Max is currently a personal assistant for Ray Mond .
Max had an interest in pursuing a criminal career, but was unsure where to start. He asked Lucas to recommend him to Ray Mond.
After seeing the relationship (business/friendship) build between April Fooze & Lucas Spade, Max wanted to try being an assistant himself, to further his journey in Los Santos.
Ray started allowing Max to bring her food & drinks & Max was able to obtain a practice hacking laptop for Ray.
Once Ray Mond started selling thermite for Vinny Pistone, she trusted Max to find her customers, (which has evolved into Max being able to sell it first hand). This has lead to Max making more connections, meeting new people & furthering his - possibly criminal - career in Los Santos.
