Background[]
Jamal decided that he wanted to leave Los Santos and chose to visit Jamerica. However, Jamal missed his flight and instead ended up in Liberty City. Luckily, he found a rapper by the name of "Jay-Z" and had dinner with him. As the months went by, Jamal would begin reminiscing about the times of the gang life, and his friends back home.
At some later date, the LCPD would launch an investigation into Jamal due to the lyrics in his music. His music contained depictions of murder, drug trafficking, and other felonious crimes. The LCPD would gather enough evidence to indict Jamal in a RICO case, and he was sentenced to serve 5 years in prison.
After serving his 5-year prison sentence, Jamal would return to Los Santos. He got hired to Snr. Buns, where he would mostly work short shifts from time to time. He befriended people like Beetlejuice, and reconnected with old friends like Larry Knox. Jamal became involved in petty crimes like sim card stealing, and 'fence trafficking', with The Besties. He befriended Maximilian Thoroughbred while working at the hospital, and attended a town hall at the Liquid Library in January 2024.

Jamal is a dim-witted cloudcuckoolander and a bountiful source of unintentional humor, but kind-hearted and well-meaning. He thinks creatively even if at times he is misinformed. He is also surprisingly skillful at getting to the true core of others’ answers when he asks them questions. For all his scams and criminal issues, he is generally helpful to everyone he meets.

Jamal had been making music prior to the collapse of Los Santos under the record label Lil Nuts Entertainment, and had garnered a surprisingly modest amount success in his amateur music career, despite his music being (self proclaimed) shitty. He's known for his overall poor music quality production, though this has became a popular and notorious staple for all of the songs he releases. Jamal usually freestyles all his songs; sometimes he'll sing about his strong emotions, like in Larry's Room, and sometimes he will rap about buying RPGs. There is no telling what you will get when hitting the play button on one of Jamal's songs, but that's what makes the listening experience unique. He would release his debut song 'State ID' during the month of April in 2023, and during that same month, he would go on to release his most popular song to date: 'LOCKPICK'. LOCKPICK (currently sitting at 21k plays) would be released as apart of the 'WHOLE LOTTA GULAG' EP on April 30th, 2023. Following this, Jamal would see a jump his plays, and three months later he would release another E.P, titled, 'Pink Tape'.
After retuning to Los Santos in the midst of its reopening, Jamal would befriend Mayor Maximilian Thoroughbred, who took an interest in his music. The mayor enjoyed Jamal's music so much that he asked him to make a campaign song for him (mrpresident.wav). During one of Maximilian's mayoral campaign Q&A's, he asked Jamal to perform a set at during it. After the performance, Wu-Chang Records founder Mr.K took an interest in Jamal and offered to sign him to his record label. Jamal took up the offer, and on January 12th, 2024, he would officially become Wu-Chang's second ever signed artist.
