Backstory[]
Maddie was born into a middle class family. She had two younger sisters, Daisy and Alexis, and one older brother, Alejandro. Maddie's father was incarcerated when she was 9, a 15-year sentence for drug trafficking. Not long after, Maddie's mom passed away to breast cancer when Maddie was only 12 years old. Alejandro took over their father's business and by the time Maddie turned 16, she was selling drugs to other kids at her school. She never wanted to be part of that industry, but she was loyal to her family and would give anything to make sure they would be okay, and see them happy.
When Maddie turned 18, she hoped to leave her hometown and continue her education to become a doctor one day. This dream came from the countless doctor visits when her mom was sick. Maddie had to watch that dream slip away when one day her brother abruptly died. It was a boating accident during a business meeting with some clients. Maddie unfortunately decided to stay home that day, so Alejandro took Daisy, who was only 16. According to Daisy, Alejandro "slipped" and they never recovered his body.
Daisy and Maddie never really got along. Alexis was always there to keep the peace between the two. Daisy always held resentment because Alejandro favored Maddie, and Maddie knew that Daisy was capable of horrible things. She knew with her heart that Daisy was the reason their brother died.
Five years later, their dad was let out early for "good behavior" and Daisy took the opportunity to become the favored one. Maddie was still helping with the family business, because she felt that she owed it to her brother to be loyal to her family. She made sure that Alexis went to her dream college, because one of them should follow their dreams. With Alexis gone she was on constant edge when she was around Daisy. The only one making sure that she didn't kill Daisy was her bodyguard, Diego. She knew one day Daisy would slip and admit the truth about Alejandro's death.
That day came two years later, a week after Maddie turned 25. The Feds were starting to look into their family again, and were constantly breathing down their necks, making everyone tense. Maddie got brought in for questioning by two detectives, Detective Robinson and Detective Juarez. Fortunately, they didn't have enough evidence to arrest her.
Maddie went home to report back to her father. Daisy interrupted their conversation and immediately started accusing Maddie of being a snitch. Daisy said, "Alejandro would be so upset that you're betraying your family," and those words triggered something in Maddie. She pulled out her gun and pointed it at Daisy's head, and said in a deadly tone "You don't get to speak of him, and pretend that you weren't the one that killed him."
Daisy didn't flinch at the accusation, but simply smiled and said "Oh good, I was wondering how long it would take you to figure it out." Maddie's vision turned red and only her father could snap out of it, yelling at her to put the gun down. Maddie looked at her father and realization hit her, asking if he knew the whole time. He simply nodded and said, "Your brother didn't know what he was doing. He would've ended up dead eventually."
Something snapped in Maddie, and after all the years of holding back, she decided to let go. She simply started laughing until her stomach hurt. She looked her father dead in the eyes and said, "He was twice the man you'll ever be," and shot her father in-between his eyes. She was thrown to the floor by her sister and the gun fell far from reach. Daisy was on top, choking Maddie. Her vision because to blur when she heard a gunshot and Daisy's body slumped against her. Diego, the bodyguard, had fired the shot.
Everything after was a blur, as Diego got rid of the bodies. He packed them both a bag with enough money to keep them comfortable. They burned the house and made sure there was no paper trail. Diego drove them both out of town and they didn’t stop fleeing until they reached Los Santos and went their separate ways. Maddie never heard of Diego again, and made a mental note to track down Alexis without incriminating her.
Events[]
Maddie ended up joining Sirens, a gang founded by Winter Sison and Issa Belle. Despite her reserved nature, she found her place within the tight-knit group for a while, until drama caused her to leave. The Sirens were eventually disbanded when Winter joined Hades Gang. While dating Twinkles, Maddie became closer to the Clowns and met Hazel Grey, who became her closest friend.
In January 2025, she met Esmeralda Pingafria, the long-lost daughter of Osvaldo Pingafria. After Esmeralda confirmed the parentage with a DNA test, Maddie was convinced to take the same test. It returned positive as well, adding yet another daughter to Osvaldo's complicated family.
Now that she knows that Osvaldo is her real biological father, Maddie came to the conclusion that the reason why her late father didn't like her was because she wasn't his biological child and he somehow knew. Still, she didn't know if she was adopted, or if she was a product of an affair between her mom and Osvaldo, since she was too young to learn from her mom before she died.
Maddie began to develop romantic feelings for Hazel as well, who also had started dating Osvaldo. The guilt of having those feelings led her to talk to Twinkles, and they ended up breaking up.
The breakup with Twinkles created tensions between Maddie and Hazel, making them no longer friends. The war between the Clowns and the Mimes made things worse, especially with Yuri Popov's stirring. Eventually, thanks to the involvement of her new family, Maddie and Hazel patched things up. Her and Hazel became close again, but Maddie also became closer with her sisters, especially Reina Jones.
After some of her friends tried to start a rumor that she and Bobby Beldrum, Hazel's older brother, were seeing each other, Maddie and Bobby briefly fed into the rumors as a joke. Shortly after, her friend Nori Valentine introduced her to Claude "Kio" Petit by setting them up on a blind date - of which they both thoroughly enjoyed, and the two began talking and hanging out together. With Kio introducing her to Hydra, and on June 26, 2025, Kio officially asked Maddie to be his girlfriend. (She said yes.)
Recently, Maddie and Esme decided to start a new gang on their own.
