The Great Republic of Grapeseed is a government started in 2024 by Mumbles Fumbles.
Description[]
The Great Republic of Grapeseed was created by Mumbles Fumbles to oversee the town of Grapeseed and surrounding area, which Mumbles believed was neglected by the governments of Blaine County and City of Los Santos. The Republic aspires to be a self-governing state, separate from the rest of the island, and has implemented various civil services to achieve that end, led by various clowns and associates.
The Republic was formed in the aftermath of the disbanded Clowncil and New Clown Order. With Chatterbox having no desire to ever lead anything again, Mumbles, along with other clowns such as Ember Quinn, his brother Stumbles Fumbles, and Tessa Lamb, began work on the political entity.
The Republic's operations take place in The Funhouse's basement, which also serves as a jail.
Eventually, Kyle Pred made Mumbles deputy mayor of Blaine County while he remained absent from the city. While this happened, Mumbles and Princess Elena decided to get married as a diplomatic alliance, as she was the other remaining deputy mayor and acting mayor in Pred's absence. However, Princess was suspended from her position after publicly announcing a bounty for the mime Thor McWave, leaving Mumbles as the remaining deputy mayor alongside Delver Lee. Mumbles now oversaw all of Blaine County, not just Grapeseed, in a considerably more official capacity. This coincided with his announcement to run for mayor at the Grapeseed Games.
Dissolution[]
Mumbles won the mayor election, and assumed the role immediately, with a strong focus on the Grapeseed community. A few weeks later, the Grapeseed offices under the Funhouse were dismantled, without Mumbles' knowledge, to be replaced by new Funhouse infrastructure designed by Chatterbox and Tessa.
Banned from Grapeseed[]
Mumbles routinely made declarations of who or what was banned from Grapeseed, usually posting on Twatter. Some of these included:
- The British
- Los Santos Police Department
- Space aliens
- ERP
- Whoever last impounded Mumbles' car
Opposition[]
On December 13th, 2024, as part of the ruling during a criminal trial for Ember Quinn, Judge Nathaniel Greyson declared the Republic was not constitutionally valid and no citizens of Grapeseed had the authority to detain others, after Ember used it as a defense in her trial.
