Finn Anderson is a character role-played by Semtechs.
General Description[]
Finn Anderson is a Senior Corrections Officer for the Department of Corrections , Badge #798.
Background Information[]
Finn is a 24 year old from a small town in the Scottish Highlands. He is ex-military and moved over to Los Santos to get away from what happened to both his squadron and family while he was employed by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. His former Commander betrayed his regiment in what they thought was a routine operation in the Middle East, leading them into a trap, where every member under his command perished. He somehow managed to escape the incident under insurmountable odds, making it back to his hometown, Dingwall, to let his parents know the truth. However, when he finally made it to the family home, he found his Father and Mother both DOA, while the inside of the house was barely recognisable.
Finn always had a love for the army/military, telling his Father when he was a wee lad that he wanted to join it when he turned 18. He had a fascination for toy guns and in any sport that he played, he was considered a true leader that could inspire those around him both on/off the field. This led to Finn joining the territorial army as a cadet when he turned 16 years of age to gain experience, before being brought into the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards when he was 18 years old. He became the youngest ever Captain in history of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards at 22 years old, having excelled throughout his tenure there, showcasing his leadership abilities and quick decision making. While in the military, Finn studied Psychology through the Open University, so that he could have a career in a different field if something happened to him while on duty.
Finn has always been a people person, wanting to protect those who cannot defend themselves but after the events that transpired, he has trust issues and is very wary to open up to people. His confidence is severely dented and he has no idea how he will adjust to life outwith the military, to which he considered his home and extended family for the past 6 years.
Knowing what happened, after confiding in his cousin Jock McTavish, who works as a taxi driver in the city for Abdul's Taxi Service, Jock asked him to fly over to Los Santos so he could escape what happened and to start a brand new life.
Personality[]
Finn is a very honest and blunt individual, always willing to speak for those who perhaps do not have the confidence to speak for themselves. He is a true leader who always sees the good in people and knows when to pick people up if they perhaps don't see the best in themselves. He is very charismatic but cheeky when he speaks to others, he is the type of person you can put into a room full of strangers and he would speak to every single one of them.
Although cheeky at times, Finn respects others, especially the chain of command when it comes to any job(s). He was never close to his real family, having seen his Dad gamble away the family's money, while his Mother was not a very pleasant woman. He considered his military family his 'real' family, having made lots of close friendships with those in his squad. Loyalty is a key attribute that describes Finn and it is one of the most sought after things he looks for when speaking to others.
He does not know how to be a regular person living a normal life, due to having been part of the military since he was 16, with all his focus on improving himself and gaining promotions within the ranks. When people speak about 'normal' every day things, Finn sometimes just plays along, because he has no idea what they are talking about, having mostly been on deployment and not wanting to come home for the better part of 6 years.
Death[]
On July 12th, 2023, Finn's mother Lotte Bryant received an email from the Northern Constabulary of Scotland, addressed to herself and Jon Castle, informing them of the discovery of the remains of Finn. The constabulary believe that he had been murdered by the same people who killed his biological parents. Finn's body was found in an unrecognisable state and was identified via DNA test.
Finn was found with very little on his person, bar several personal photos, including family photos with his Mum and Dad, and those of his close friends in the Los Santos Department of Corrections.
A memorial is being planned for him, by his father.
