Background[]
The Second Mime War[]
In December 2023, Keith was drafted into the Second Mime War. After arriving on the chartered plane stolen by Kirk Jerkems, Keith was quickly pulled from the standard bootcamp regimen due to his ability to fly a Helicopter and previous medical knowledge.
Keith was assigned as pilot in a Really Ouchie for Life Medevac unit and flew his ROFLcopter behind emimey lines on regular missions to pick up anyone that had "Pulled a Stumbles".
During his 42069th flight of picking up Clowns plucked so freshly from college their greasepaint was still wet, Keith was shot down by a barrage from the new silence inducing light emitter network technology invented by the Mime weapons industry.
After falling to the SILENT array, Keith was taken to the Marceau Clowntainment facility. Keith was sure that he would be tortured quietly by the Mimes. Their brutality and savagery on the field of battle was legendary. Due to his medical designation, Keith was treated as a neutral captive rather than a hostile prisoner. Initially considering this to be a foolish mistake Keith begun devising plans to escape and after observing the mimes attempted transport out in the garbage by remaining very still and pretending to be a statue.
Unfortunately, Keith planned his daring escape for a Wednesday morning and the previous night's Taco Tuesday caused his discovery. Operating in silence driving an all electric Garbage Collector, Keith felt a rumbling in his belly. Taking a chance and hoping that he would only shit his pants, Keith relaxed slightly and the resulting sound while no louder than a twig snapping deafened Keith's dreams of freedom.
After a 6 month isolation in an invisible box, Keith was returned to the general population. Having to sit in his own silence reminded him of the time spent in Bolingbroke Penitentiary and he focused on the joy and laughter he shared in Los Santos and he was determined to return when he was able to.
After his escape attempt and general well tolerance of the box, the Mimes did not change their treatment of Keith much to his surprise. Keith had been taught that the Mimes were less than human and unfit for society. Keith began understanding that the Mimes and Clowns will never agree on many things, they have similarities that run to their core and are advocates for the same beliefs, albeit with different methods.
During this time Keith also began to distrust and despise the Clowngress for their aggressive acts towards the Mimes and fellow clowns. On reflection, Keith was able to see that many of the previous injuries he responded to could be explained by faulty equipment, clown on clown yuckery, or just lack of training for the Clownlisted.
On conclusion of the war and full surrender by the Clowngress, Keith was released as part of the final prisoner swap. On his return to Fort Baxter, Keith was offered the Patch Adams for his distinction in service. After refusal of the Purple Nose, Keith accepted his discharge papers, his retirement stipend and a plane ticket back to Los Santos hoping to rebuild his life and deal with his physical, emotional, and spiritual defeat.
