Relationships[]

Relationships

Bobby Smith
Ever since they met, Toretti and Bobby Smith always had a complicated relationship. Bobby frequently gave him strike points and threatened to fire him, but Toretti always respected him and looked at him as a mentor. After they started patrolling together they've become more friendlier with each other and Toretti even got the title of "Assistant to the Chief of Police", which he claims that makes him second in line to Chief of Police rank, after Thomas Metzger.
After Bobby's return to the city after he left for a seminar in Denver, Toretti was on the first people from the Police Department to see Bobby again. After learning that Toretti got promoted to Snr. Officer, he told Trooper Jackie Snow that the Police Department was gone on a downfall. Toretti was also one of the first to help Bobby on his crusade against the Department of Justice after his Camaro got repossessed. Eventually both of them started once again to patrol together when they're on shift together and even had Thai food and movie night together.
Brenda Pancake
After Toretti pleaded the fifth and walked out of the courthouse during Bo Tucker's murder trial, Brenda Pancake was the only person who came to talk to him. During the talk she explained that she had had a similar experience some time ago and that because she knew how he felt she was going to be on his side and help him, this gave Toretti the confidence to return to the courtroom. Since then they seem to respect each other as Toretti considers her a "good egg" and one of the few people who are really on his side. After receiving approval by from Sergeant Owen Svensen to FTO a cadet as part of a trial run, Pancake was the cadet Toretti trained. When the session ended, Toretti signed her off in negotiations and Brenda told him that he was a good FTO and hoped he would actually get certified. Once Toretti was promoted to Snr. Officer and FTO, Pancakes was the first cadet he had FTO time with.
On September 26th, 2020 Toretti served as an officer advocate for an IA complaint made by Sgt. Sam Baas against Pancakes about unprofessionalism in the workplace. After IA officer Lance Malton reviewed the complaint and listened to both Pancakes and Toretti defense, they decided to not proceed with the complaint, but they ordered Pancake to see a psychologist since Malton believed that she may had “Daddy Issues”. Brenda and Toretti both came up to the conclusion that Baas most likely had a personal vendetta against her and that he wanted her being striked for her mistakes. Later that night, Mervin Potts was performing an illegal surgery on a patient at Pillbox Medical. While trying to detain him, a deaf security guard intervened in the pursuit by pushing Pancakes. The guard continued to follow them to the middle of Elgin Avenue until Pancakes in good faith strike him with a flashlight, believing that he was obstructing justice.
While the scene was being secured, Brenda and Toretti went to the courthouse to speak with a judge, hoping to get Brenda a restraining order against Baas since they thought he probably had a vendetta against her. After the Chief Justice Katya Zamalodchikova asked for Baas presence for a hearing, they returned to MRPD. While they were at the courthouse, the doctors pronounced the security guard dead after being checked out by them. The Chief of Police Bobby Smith and Sgt. Baas fearing that excessive force was used while handling the guard suspended Brenda indefinitely while an IA investigation was conducted. Toretti believing that Baas was biased in the situation tried to cheer up Brenda by saying that he was going to take care about it and talk to Bobby about her suspension. Brenda told Toretti that he was being a bro, but she didn't believe that he was her friend. Toretti reminded her that she was the only one that supported him during the murder trial of Bo Tucker, so he would return the favor and helped her during her suspension.
Toretti would eventually talk to Bobby and Baas about the situation and how he believed that Baas was going after her. Bobby told Toretti to talk to IA about the suspension since it was IA call. After calling Malton into the city, they discussed the situation, Toretti defended her by saying that the suspension was unjustified and that she was only doing her job. Malton agreed and said that he just needed to interview her to clear her from the IA investigation. Two days later Toretti once again defended her after hearing that Baas was supposedly firing her. An IA interview ensued to finalize the investigation against Brenda which resulted in the suspension being removed, but retraining in the use of force matrix and a mandatory therapy session was ordered.
Brian Knight - Adopted Brother
Although their relationship deteriorated after Bo Tucker's death, they're still brothers.
BrianAndTorettiSWAT

Brian and Toretti in SWAT uniforms

Many are the memories of only him and Brian Knight on duty, having to hold the streets of Los Santos. Memorable is the time when they patrolled the streets of Los Santos in an Armored Van to ask the citizens to not commit crimes since they were the only ones on duty.
Brittany Angel - Adoptive Mother
Brittany Angel is Toretti's adoptive mother. She was the first person who Toretti did a ride-along as well his first FTO session in the force. Angel often backs up Toretti, but also is one of the first to call him an idiot when he messes up. Despite clashes between them, Toretti frequently goes to her to ask for advice and when he's in trouble he often calls for his mom.
Francis J Francer
After what seemed to be a rivalry between him and Francis J Francer, their relationship changed with time. Francis has also said, and I quote: "I don't like women, I like you Toretti. I'm gay you". They are often seen arguing when Francis comes on duty and they sometimes patrol together. This usually doesn't end very well.
Johnny Divine
Johnny Divine is one of Toretti's friends alongside Lance Malton, together they formed the "Tripod of NA". Toretti and Divine first met when both of them were cadets. Divine was Toretti's first cadet that he FTO when he was a solo cadet, after the Chief of Police Bobby Smith ordered him to take him. If Toretti is not patrolling with Malton he most likely is riding with Divine.
Kyle Pred - Adoptive Father
Kyle Pred is Toretti's adoptive father. He often tells Toretti that he was the child he didn't want and that Brian Knight is the best son. Pred is often harsh against Toretti, if something bad happens to one of his brothers Pred will often say that he wished it was Toretti instead of them, but when it's convenient, he tells that he is Toretti's father.
Lance Malton - Patrol Buddies
Toretti looks at Lance Malton as one of the few officers that are truly by his side since he was the only one that didn't throw him under the bus in the Bodean Tucker Murder Case. They almost always patrol together to enforce traffic laws, pursue active investigations, and catch house robbers in the south side. Malton stated that he's going to try and help him achieve Senior Officer status and hopefully even Joint Task Force. The 4th of July Toretti finally got promoted to Senior Officer so, the last step for him would be to join the JTF. On November 16th Toretti was invited into the Joint Task Force.

"Made by OJT"

They also had a conversation where they agreed that themselves, Brian, and Bobby are the faces of the NA shift. Toretti is also a member of Malton's Motorcycles and he joined right after getting promoted to Officer. Right now they're working on the Street Racing Scene, trying to get pictures of plates, people, and money exchanges. They also frequently go unmarked at night to catch House Robbers in the South Side. Owen Svensen has stated that Malton and Toretti together as Senior Officers would result as "One Sergeant" for the NA shift. Malton alongside Toretti and Johnny Divine is part of the newly formed Tripod of NA.

Emma Dupont
Toretti's relationship with Emma Dupont is similar to the one he has with Olivia Copper in terms of arguing, but they mostly get along during their patrols together. Dupont often calls Toretti adorable and other similar remarks, but she often alludes that she does it since she believes one day Toretti is going to snap and kill the entire department and she doesn't want end up a victim of it. After a fight with Copper, Toretti partnered up with Dupont, but she immediately called Copper to ask her if she had ever gone to Toretti's house.
Kevin Keyte
Toretti and Kevin have always had a weird relationship from their time as Dispatch until Kevin became a cadet in the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. Toretti along with the PD often made fun of Kevin, but in the end there was always some kind of mutual respect. When Kevin Keyte became a cadet, Toretti was one of his main FTOs, this led the development of a more respectful relationship, with Toretti constantly saying that he would be a good cop and asking Command members to give him a final eval. When Toretti learned that Kevin's final eval kept getting delayed, he was the main FTO advocating to get him one and asking Command members to do one for him. People often compare Kevin to Toretti, sometimes calling him Toretti 2.0 due to his tendency to be a punching bag, to be yelled at, and because of his police work, this has led Toretti to understand Kevin's position within the PD, and to share with him stories from his days as a cadet by telling him about how he was often yelled at, how he was also the punching bag for some people and how they forgot him as a cadet.
Mina Price
Mina Price was one of the new cadets in the September 2020 Police Academy, during the Academy Toretti was one of her instructors for PC and RS, and he also helped her during the extra Police training sessions. On September 27 Toretti was Price's FTO, during their shift Toretti would often defend her against people trying to flirt with her, seeing her as a daughter. When Anthony Copleone tried to make advances on Mina, by inviting her out for dinner, Toretti would stare at him and often tell Mina if she was okay with the situation.
Copleone developed the belief that Mina was trying to go out with Toretti after being rejected by Mina. Copleone confronted Toretti, giving him a heads up about it, but Toretti mentioned that he was married and that Mina was more like a daughter to him. Toretti's behavior continued days after, when Dan Faily tried to talk to her in private, to what Toretti immediately asked what were Dan's intentions with her and to leave her alone.
Randy Wrangler - Bestfriend
After riding together only one time, they quickly created a strong bond. At the hospital, while ' was being treated, Bryce Miller' fiddled with the IV and inserted some White Claw in it, which resulted in him going to the Intensive Care Unit after crashing his Taurus while being life-threatening drunk. Toretti tried to push charges against Bryce for Terrorism but the DA refused to, saying that only if this happens again he might. They sometimes patrol together and it usually results in chaos.
Rocko Colombo - Bro
When they are both on duty you will most likely see them patrolling together. Rocko Colombo is one of the few that Toretti actually considers a "partner". You could say that their relationship is almost a Bromance. Even though he doesn't say it, Rocko thinks of Toretti as a good Officer. While together they often joke about criminals complaining about how "cops aren't fun" and they will repeatedly say "Bro" or "Dude", especially during chases.
Rocko is the one that officially promoted Toretti to Senior Officer and FTO.
Tessa Lamb
When Toretti was a cadet, he alongside Richard Dark tried to convict Tessa Lamb of drug trafficking after Kiki Chanel planted the drugs found. Lamb was upset that Toretti trying was trying to convict her, and she didn't appreciate Toretti making comments about her being a drug trafficker during a court case. Lamb was filing a defamation lawsuit, but she eventually dismissed it.
When Tessa Lamb joined the Los Santos Police Dispatch, on her weeks as a Dispatch, Toretti would often remark that he was only doing his job as a cadet in investigating Kiki Chanel's claims of her being a drug lord. Toretti's relationship with Tessa would continue to improve during her time as dispatch.
When Tessa Lamb was accepted into Police Academy, Toretti congratulated her and wished her good luck in it. Once Tessa passed Academy, her first shift and FTO session was with Toretti, as well her last session before getting her solo certification. Toretti signed her off on comms and told Sgt. Lance Malton to give her the solo eval quiz. Before leaving Tessa with Malton, Toretti told her that she's will be great deputy. Toretti has been helping Tessa with the investigation of the serial killer known as the "Tramp", being her contact in the Joint Task Force. Together they have been working on the case trying to find the serial killer and put him behind bars.

Olivia Copper - ?
Toretti and Olivia Copper have probably one of the more confusing relationships: even though she often insults his police work, she is also one of the few Officers that acknowledged how he can be very good and one of the only people that pressed Bobby Smith to promote him. She has also defended him numerous times, both with words and batons or flashlight, even though you would think she doesn't care about him at all. Copper also frequently throws him under the bus by twisting various situations which often results in him going in trouble. Toretti often alludes that he and Copper are together by saying something along the lines: "Did you feed the cat this morning?" or "I'll see you home tonight". She has always denied everything has ever happened, even though messages from February say otherwise.[1] Toretti stated that they had a "fall-off" but Copper rebutted by saying that there wasn't anything to begin with. They rarely patrol together and when they do it almost always ends up in them arguing/bantering, with them criticizing each other's work: from the driving, to the shooting, to every little thing, until one of the other either goes off-duty or rides with someone else, with the banter continuing throughout the whole shift. They only real argument they have is always about Toretti "running his mouth" to other people by saying that they're in some sort of relationship. Toretti also gets weirdly jealous whenever Copper talks about his "boyfriends": he'll usually storm off while saying something like: "I don't wanna hear it". It even gets weirder because Copper seems to do this purposely to make him jealous, even by going into details.

Alexander Campbell - Adopted Son
After a store robbery on Clinton Avenue, Toretti chased the robbers and eventually caught one of them, this robber was Alexander Campbell. During the transport to MRPD Campbell explained that he supposedly called Cassie Cupcakes his mom and that he would start calling Toretti his dad. Since then Alexander has been calling Toretti his dad and always asks for his allowance when he's around.
On July 24th, 2020 Toretti took Alex on a ride-along as a part of a fake "Take your son to work day" since the city was quiet and he was one of two officers around. During the ride-along Toretti told Alex that he was going to divorce Cassie soon and that he would still support him during the divorce. The same day, Toretti took Alex to the YMCA with Becky and Debbie Hopper. While spending their time in the YMCA, Toretti and Alex spent some father-son time and went to a roller coaster on the Del Perro Pier. Later that day, Alex introduced his boyfriend Louis Baton to Toretti, trying to be a protective father Toretti asked what his intentions were with Alex and told him if he hurts Alex in any way he would murder him and bury him in the ocean. On July 27, 2020 Toretti demanded to talk to his son Alex, Claire Seducer denied the request and told him that Alex wasn't his son. With this new information Toretti told Alex that it he wasn't his father, but Alex still called him father afterwards.
Although Toretti told Alex that the father-son relationship was over, both of them keep calling each other dad and son afterwards. On July 31, 2020 Toretti used Alex as an intermediary to attract James Apeller and August Vakarian, at the same time Alex was being reprimanded by the Angels for not doing anything after Louis stabbed Cassie. Since Alex thought that he was going to be murdered by the Angels he told his dad during a phone call that he was going to be away for a long time and that he loved him, which Toretti surprised eventually said it back in a text. When Alex called back, Toretti was relieved to hear he was alive, but at the same time Alex baited Toretti to show up at the Tuner Shop where Cassie Cupcakes stabbed him.
Cassie Cupcakes - Wife
What started as flirting and asking for a date, it ended up in a engagement and marriage with Cassie Cupcakes. On March 4th, 2020 Cassie forced Toretti to marry her at gunpoint with Eugene Zuckerberg presiding the ceremony. After getting married Cassie and Toretti don't get to see each other often, but when they do they mostly spend time arguing if he's cheating on her or asking for money. For a while Cassie has been looking for a way to divorce Toretti so she can take all his money and possessions, but after Toretti took some time away from the city, they rarely see each other.
After Toretti's return to the city he has claimed that he will divorce her, but he always denies the divorce when Cassie asks about it. After Toretti mentioned the divorce, Cassie threatened him with scooping his eyeballs out and killing him. During an attempted prison break, Cassie made Toretti believe that she was pregnant and that if she divorces her, he would need to pay child support. Since then both of them claim that they will divorce each other, but nothing has happened.
On July 24th, 2020 while Cassie was in the cells of MRPD after a brief encounter with Mike Block, confronted Toretti and mentioned to him that she wanted a divorce. Toretti told her that if she really wanted it after all he has done for her (like giving her money), but Cassie told him she tweeted that she needed help since Mike kidnapped her and he didn't come to help her. Toretti mentioned that he asked his superior if he could leave to help her, but his request was denied. Eventually Toretti released Cassie from custody without charging her, but she still stood by her comment that it was over.
On August 7th, 2020 Mike Block attacked Cassie during the HOA vs. Angels family feud night. While attacking Cassie, Block mentioned that it was a hit put out by Toretti and that he was asking for a divorce. Days before the incident Toretti, under the impression that he would help Mike's son, Holden D. Block get eye surgery, gave Mike money to help finance the surgery. After he gave the money to Mike, he immediately told him he would help him get a divorce which led to the incident.
On August 17th, 2020 Cassie threatened Toretti in front of his mother Brittany Angel and his brother Vladimir Reznik with repercussions for the hit. Toretti apologized to Cassie and told her he didn't put out a hit on her, but she still made the promise of repercussions for his action.
Although, Toretti has been mentioning that he will soon divorce her, he always ends up taking care of his wife. When Cassie Cupcakes ended up in ICU after a mental breakdown, Toretti tried to be there and help her while she was conscious. After Cassie passed out, Toretti made sure the doctors at Pillbox Medical took care of her and provided her with proper care. Once Cassie left the ICU, Toretti and Cassie had a confrontation at gunpoint, during the standoff Cassie confronted Toretti for not being around, to which Toretti replied that he was with her during his incident in ICU and he was worried for her. Toretti made Cassie lower the gun, but she escaped from police custody.
On December 16th, 2020, during a court case, judges were shown a photo of Toretti hugging Hope Carter this picture was later shown to his wife Cassie, as a way to punish Toretti, they ordered him to text his wife every day and to not divorce her, instead they should find a way to fix their relationship. Since that day, Cassie has been looking for a way to divorce Toretti. On December 19th, 2020, Cassie formulated a plan for Toretti to cheat on her so that she could divorce him and obtain financial compensation for it. Cassie sent Lana Valentine to flirt with Toretti while she was around the area. Lana proceeded to interrupt a bench trial by yelling at Toretti that she didn't know he was married and took him away into a more discreet section of the building, there Lana tried to get Toretti to say that he cheated on his wife and kept flirting with him. After Toretti continued to say he was married and he wouldn't do anything, Cassie told Lana on the radio to kiss him so she could see him cheating on her. Lana proceeded to kiss him to which Cassie started yelling at him about how he always cheats on her and that the marriage was over. Toretti, after processing what happened, told the bench trial attendees that he was getting divorced and tweeted that he was single.
Chasity Dawes
Chasity Dawes and Toretti first made contact during the raid led by Lauren Forcer, while being transported from Bolingbroke Penitentiary to her apartments she told Toretti that earlier that day she had contacted him after someone told her to do so. After the raid, Toretti asked Dawes in the cells of MRPD who was her friend to which Dawes answered that was someone who believed that water was sand.
After Lauren Forcer found a USB drive regarding the Smileys, one of the contents was addressed towards Toretti which invited him to take part in the investigation. Days after, Dawes told Toretti that he was the one that got called and was joining the Smileys. After Toretti questioned her about the information Dawes told him if he has ever been smiled at and gave Toretti her phone number.
Choi Zhangsun
Initially Doctor Choi Zhangsun and Toretti often clashed with each other until Choi discovered that being nice to him and giving him compliments made him not know how to react to the situation. From a hostile relationship that included Toretti trying to 51-50'd her and trying to give her the charge of terrorism based on the Garage T and T-Boys investigation it went to a smooth and friendly relationship and now Toretti tries to protect her from any situation that might put her in danger.
Claire Seducer
Toretti and Claire Seducer will often try to make each other's life impossible by either yelling to each other or by trying to ruin each other's day. Toretti will often pull over Claire for speeding, tints, minor infractions and some times just to verify that she has a license. Toretti often mentions to his co-workers that nothing makes him happier than putting Claire in jail. During a court case for a traffic infraction, Claire mentioned under oath that she had sex with Toretti, although she only said it to save Cassie Cupcakes from the infraction. Toretti will also claim that she hates Claire, but he has asked her out for dinner several times.
Fiona Stewart
Toretti often pulls over Fiona Stewart for speeding across the city. During the traffic stops, Toretti often tries to flirt with her, asking her out for dinner and to come by his mansion on the Vinewood Hills. Fiona claims that Toretti once implied that he would drop charges if she went out with him, to which Toretti denies.
As a countermeasure against traffic tickets, Fiona developed the strategy to flirt with Toretti. During the traffic stops she will often allude that she finds Toretti attractive, and that she does five squats for him. Most of the times the strategy results in Fiona getting verbal warnings or receiving money to cover the fine.
James Apeller
Toretti will often find a way to arrest James Apeller, their relationship often ends up with Toretti being held up hostage, shot or kidnapped by "Apples" and the Lot Q employees. Knowing how Apples operates, Toretti will often predict how they would react at certain situations or the locations that he might go. Toretti will spend part of his shift looking over at Garage Q to see if "Apples" is provoking chaos around.
Apeller is married to August Vakarian, an individual who Toretii had previously slept with. When Toretti sees both "Apples" and August together he will often make remarks about stealing his wife or about going out in a date with her.
Lana Valentine
Toretti and Lana Valentine's relationship is unique. Before the death of Bodean Tucker, Lana would often flirt with Toretti to get money out of him, but also called him one of her only friends in the city since he was willing to talk to her. She would often call Toretti to ask him how he was doing and at the same time she manipulated him for more money. After Toretti returned to the city, Toretti told Lana, who was waiting in the lobby of MRPD, that she was one of the few people that said that they missed him. After a brief talk, she asked for a ride to Pillbox Medical since she was looking to talk with Tucker, on the way to the hospital Tucker returned to MRPD, so Toretti drove her back to the station. A brief discussion with Tucker ensued which resulted in Lana accidentally killing Bo Tucker after she punched him in the back of the head. Video footage recorded on scene by Kyle Winters of Live: PD showed that Toretti drove Lana up to MRPD, leading to everyone blame Toretti for Tucker's death and to believe that he was an accessory to his murder. During the murder trial for Tucker, Toretti planned to defend Lana by saying that it was an accident, but after Murphy Braun's argument of blaming all on Toretti, he withdrew his support for Lana and decided to not care about her. After Toretti pleaded the fifth during the trial, Lana was found guilty of manslaughter which lead people to start calling Toretti an accessory of manslaughter.
On June 19th, Lana tried to blackmail Toretti to go on a date with her after she recorded Toretti twerking as part of the negotiations during a bank robbery. After several talks with Lana, Toretti ended up asking her on a date, but she denied it since Toretti is married to Cassie Cupcakes. As Toretti got a no for an answer he started to walk away from Lana, but that ended up in her punching Toretti and knocking him out. Later that night, Lana encountered Toretti in the hospital talking with a serial killer victim. After he finished up taking a report he redirected his attention to Lana and told her to figure out what she wants from him and drove away to MRPD with a suspect.
Mr. Robert Rodgers
When Toretti was a cadet, he began an investigation into Mr. Robert Rodgers, a serial killer who frequently left notes and sandwiches at the crime scene. The investigation ran for a few weeks, with Toretti taking statements and asking EMS to help him on his quest to apprehend Mr. Rodgers. After several victims who had survived their encounter with Mr. Rodgers positively identified him as the culprit, Toretti arrested him on the pending charge of murder and seven counts of attempted murder. During the investigation several people including Lauren Forcer and some FTOs helped him to gather everything correctly. After Command and High Command found out that Toretti wasn't signed-off on investigations, he was told that if he successfully closed the case, he would be signed-off on it.
During the trial The People vs. Mr. Rodgers', the defense tried to portray Toretti as an incompetent police officer and that he was only an inexperienced cadet, but ultimately they failed. A panel of justices which included Dennis LaBarre, Judge Holden and Coyote Russell found Mr. Rodgers guilty of murder and six attempted murders, and sentenced him to 18 years in prison with 11 already served. During his sentencing hearing, Mr. Rodgers tried to spin the narrative saying that Toretti had framed him, and after his transport to Bolingbroke Penitentiary he threatened Toretti.
After serving his time, Mr. Rodgers returned to his usual business of stabbing people, Toretti now a full-fledged officer started once again an investigation on him. The investigation would go cold after both Toretti and Mr. Rodgers took some time off the city.
Once both of them returned, Mr. Rodgers has kept saying that he was found guilty because Toretti had framed him to get a promotion. Mr. Rodgers has been secretly planning to kidnap Toretti, but Toretti has kept a close eye on Mr. Rodgers waiting for him to make a move.
The Hopper Sisters
Toretti met Becky and Debbie Hopper from the YMCA during a trip to Pillbox Medical Center. Toretti followed them for several blocks as they were heading to MRPD. In the crosswalk in front of the Police Station, Toretti tried to issue a jaywalking citation to Debbie Hopper. Confused, Debbie tried to explain her situation to Toretti, but he handcuffed her, citing that she was disobeying a peace officer. After Toretti searched her, Debbie upset asked for his manager, which at the time was Assistant Chief of Police Thomas Metzger.
Down in the cells, Toretti tried to charge Debbie with various charges, but ultimately after Debbie had a conversation with Metzger, he decided to punish Toretti by making him go the YMCA with the Hoppers Sisters and to be with them every time they are around. Without an option, Toretti spent the day with the Hopper Sisters working out at Vespucci Beach, but eventually Toretti had to leave after a gang shooting at the Southside ensued.
Weeks after his first encounter with the Hopper Sisters, Toretti alongside his alleged adoptive son Alexander Campbell found Becky Hopper unconscious in the street. With EMS busy, he took Becky to the hospital where they met with Debbie Hopper. Toretti taking the opportunity took his alleged son with him to the YMCA to work out together. The night would eventually end with Toretti leaving the Hopper Sisters behind to spend time with Alex.
On September 2, 2020, the Hopper Sisters returned to the city. Toretti was about to sign on duty when the sisters found him and told him to get ready to work out. Toretti this time was excited to go work out with them, calling himself a "queen" and agreeing with the decisions the Hoppers Sisters were making. After they did some jogging around Legion Square and the Court House, they went to Harmony to spread outside Los Santos. The day would eventually end with the Hopper Sisters being attacked by an A-10 fighter jet.
Although Toretti initially regretted meeting the Hopper Sisters, he has embraced their philosophy by being more proactive in changing into shorts when he sees them, calling himself a queen and accepting what they say.

Major Events[]

Professional Hostage

Toretti was taken hostage multiple times by gangs in the city. The Chang Gang kidnapped him in protest of being held in cells for hours, and police not being held accountable. Torretti was dropped from the top of a high-rise complex at a construction site, he survived his injuries, as he was wearing a vest.

Days later, Toretti was taken hostage by the Leanbois. The Leanbois tried to get Toretti to go off duty at the Sandy Shores police station so that he could not be tracked and followed. At the station, the police caught up to the vehicle, and he was shot by the hostage-takers during negotiations after the police opened fire. He survived his injuries but was told by Trooper Tony Andrews that he should consider riding with a partner for his own safety.

Francis Feud

Toretti is involved in a feud with Cadet Francis J Francer. Francis challenged Toretti to a police battle, loser gets fired, which he refused. Francis later went to Pillbox Medical Center and prank called random numbers pretending to be Toretti. He told the callers that he soiled his pants, and needs his dad to come pick him up. Callers then went on Twitter to mock Toretti.

Francis also called attorney Chris McGrawl, and pretended to be Toretti. Francis told McGrawl to deliver four "Meat Lovers" pizzas to Pillbox, and he'd pay him $8,000. McGrawl later filed a lawsuit against Toretti; suing for $9K for the pizzas, and $18K for damages. McGrawl called Francis as a witness, but the case was later dropped by McGrawl for uncited reasons.

Maul Dingh

On February 5th, 2020, while in holding in the cells of MRPD, Toretti beat Maul Dingh with a flashlight until he was incapacitated, and then tased him repeatedly. Maul Dingh was taken to Pillbox Medical Center, where he died of heart failure.

Sting Operation

Cadet Toretti informed Sergeant A.J. Hunter of his planned sting operation to catch notorious Jewish swimmer and criminal Chase Clouter. Chase wanted to do one last job and Toretti posed as a new Jewish criminal that wanted to join his crew. Toretti lured Clouter to Pillbox Medical Center and his cover was blown, and Chase fled the scene. Eventually, Clouter was caught but again escaped custody during a bench trial after several attempts. Senior Officer Emily Reinhart was upset that Torreti did the sting without approval and reported him to High Command via email. Toretti was issued strike points and suspended for one day by Chief Bobby Smith and Assistant Chief Thomas Metzger for ignoring the proper chain of command for sting operations.

Illegal Tints

Toretti pulled over a muscle car for illegal tints. The driver was Erin Cox and her passenger was Sonya Summers. The car was registered to Summers, who was bound to a wheelchair at the time. She was irate about the stop and shot Torretti, and she vowed to shoot him every time he pulls her over.

Forced Marriage

Toretti was kidnapped by Cassie Cupcakes on March 4th, 2020, and was forced to marry her at gunpoint. Many people came to witness the wedding, including his mother, Brittany Angel, where she refused to accept the wedding but proceeded anyway. However, the wedding would end in tragedy where an LSPD K9 Unit mauled Cassie in front of the church steps, horrifying all the wedding-goers.[2]

The Death of Bodean Tucker

Bodean Tucker and Toretti previously had a dispute over Tucker's Daddy, Olivia Copper. This is regarding a previous situation where Tucker asked Toretti if the two were "hooking up" and Toretti drove away without answering. Tucker then confronted Copper about it and she denied anything happened. After that Copper told Toretti to stop alluding to people that she was staying over at his house or that they were in a relationship and he responded saying that it was Tucker that assumed everything and that he, in fact, just drove off without answering anything. Following this conversation, she then advised Tucker to stop commenting on her and Toretti and that he lost her trust. In a Pre-Tsunami situation, Tucker kidnapped Toretti and drove him off the cliff near the lighthouse in an attempt to regain trust from his daddy.

A couple of hours later Toretti found Lana Valentine waiting for Bo in the lobby of MRPD and Toretti after asking what his location was, offered her a ride to Pillbox Medical Center but halfway there Bo returned to MRPD, and so did Toretti. About 100 feet from arriving Lana stated that she was gonna punch him, but not in a serious tone, so Toretti didn't really pay much attention to it. He then dropped off Lana and Bo was standing at the entrance with a Baton at hand. He didn't know what their background was as to Lana wanting to punch him, but thought that this was all in a playful way. After Lana struck the first punch Toretti only heard Tucker provoking her by saying: "You punch like a girl", resulting in her punching him again and Bo responding: "Yep, you punch like a girl". Lana then proceeded to Karate chop him and commented: "I did punch you like a girl.", and Toretti thought he just got knocked out and that he was going to be fine. The whole fight got recorded on camera. Tucker then got transported to Pillbox where he died after the punch formed an embolism in the brain and he underwent cranial surgery to try and remove the embolism but did not pull through it. After the tragic announcement on the radio stating that Bodean Tucker sadly passed away, Toretti got told to stay on duty and about 20 minutes later he got questioned by Senior Officer Lance Malton and Trooper Olivia Copper after they watched the footage recorded by Kyle Winters to know more about what happened and why did Toretti give Lana a ride to MRPD. Officer Brian Knight and Senior Officer Sam Baas were shocked by the lack of commotion and guilt shown by Toretti, even though Bo tried to drown him in the ocean a couple of hours prior and that no way he could've known Bo would die from that. Brian then asked Toretti to speak with him privately and once they were alone in the evidence closet he struck him with a flashlight that resulted in him going to ICU.[3] No report came from Toretti's accident.

Joining JTF

Since the creation of the Joint Task Force Toretti always found interesting in joining it, he had experience conducting an investigation as he led the case regarding Mr. Robert Rodgers and also has shown interest in doing sting operations and catch people dealing with guns and drugs. As time passed by, Toretti thought he was never going to get invited into the JTF, he often expressed his interest in JTF and the ability to do investigations to his partners (most of them JTF members). This led to several people recommend Toretti for JTF which included Lance Malton, Johnny Divine, Randy Wrangler, Kyle Pred and Brittany Angel. A few days before a JTF command meeting Trooper Jackie Snow asked him if he was still interested in joining in the division, citing that he was a good police officer that did his job correctly. On November 16th, 2020, he was officially invited into JTF during a morning debrief alongside Jackie Snow and Trooper Olivia Copper. After getting invited Toretti would often go UM to drug sales to see if he could catch handoffs. His first case as a detective was the Tramp serial killer investigation, which he started working on it before being a detective at the request of Divine who at the time was working on several cases. The case was led by Toretti who worked alongside Cadet Tessa Lamb, as she was one of the targets 0of the killer, and Trooper Copper who acted as the supervisor of the case, the case eventually evolved into an investigation into the Smileys, after the revelation that the Tramp was Kenneth Jesperson. Toretti has assisted investigating several groups and individuals such as the Northside Terrorists, Hoboleto, the Lost MC, The Damaged, Denzel Williams, Kyle Rogain, Eugene Zuckerberg, the Smileys and Thomas Dwayne.

Once "The Tramp" was captured and interrogated by several officers including Toretti and Lauren Forcer, Toretti helped Tessa prepare for the court case which was held on January 30th, 2021. Toretti along Tessa and Copper assisted to the trial against Kenneth Jesperson, in which Toretti took a secondary role as just a supervisor for Tessa's work as a member of JTF. Despite the attempts by the defense of trying to discredit Tessa for conflict of interest and because of her rank, Jesperson was found guilty of several counts of 1st degree murder and accessory to attempted 1st degree murder, making this Toretti's first case within JTF and his fist conviction as a detective. After they adjourned the trial, Toretti praised Tessa's work by saying that she was the person who did all the work, and told her she could always count with him for anything. Trooper Copper and the DA Paige Green congratulated both Toretti and Tessa's work. Copper then mentioned that together was a lethal duo and that people should fear the good police work both Tessa and Toretti do. In another meeting between Trooper Copper and Judges Dennis LaBarre, Buck Stanton, Ray Montagand Allison Thomas they praised both Toretti and Tessa's work for their good paperwork, Copper also mentioned that she was speechless from their work and that she could rely on them for investigations. While the judges praised Toretti and his paperwork also discussed the snippy attitude towards defense attorneys, but Trooper Copper defended him by saying that his attitude was nothing compared to other officers. Kenneth Jesperson was sentenced to prison in life after a separate hearing.
