Jim Underwood is a Deputy for the Senora Desert Sheriff's Office, Badge #937.
He was formerly a Senior Trooper Sergeant for the San Andreas State Police, Badge #237, and before that a Sergeant for the Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office, Badge #337'.
Underwood is an American-born officer in his late 30's. He is dedicated to the law, taking personal offense when he sees his fellow officers being harmed. Jim is not shy to being upfront and direct with those that confront him; telling others exactly how he feels.

- Despite being entirely new to pursuit driving, it has been noted by multiple FTO's that Underwood is weirdly capable of driving the PD Vehicles and that it's almost like he's had previous experience with them.
- While once attempting to open a bottle of water, which left neither of his hands free, Underwood chose to utilize his penis to operate his squad car's steering wheel which unsurprisingly immediately resulted in a severe vehicle accident, Underwood being ejaculated from the vehicle, and his penis being completely severed from his body.
