as if it was a news broadcast of what was occuring, as it occured, something that both: looks odd when read back knowing the context of the events and is the plainly wrong tense for this kind of medium. No offense to you in particular as I know you made some contributions to that page, it's just a correction so it looks more presentable and clean to read.

Also, reverting is not an option as in addition to the tense fixes there were a ton of formatting and general grammatical fixes in that one edit. Although if you spot anything that I may have missed or now sounds odd due to how it was formatted before feel free to make any corections.

  • Let me know if people keep removing content like that from pages. If it keeps up I'll just have to force people to make accounts before making changes.

    • Alright, it seems like it's isolated to Angel's wiki for now. I guess one of her fans doesn't like the fact that she was found guilty of wrongdoing. If it keeps up I'll let you know.
