She is also the Owner, and a Driving Instructor, of Right of Way Driving School, which provides a service to people looking to get their driver's license or reduce infraction points on their license by successfully passing the test, and allowing people to regain their suspended licenses. She has taken a small step back and has hired more instructors, as she does not have the time to put into the school like she used to due to being a police officer.
Personality[]
Tessa is seen as a kind, yet easily manipulated individual, and to the best of her ability she will never break the law. She's gullible, naïve, and forgiving to a fault. Her favorite things include animals, caring for the environment, and being helpful to anyone in need. She struggles with euphemisms, and innuendos fly over her head most of the time. She is without a doubt one of the nicest people in the city of Los Santos.
She has become somewhat jaded over the past couple of years in the city. She can see the flaws and corruption of everyone around her. She has had to become more cunning and manipulative in order to stay ahead of the flow of the city. These days, she is mostly focused on making sure things around her are handled fairly for everyone involved.
She is also a well-respected leader within the police department. She is widely recognized for her ability to deescalate tense situations, which has prevented many a situation from turning violent. She has a love for animals (which she calls "aminals").

Background Information[]
Tessa grew up in an unhealthy household. Her parents, Don and Tina, were alcoholics who constantly fought. If she didn't make herself scarce, they would turn their anger onto her. She only found solace in her pet dog, Maisy.
Her parents were irresponsible and didn't get Maisy fixed, so she ended up pregnant with five puppies. When she gave birth, Tessa's parents wouldn't let Maisy in the house. In a fit of anger and sadness that her one source of comfort was being hurt, she set the house on fire, ending with the death of her parents. This caused intense scarring on her hands. She has said that this was "the only way".
Her adoptive family is far more important to her however, with her dad being SASP Commissioner Sam Baas, with all of his other adopted kids, and her cousin, Trooper Johnny Divine.
Conan was Tessa's Deputy Warden. Even though he is extremely corrupt and does questionable things most times, Tessa always has his back and supports him, so long as he isn't actually being TOO illegal. Conan has recently taken a step back from command, and back into a patrol Ranger role.
Hon is Tessa's 'son' via a convoluted set of circumstances of him being the son of Bobby Brown, who calls Tessa his 'baby momma'. Hon is a regular patrol partner for Tessa within the Rangers, and the pair can sometimes be seen patrolling the county together.
Flop is one of Tessa's Rangers. He is often seen riding with her and assisting her on scenes. The two are quite close and try to help each other out whenever possible.
Wesley † Was Tessa's protégé among the Rangers. She pushed very hard to get him among their ranks and worked with him quite frequently. He was unfortunately killed in the line of duty by Mel Rickenbacker. Tessa was devastated by his death, and sometimes wears his nametag as a necklace in remembrance.
Juno is a close friend and peer to Tessa. On top of them working together frequently in the line of duty, recently Juno has been more involved with Tessa's personal life and helping her overcome her problems with injuries and other issues. She even gave Tessa a room to stay in while recovering.
Tessa's adoptive father. Baas † adopted her after she was orphaned, and they moved to Los Santos together. He was a Commissioner in the LSPD, before retiring for a year, and leaving the city. Baas returned to the city, into her life and the police force where he eventually attained the rank of Commissioner of the SASP. He constantly feels bad for leaving her, and being a "deadbeat" dad, in his words. While she knows that he has his issues within the PD, Tessa looks up to Baas as a good leader.
Johnny is Tessa's cousin via Sam Baas, and close friend. They often confide in each other and talk about any problems they have going on. Divine recently got added to the Troopers, and subsequently got sent on a top secret assignment. Tessa isn't sure when she will see him again.
Matt is one of Tessa's best friends. They ran the Recycling Center together in the old city, but after Matt lost the ownership of the center, he took an extended leave of absence from the city. He came back into the city and was accepted onto the police force, and is one of the deputies that Tessa looks up to the most. They rarely cross paths anymore, but when they do they are still on friendly terms.
Carter is one of Tessa's closest peers on the police force. They can be frequently seen working together on everything from crime scenes to command related discussions. Carter is something of a moral compass as well, teaching Tessa that 'Emotions get you killed.'
Byson is probably one of the people that Tessa trusts the most among the PD. He often helps her make calls that she is questioning, and helps her with a whole host of other PD related issues. Their relationship also extends beyond the line of duty. Tessa helped with his proposal to his pre-wife Jessica Easton.
Shelby is a close peer to Tessa, and they are often working together on PD related issues. She helps Tessa out a lot with things such as budgets, and other requests for the Rangers.
Although at times it might seem like they drive each other crazy, Tessa and Bryce are very close friends. They can often be seen hanging out, hosting events, driving around the city, or even just sitting around talking about things going on in their lives. Tessa will typically try to give Bryce some relationship advice when he needs it, but he doesn't usually listen.
Patrick is Tessa's lead manager at the driving school. He is also close to with a lot of Tessa's friends like Kiki and Bryce. He has grown closer to Tessa as a friend, and she will often check on him if she thinks he may be in trouble.
Kiki is Tessa's ex-girlfriend, and she is always there trying to make sure Tessa is doing okay. Kiki is a member of EMS, so she and Tessa have plenty of run-ins both on duty still. The hallmark of their relationship was the cringeworthy pickup lines and jokes that they constantly text back and forth. Tessa and Kiki eventually ended their relationship after being unable to reconcile how inattentive Tessa was while focusing solely on work.
The Clowns are one of the closest groups to Tessa in the city. Tessa often defends them at the expense of being ridiculed by others within the PD. They often come to her with questions or reports about Ranger related work. They respect her and some even call her 'Clown Mom'. She has even had some success calling them off of doing illegal things just because of the respect they have for her.
Michael got in contact with Tessa in order to have her watch over his snow leopard Acheron while he is on the run, as he is unable to properly care for or house the cat during this time. Tessa has seen the benefits of getting closer to Michael, and has alluded to several things to him. She has mentioned that she doesn't really care if he kills anyone in the PD, and that she would even try to help him in some way if he ever got into a tight spot. Recently, Michael seems to find value in this partnership as well, going as far as pinging Tessa to a dead drop with some cash for feeding Acheron, and a note with a burner phone saying that this is a 'You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours' kind of arrangement. When Tessa got promoted to Game Warden, she took a vow of absolutely no corruption and threw out her burner phone and had not been in contact with Simone in any extrajudicial situation since.
Norman is somewhat of a 'business' partner for Mary, Tessa's alternate persona. Norman was able to pull Mary back up to the surface when he showed back up at the city recently, and can be seen as a catalyst for her recent takeover. Norman likes to check on Mary, he has an uncanny ability to appear where and when you'd least expect him. They will sometimes discuss things about the past, and plans for the future. Norman may have transcended death, but their relationship remains much the same... Bringing death to those who stray too far from the path.
'Mary has already brought forth a couple of names to Norman as people she would like to deal with. She first mentioned that she would love to find a way to get to Mel, even though he is in prison for life. She also mentioned her desire to attack the Mayor Mickey S during a recent driving test, she thinks it would be fun and wants to prove to herself that she can still do it without being caught. The attack on Mickey was called off due to so many people knowing that he was with her, she may try for him again later.
When Tessa got promoted to Game Warden, she took a vow of absolutely no corruption and has not contacted or seen Norman in a very long time.
