Karina Takahashi is a business women who plays a part in multiple different company's around Los Santos
She has an immense passion for business, and those she cares about in life. Originally from Japan, she left her past behind and has been living in America for quite some time in an attempt to start anew.
Personality[]
Karina's personality is generally upbeat and positive energy, though sometimes scary when you rub her the wrong way. Karina is very loyal to those she does let become her friend. Kari is very skilled at socializing, which has lead to her forming many connections around Los Santos.
Background[]
Karina Takahashi, born as Takahashi Hikari, a dead name that only her family back home knew until recently- was born to her Canadian mother and Japanese father in Sakai, Fukui Japan, as their one and only child. Growing up, the family visited Canada as often as they could to see her mother’s side of the family, but due to her father's position in the Yakuza, they stayed primarily in Tokyo, Japan. When Karina was still fairly young, her father broke the news to her that her mother was murdered by a rival Yakuza family in an attempt to get Karina’s father. The details of the attack were very limited to Karina and assumingly her father and who was exactly behind the murder of her mother was never found.
Living now only in Japan with her father, her mother who once shielded her from the awful life she was born into was gone, and her father began pushing Karina to take part in the Yakuza ways of life. Although it was his way to make sure Karina was able to take care of herself and defend herself if needed, she never wanted to be a part of this life. As the years went by Karina was taught the ins and outs of guns, and an array of different weapons, but the one thing that caught her attention the most that she excelled at using were the knives. Her natural talent with knives was praised by her father and her Yakuza family, which caused them to push Karina more into helping with any enemies they faced.
As her teenage years went on, Karina secretly planned her escape from the Yakuza. Slowly stashing money on the side by doing small gigs of her own without her fathers knowledge. Not having many close ties to anyone when it was time to sneak away in the dead of the night Karina left without turning back and made her way to start her new life.
So with a new ID that had it written, she was 19, a now legal adult, and a new name she had picked from an old nickname, Kari turned into Karina, as well as her mother's family name, Dawn, Karina left Japan to make her new life. It was rough the first couple of years of Karina's new life, as she didn't really know what to do with her newfound freedom. She had been so used to living under both the strictness of her father and the Yakuza family's ways of living, that she quickly started feeling lost. It didn't help that due to her upbringing she lacked a lot of everyday skills that someone her age would normally have. Making friends was also hard, as she knew she could never tell anyone about her past. The loneliness of her newfound freedom started weighing hard on her, but Karina knew going back to her father was never going to be an option for her, so in hopes to fill the void she was feeling, she found comfort in her knives again. Her confidence with her knives grew the attention of others. This attention may not have been from the best people to gain it from, but Karina soon found a place in the world with her knives and accepted it.
The comfort of this attention didn't last too long though as Karina knew it wasn't for the best, and after a couple of years of continuing this life, Karina decided that she wanted to move on from it and made her next move to America. She came across a city called Los Santos, and fell in love with the island. This time, she decided to keep her love and skills with knives more on a need-to-know basis and lived her life as a regular everyday civilian. She got a job as a mechanic in a small shop called Harmony Repairs and spent her nights hunting and fishing to get by. She made a good life for herself. As time went on, Karina learned she had a good eye for business and by making connections around Los Santos Karina has come to have many jobs, as well now own her own very successful business.

Dodo CEO Randy tells Karina that if she can put Flippy in his place she will get the position as CEO. Flippy comes down so Karina pulls him outside to talk. She appreciates his interest in the company but tells him to jump in the dumpster. Randy announces that the leader of Hydra Gang was dumped in the trash by the CEO of Dodo Logistics. Randy promotes her officially in the books, Karina seems to have figured out most of the training on her own. Karina says she likes to delegate work whenever possible, in order to increase teamwork and inclusivity in the workflow of the company. Randy talks about what they should do moving forward, have Turbo possibly run Karina through how he did things, and let her do it how she wants to, taking reference from how Turbo did it. They talk about which positions should get what kind of jobs. Karina wants to allow new people at the company to do more and make more money to award initiative. Alex Ron The Investor calls, Randy runs him through the news of Turbo quitting, he thinks he should meet Karina and invites him down to Dodo whenever he is free. Karina and Randy talk about the Day Delivery Drivers and how much work they are given. Randy tells her about personal deliveries that other companies can commission, he shows her the Dodo trucks for that and transfers her 3 vans and a cargo truck. |

On March 19, 2022, Karina led a Dodo Scavenger Hunt where the competitors had to find where each Dodo worker was hiding by solving riddles and photo clues; then utter the correct password and take a selfie at a specified location. The team of Sabith "Bunny" Cohen, Jeffy Coldiron, Vincent Tracoli, Kirk Jerkems, Xavier Valentine, and Nancy Drew raced around the city for two and a half hours and finally won the first place $100,000 prize. The second place winner got $35,000, and the third place winners got $15,000. |

On May 18th Karina was summoned to the dam to be met by a few HOA members such as Siz, Andi, Julio, Stanely, Freddy, and Kermy. Karina along with a few other of her HOB classmates was made officially HOA. To celebrate this each newly made HOA had to jump off the highest part of the dam into the stream below. On the 31st of August, when leaving the Liquid Library Karina noticed Toretti had stayed outside waiting for her to come to her car in his charger. Having Max with her, she knew not to do anything reckless. Once she drove up to the stop light, at one point she went 42 in a 35, and Toretti turned his lights and sirens on. Karina noticed that her car still had a fake plate from May the day before, so she had Max get out of the car, and she drives off. Karina, not confident in her driving, just kept driving around Mirror Park asking for help from fellow HOA on the radio. Eventually, after making a couple of laps around Mirror Park she was spiked. Stanley who was on standby picked her up in the Mclaren picked her up and he quickly broke the ankles of Carter who had joined in the chase. Karina and the rest of the HOA attempted to get her car back, but sadly it was transported faster than they could act and there were more cops than them. Stanley was spotted once again and starts being chased again. Unfortunately, Stanely was met with some unlucky locals and had a hard time escaping once again. With the car smoking, Stanely calls for Karina to be picked up and Rod locked picks a car to grab her in. In his attempt to save Karina, he ran right into a generator in the medium of the road and was solo-boxed by Crystal Clear. Both out on foot, Karina manages to break the first pair of cuffs but sadly not the second. She was transported to Bob Smith and officially charged for the first time with Reckless Evading, Vehicle Registration Fraud, Resisting Arrest, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Proper Identification. Before being sent up Karina told Toretti “It’s on sight now” Karina's Revenge The following day Karina, Kian, and Rod go to the SDSO police station as they have their meeting and storm it with bats. Kian runs in and manages to get both Toretti and another officer down, before running back to his car with Karina. The two didn't get far before the car was shot out and Karina and Kian had to run on foot. The two once again didn't get far before being shot down while running away. Toretti now back up starts taunting the two but soon is beaten down again by Rod before he is also shot down. Messing with the SDSO soon became a common occurrence for Karina. |
