Internal Affairs is a division within the law enforcement agencies that investigates incidents and civilian reports of law-breaking and professional misconduct. The division is made up of officers from within the Los Santos Police Department and the Blaine County Sheriff's Office.
General Description[]
The head of Internal Affairs is LSPD Sergeant, Owen Svensen, with all other investigators holding equal responsibility within their role.
The Internal Affairs investigators conduct interviews with the civilians and officers involved; documenting everything, taking physical evidence, and keeping past misbehaviors of the officer in question in mind.
Internal Affairs investigators will then hold a meeting with the officer in question, and take notes on their side of the story. After the investigator(s) compare stories and make a decision, a final meeting is held with the officer to determine if any punishment will be issued.
