Description[]
Lily Night-Sky (born November 30th, 1990), also known as Bubblegum, is a clown and member of the Clowncil.
Backstory[]
Prior to Clowncil[]
Post Clown-Mime War, in early 2024, Lily was skeptical of the organizational tactics of the New Clown Order (NCO), having been talked down to by its leadership on numerous occasions. During one such meeting, she was ordered by Chatterbox to be "silent", like a mime, when she wanted to speak. Lily's partial and residual mime-related affliction made her struggle to see some clowns as friends once again.
As a result, Lily held little desire to rejoin the clowns under the NCO. On a few occasions, she put up anti-NCO graffiti, and discussed her concerns about the NCO with others. In one such discussion with Moose Knuckles, he suggested that they form a different clown organization of their own, the Everlasting Clowns of Humble Origins (ECHO).
Eventually, ECHO dissolved and Lily signed the Clown Code of the NCO. She later joined the reformed Clowncil.
Disputed Heritage[]
Lily had been led to believe that she had one clown parent and one mime parent. Frequently being targeted by the Mimes reinforced this belief, and she was often mocked for it by other clowns, especially Chatterbox, who did not trust her. Meanwhile, she found out that Bringle Dingus was her twin brother, after he had multiple DNA tests taken to discover his own parentage. Both siblings remained unaware who their parents were.
The events that caused Ray Mond to leave the city to work on herself had a traumatic effect on Chatterbox, who was recovering from intensive care and having hallucinations of himself and Ray together, from Ray's point of view. After consulting with Dr. Krystal Bordier, the clown doctor, she wished to check if Ray's blood transfusion may have had anything to do with it. Dr. Bordier eventually recovered a sample of Ray's blood that the Mimes stored at Humane Labs and Research, and began analysis. After comparing the blood to her samples from other clowns, the doctor unexpectedly discovered that Ray was a genetic match for Lily, in that they likely had the same mother. This meant that Lily, Bringle, Ray, and Yuno Sykk were all related. However, as they were two sets of twins, Dr. Bordier did not rule out the minor possibility that the pairs were cousins to each other, each born to identical twin mothers.
The discovery also confirmed that Lily was 100% clown and was not half-mime.
