Kelly had initially found work as a mechanic at Mosley's Auto under then-manager Irwin Dundee, whom he would grow an undying loyalty for, and followed him to Popular Motorworks after conflicts with his co-managers on January 13, 2024.
Dundee grew to like Kelly's personality, seeing a bit of himself in him, so he ended up inviting James Kelly and Tommy Puff to restart the Bondi Boys MC with him, allowing the two to become founding patched members on January 23, 2024.
While he isn't particularly good at driving, Kelly did bring a significant amount of energy to the club that "Camaros and Blickies" became an early club mantra.
Kelly was automatically promoted to Enforcer with the May 9, 2024 realignment.
