Guild Hall, also known as Hardcore Comic Store, is a comic store run and co-owned by The Guild. It is located across the street from Rooster's Rest.

History[]

The comic store started as a secret long-term project of Yeager's that he kept hidden from the public and to some extent even his Guild members. This would later result in tension with Lang Buddha who felt offended by his son and the nerds starting a business without his knowledge.

Yeager, being one of the wealthiest Guild members, was the financial driving force behind the comic store. On June 26th, 2021, he officially invested his savings into the construction of the store and became the owner. Construction finished on June 27th and the new building was unveiled. For the first time, Guild members and other visitors were allowed to see store. After the reveal, the comic store gradually started opening its doors for customers and added more and more services, starting with card grading.

Yeager remains the main owner of the business with a share of 51%. The other 49% are split among the rest of the Guild members. The store is meant to stay a Guild-only business and outsiders won't be able to buy shares.

In July, Yeager bought the PCA grading rights from Vultur Lé Culturé, allowing the comic store to take over toy grading in addition to card grading.

A large portion of the store's profits was made in the span of just two days in September 2021. Among Guild members, this incident is often referred to as the "card boom" or "card crash." During this time period, card sellers offered a discount for booster packs. This made it viable to bulk buy packs and sell the cards to the Guild Hall with a guaranteed profit. Many people became aware of this. While business had been slow in the previous months, the store was now filled with customers. The Guild Hall made a profit of around two million dollars in two days before the card economy crashed. After the crash, the public lost all interest in cards and business came to a halt. With the release of new trading cards being postponed indefinitely, the Guild Hall has had virtually no customers since.

Services[]

Card Grading[]

The comic store offers card gradings for rare, holo, and reverse holo cards from the NoPixel Trading Card Game. Customers can also sell unwanted common cards to the store.

Bounty Board[]

Additionally, the store has a bounty system where customers get rewarded for turning in exceptionally rare cards. Every day, an employee takes the whole deck of trading cards, shuffles it and pulls six random cards. These cards are put up on the bounty board. Anyone who owns a rare and well-preserved version of one or multiple of these cards can then collect a bounty.

Toy Grading[]

Collectible toys can now be graded at the Guild Hall instead of the gallery.

Comics[]

Artists and writers can submit their comics books and have the Guild Hall publish and print them. This part of the business is also known as the "Writers' Guild." Clients receive 80% of all proceeds, the Guild Hall keeps 20%. There are also plans to let customers commission custom-made comics.

Prank Food Menu[]

The store offers a snack and a beverage that cause a stomach ache and diarrhea when consumed.

  • Dwarven Rock Cake
  • Sinister Brew

Criminal Activity[]

The comic store serves as a front for an arms trafficking and money laundering operation run by The Guild. Regular employees are not involved in this and not aware of it. Through the office, the store is connected to a dungeon that The Guild keeps secret from the public. This dungeon is where secret meetings are held and where a special workbench is kept. This workbench is used to manufacture suppressors, rocket launchers, and explosives, among other illegal items. Guild members distribute these to criminals around the city or keep them for personal use.
