Johanna Meyer is a character role-played by Nadette.
General Description[]
Johanna Blair Meyer-Davidson is a Manager for Down Under Dining, as well as an employee at various other businesses.
She was formerly a Dispatch FTO for the Los Santos Police Dispatch, Call-Sign Delta-1.
Following a brief stint working as a journalist and reporter for the Liberty City Post, Johanna returned to Los Santos for the first time since college, claiming that she was "keen for a change". She scarcely speaks of her life before the city, instead offering familial anecdotes from a timeless past.
Personality[]
Johanna is (when held in comparison to others in the city) aggressively normal; she comes from a rather humble and sheltered upbringing, where she was somewhat of an overachiever. She's openly friendly and is somewhat pleasant upon a shallow encounter with a stranger; this is a fact that she's well-aware of, and she often uses her perceived "passive" demeanour to her advantage.
Hard headed and extremely stubborn, she tends to stick to her gut. She’s selfless to a fault when it comes to her loved ones, and she’ll always put their wants and needs before her own. This is a two-way street; they can just as easily take advantage of her. Yet, there's more to her than what meets the eye. Her true feelings are often hidden behind her sense of humour; the only confrontation that she avoids is facing herself.
Working Life[]
After moving to Los Santos, she initially pursued a career with the Los Santos Broadcast Network, writing a single article for them as a freelancer about the Rising Terrorist Threat During The Electoral Period. For what she considered to be the 'full scoop', Richie Nickel challenged her to include a quote from a member of the Police Department.
For the next few days, Johanna found herself in the lobby of the Mission Row Police Department, awaiting anyone to give her the time of day. Frustrated with waiting around fruitlessly without a whisper, she made a heat of the moment decision to snag an application for the Dispatch Department. Shortly after this, she made the acquaintance of Crystal Clear, who introduced her to Lewis Collins - the quote for her first and last piece with LSBN was finally secured.
A couple of weeks flew past, in which Johanna made the acquaintance of Max Moody and Pact Nicely; a pair of workers from a Farmers Market booth known as Down Under Dining. Despite not initially pursuing a position with the business, she had a soft spot for reminiscing the joys of home in good company and she was brought on as a Sales Associate.
In pursuit of other stories, she also made an unlikely friend of Roman Shacks who advised her against working for LSBN; following a short investigation, the seeds of doubt came to fruition.
It was during this time that Johanna was left without direction that she was invited for an interview with Dispatch FTO Tommy Horver.
Unified PD Dispatch[]
Despite her investigative experience, Johanna has no intention of joining the Unified Police in any of its other departments, often stating her queasiness with blood and gore whenever the topic is brought up. Throughout the past through months, she's gained quite the love for the job and her colleagues, and aims to raise morale within Mission Row.
