Description[]
Giovanna Gambino, addressed as Gigi, is the Treasurer of the Cypress crime syndicate. Though she only came to the city in December 2023, she cultivated enormous respect from her friends and peers due to her intelligence, sarcastic nature, friendly banter, and no-bullshit attitude. She was previously a Resident for Los Santos Medical Group.
Background[]
A former tech worker and member of the Gambino crime family, Gigi moved to Los Santos from Liberty City to get away from her old life of crime after her ex-husband fell on her knife several times.
Appearance & Personality[]
Gigi is 6 feet tall and physically fit. She normally wears her long brunette hair in a ponytail, though at times she exposes an unfortunate scalp condition when styling her hair into twin buns. Her sharp features give her an intense appearance at times, which she tempers by wearing large-framed dark sunglasses.
When aboveground, her outfits normally consist of business-appropriate attire. She prefers the tallest footwear possible in order to gain a height advantage to those around her. At times she dons activity-specific outfits, such as her various Yuno disguises or Totally Not Gigi sewer outfit.
Gigi is practical and logical to a fault. She thrives on logistics, problem solving, finding efficiency, and raising productivity. In her downtime she is often found playing roguelike and roguelite video games. Gigi does not hold back her thoughts on any situation, especially if it's funny. Her candor when discussing difficult topics is widely appreciated.
Activities[]
Treasurer[]
Gigi is the current Treasurer (not accountant) for Cypress. She maintains "the spreadsheet" that directs all payments in and out of the organization. All activity is tracked through her. Though she is not a Don, she acts in partnership with them to manage the finances and acts as a senior advisor to the Dons. Her position in the organization is preferably kept low-profile.
In addition to her financial duties, Gigi is looked to as a communicator and mediator.
Moonshine[]
Gigi is the leader of the Moonshine operation for Cypress. She finds satisfaction working out recipes and production strategies for moonshine. When stills were first discovered, she worked with Harry Brown to develop her process. During that time, she met Donnie Jones, who worked with her on moonshine production into the development of advanced stills and farming until his bloodout. She currently runs the op with Jacyn Todd.
Farming[]
Since the introduction of farming, Gigi has focused much of her efforts on understanding the mechanics of breeding and growing resources for moonshine and food production. Early in the development process, Gigi would often sequester herself from the rest of the crew, going "off the grid". She manages the main Cypress Flats warehouse and directs a small cadre of farmers.
Sewers[]
Upon discovering moonshine as a pipeline, Gigi spent a considerable amount of time in the sewer community. She would often subsist on Old Water, Rotten Fruit, and Old Corn. Gigi has tried to maintain sewer rep high enough that she is healed when venturing down low. She shares her sewer-sourced food with friends and colleagues, often eliciting a disgusted reaction.
Heists[]
Gigi has proven herself as a competent hacker and is a trusted member of the Cypress main heist crew. While being too old to effectively break washing machines, she is useful in non-typing-based hacking operations. She sometimes changes her voice to a high-pitched and warbled version of her normal voice.
Grinding[]
Gigi has high rep in Grime, which she focused on after partnering with Tony Corleone, enjoying the calm drives and yapping. She owns both a Packer and Pounder, which she bought with Tony. Tony originally held the titles, but due to his late payment for the purchase of the trucks, she claimed ownership. Gigi does not have high rep in Groupe 6, but has accompanied friends on Tier 3 jobs. Gigi is an avid hunting party member when the payout is high. Gigi works at Frank's whenever she is needed there.
Gigi has worked Sanitation and Snr Buns, but has not signed in to either for some time.

Life in Los Santos[]
As soon as Gigi arrived in Los Santos, she went to task finding work. While trying Grime, she was robbed by Jean Paul and Ray Romanov, resulting in her stabbing after attempting to run. Gigi would run into Tony and Yuno several times throughout her first day, establishing their friendship. During that first day, Yuno convinced her to visit the Kraken. She obliged, and nearly drowned. Were it not for Yuno's bravery in her rescue, she surely would have been forever lost to the sea.
Gigi and Tony began doing Grime runs together, quickly forming a partnership that lasts to this day. Tony immediately recognized Gigi's intelligence and ability. After the formation of Cypress, Tony was quick to recommend Gigi as an associate, though the introduction and initiation would not happen for some time.
In her first days in the city, Gigi quickly learned the value of listening. It was not long before a clear picture of the city's main criminal elements and which of her friends were involved formed. Through continued conversation with Tony, she was eventually invited to buy in to Cypress. Gigi recognized the need for competent administrative skills, and offered her skills in planning and logistics to the crew. To prove her value, she developed a system to track and pay out money from all of the crew's criminal enterprises. The Dons were impressed by her work.
Arush asked to step down from his position as treasurer, and Gigi was asked to take on that role. She accepted and immediately went to work organizing the crew's money. Her status in the organization grants her immediate access to all of the Dons, and she is regularly invited to their meetings.
While medical work was a high-paying job, Gigi applied and was accepted to the Intern program at Los Santos Medical Group. The move was both lucrative and a way to access medical supplies. She intended to leverage her position as a doctor with any crew she was with, being careful to avoid felonies in order to keep the job.
As soon as moonshine production was discovered, Gigi dove in. Quickly the sewers took her. Eventually her time in the sewers would be enough to heal her.
Gigi purchased an Issi as her personal vehicle, promptly painting it a dark shade of metallic brown and dubbing it the Mini Pooper.
