The Major Crimes Division is the current investigative division for the Los Santos police force. It is intended to be a fresh start in part to avoid the stigmas that many of the previous detective agencies have had in the past.
Description
The Major Crimes Division is led by Johnny Divine. The division is further divided into three units: the Commercial Crimes Unit, the Gangs and Narcotics Unit, and the Violent Crimes Unit.
Unlike the Joint Task Force, the detectives of the Major Crimes Division are expected to operate as detectives first, with patrol duties coming secondary.
Commercial Crimes Unit
The Commercial Crimes Unit is supervised by Lance Malton, with detectives Dante Wolf and Richard Dark currently assigned to the unit.
This unit is tasked with cases involving automobile theft, illegal racing, tax evasion, fraud, and cybercrime.
Gangs and Narcotics Unit
The Gangs and Narcotics Unit is supervised by Vladimir Raven, with detectives Luka Kozlov and Sam Baas currently assigned to the unit.
This unit is tasked with cases involving gangs, narcotics, and illegal firearms.
Violent Crimes Unit
The Violent Crimes Unit is supervised by Jenny Hall, with detectives Daisy Dukakis and Lauren Forcer currently assigned to the unit.
This unit is tasked with cases involving homicide, extortion, strong-armed robbery, and weapon-involved robbery.
