Jaylen "Lamp Post" Carter Jr is a character role-played by Merald.

General Description[]

Jaylen Carter, also known by his street name "Lamp Post", is a founder and the leader of the Street Team. He is also a full member of Chang Gang—having received a CG chain on February 14th, 2022—and a member of the Vendetta racing crew. He took over H&O Exports after Hutch Hutcherson left the city to go to Russia for a few months and remained the main operator after Hutch returned. This means that he can often be seen providing cars to Ramee El-Rahman for Vultur Lé Culturé Imports.

Jaylen is best known for his willingness, always looking out for others and not standing for injustice; he is well respected with gangs across the city and has gained a name for himself for doing so. He is distinguishable from his black-skull face mask and black sunglasses, often occupied by a golden chain.

Along with his strong sense of loyalty, Jaylen is also known for his bluntness and short but well-thought-out remarks, partially due to English not being his first language.

After serving as the leader of Street Team for over a year, Jaylen stepped down on July 15, 2022. Wayne Biggz subsequently took over as temporary leader. Jaylen eventually returned to the position in late 2022 and remains the leader as of 2023.

In late October 2022 Jaylen decided he would propose to his long-time "roommate" Mari Posa. He bought an engagement ring on October 31, 2022. He finally proposed to her on November 26.

  • Jaylen was punched and almost shot by Mr. Kebun for not kneeling when Wayne Biggz first introduced Street Team to Chang Gang.
  • Jaylen gave his OG Street Team ring to Cheddar because he wanted one.
  • Jaylen took ownership of H&O Exports after Hutch Hutcherson initially left the city. The two work together to keep the business running.

  • Jaylen was technically a blooded-in member of The Families for awhile and sometimes hung out on their turf, but he no longer associates with them after a short conflict in May 2022.
  • Jaylen adopted a pet pug on October 24, 2022 and named it Shod, in honor of Lil Blicky, since he sounds like a chihuahua when arguing.
  • Jaylen proposed to Mari Posa on November 26th, 2022. He then proposed a 2nd time on November 27th, 2022.
