General Description[]
Kylie Stokes is a Corporal for the Los Santos Police Department, Badge #438.
She was formerly a Dispatcher for the Los Santos Police Dispatch, Call-Sign Delta-28.
Physical Description[]
She is a fairly young woman who had a very distinctive bright red pixie haircut. She has recently started growing her hair out and wears contact lenses most of the time instead of her glasses.
Background Information[]
Kylie grew up in a town just outside Sydney with her biological brother Ben Stokes. This town had a very religious vibe to it and therefore wasn't very welcoming to those who didn't have traditional heterosexual lifestyles. Kylie realized at the age of 15 she did not fit into this mold and knew she had to keep it secret. She since had a bunch of casual relationships, but no-one in the town knew of them.
Her brother Ben had a best friend growing up named Matt. He would constantly, and vocally, make advances towards Kylie, which of course she rebuffed. Matt even went so far as to call Kylie a "dyke" for rejecting him, which of course made Kylie panic as she knew she couldn't let her secret get out. She later found out he was just joking as teenage boys do.
As they grew older, Ben took a dramatically unsavory turn, running with a bad crowd who vandalized buildings and engaged in all sorts of antisocial behavior all over town.
Matt, on the other hand, matured and Kylie decided that he was OK. He'd just been an immature kid when he was giving her a hard time, and by the time she was 19 and he was 17 he'd grown out of that. Even though he still fancied her a lot, he seemed to have got the message that she wasn't interested. She was even fond of him in an odd way, and thought that if she was into boys she might have given him a chance. But she emphatically wasn't, so there was nothing more to be said about it. She just hoped that her brother wouldn't be a bad influence on him.
Kylie herself began a university degree in computer science, which gave her plenty more opportunity to travel into Sydney to get away from her family's judgement.
One night, Kylie was partying in Sydney with Chloe, her girlfriend at the time. In a club called "Palms on Oxford", she spotted Matt dancing with some friends. They met each other's gaze and for a moment Kylie was gripped with panic. He would know her secret now. But when he came over, he laughed nervously and struck up a conversation. He admitted that he was out celebrating a gay friend's birthday, that he wasn't gay himself, but that he was "totally cool with it". They actually ended up having a nice night out all together, and Matt promised not to out Kylie to her brother or anyone else.
The next day, back in her home town, the news was all over the town that some kids had broken into the high school and set a fire which had spread and destroyed half the building. Ben had been suspiciously quick to claim that he'd been out with Matt that night, and that it was Matt who'd led the group into the school while Ben had wanted nothing to do with it.
Ben and Kylie's parents had a lot of authority in their neighbourhood, so when they related this story the tide of public opinion quickly swung in favor of blaming Matt. None of Matt's friends came out in defense, and Kylie knew it was because they didn't want anyone to know that he and they had been at an LGBTQ bar the night before.
Kylie was in the agonizing position of being the only person even entertaining the notion of doing the right thing. But to do so would mean coming out to the last people she'd expect to understand - her family.
In the end, she decided she couldn't let Matt take the blame for something he couldn't have done. So she revealed that she'd seen him, and she publicly stated where and who she'd been with. Matt sheepishly confirmed the story, and the police followed the blame for the arson back to the only other person it could logically fall to: Ben.
Kylie had cleared her conscience, but her troubles were only just beginning. Her parents were furious when they confronted her. Not only had she stitched her brother up to the police, but now they knew about her "godless" lifestyle which she'd been conducting under their noses for so many years. They ordered her to get out of the family home and not darken their door until she could think of a way to make reparation for the hurt she'd caused them.
Naturally, Kylie knew that she had nothing to apologize for. She moved in with Chloe, who lived in Sydney, and finished her university degree. By the time she graduated, unfortunately, her and Chloe broke up, and she was once again without a place to call home.
By then, she decided that she couldn't face staying in the area any longer. She needed to get as far away from that place as possible. She booked the first flight she could to Los Santos.

On October 20th, 2021 Kylie was executed by Juan Carlos Hernandez, Miguel Almerion, and Julio Thomas after she told the HoA that she discovered and thoroughly investigated their illegal crafting bench. Wanting nothing to leak out and to punish dangerous curiosity, she was marked for death. She is currently still alive in Los Santos, however is exiled from Mirror Park Tavern, the place she used to call home. |

On November 9, 2021 Kylie had her Los Santos Police Dispatch interview with Tommy Horver and Adam Watson. A few days later, she was offered the position of Administrative Assistant with the possibility of promotion to Dispatch given time and dedication. In the four weeks of Admin Assistant, Kylie clocked in nearly 170 hours and completed 28 reports. On December 11, 2021, Horver took Kylie into the Captain's Office inside MRPD and hired her as a Dispatch Trainee with callsign D-28T. Kylie set herself a goal to become a full dispatcher by Christmas. After blitzing through her training, most of which was done with Iris Nivira, she had her final evaluation with Adam Watson on Christmas Day of 2021, where she was promoted to Dispatcher with callsign D-28. |
