Jason Landry is a character role-played by TheBayouGamer.
General Information[]
Jason was raised just north of Houma Louisiana in a small country town.
He was raised as a good ole southern boy that was taught respect and raised with integrity. Growing up, Jason was a highly skilled track runner and caught the eyes of many colleges that wanted to pick him up for his extreme skill and endurance. Eventually Jason took a scholarship to LSU and began learning Criminal Justice due to his want to be a Police officer since a young age. After two years of Criminal Justice classes Jason had earned his degree in criminal justice and began his search for a department that would become his home.
Jason's Life Before Los Santos[]
Jason eventually came across a small Police Department in need of officers due to rampant crime in the area that was only getting worse. Jason was quickly hired into the department due to his knowledge and his score on the departments hiring test. Jason was introduced to his fellow officers and quickly made a bond with them. While Jason was a cadet (AKA Highlighter due to the high-vis vest he had to wear) he quickly made progress on his promotion tasks for Solo-Cadet and within a week, Jason had secured his promotion and continued to blaze his way through the Solo-Cadet promotion requirements to Full Officer and also gained that promotion within another three weeks.
During this time, Jason had come to learn of a high power criminal in the area by the name of Jay Days, who led a gang alongside his spouse Maya Weeks, both of which were considered a high risk to officers due to Jays previous experiences with the department. Jason soon experienced this when Mr. Days began a series of assaults on their department with multiple gang members across multiple days. on the second day of the assaults, the chief of police was shot in an execution style to send a message to the department as a message to stand down, while the chief was in the hospital, the department made the decision to begin a tactical division in response to the growing risk. On the third day, The department was once again under attack and the tactical team went into action, quickly gearing up with assault rifles and full tac gear, quickly taking the fight to the gang members positioned around the building. Mr. Days was apprehended during the shootout and brought into custody, while Mr. Days was in custody, an officer was kidnapped while clocking on duty and taken to the state prison where demands were made to release both a prisoner, and Mr. Days with the threat of killing the officer if their demands weren't met. Jason and AJ Jackson quickly arranged the release of both the prisoner and Mr. Days.
Jason was devastated after this, since it took all their power to just capture Mr. Days, only for him to evade his punishment so easily, Jason decided to hand in his badge the day after. While walking out of the department for the final time, Jason was shot from behind by and unknown attacker, to this day the gunman remains unidentified, but Jason is a firm believer that it was Mr. Days trying to get the last laugh in. Jason was in the ICU there where multiple surgeries attempted to remove the bullet since it was in close proximity of his spinal column, the surgeries were unsuccessful due to the difficulty of the surgery and the possibility of Jason becoming paralyzed if the surgery went awry. Jason was sent to rehab to attempt to learn to live with limited mobility from his injury. During this time Jason fully committed to leaving the PD lifestyle behind, unless he could get the bullet, a constant reminded of his past, removed.
Jason's Life in Los Santos (current)[]
Jason quickly became comfortable in his new home after leaving his old state behind. Jason attempted to become a mechanic at Mosleys but decided instead to attempt to become a part of the LSMG EMS division with the mindset that he may not be able to continue his service in the LSPD, but he could still be a first responder. Jason applied for EMS but after multiple weeks of waiting, decided to take another stab at a higher position, Jason decided to apply for the LSMG Doctor division, and was quickly hired. Jason is currently still a Dr with the LSMG and has no current plan to change his employment.
