Ash Ketchup is a character role-played by ash.

General Description[]

Ash Ketchup is the founder and owner of UwU Café and a CEO and owner of many businesses throughout the city. She is also a full member of Hydra Gang.

She was a former Deputy Mayor, under Emma Gaine's Mayorship, and was also a founder and former second-in-command of Seaside.

Personality[]

Ash, the girl next door, is a feisty redhead Aussie with a deceptively sweet voice and a sharp wit. To many in the city, she wears a veneer of naïveté. But those closest to her know her taste for mischief, which ranges from light shitlording antics to running price-gouging hustles to human torture. Not being confident in herself creates a lot of anxiety for her. Nevertheless, she stands firmly on her principles and opinions to the point of being headstrong, which often drags her into conflict with others or lands her in a world of trouble.

Ash is always up for adventure and ready to back her friends without a second thought, repeatedly finding herself in many adventures, challenges, and precarious situations. Having experienced the cold streets of Los Santos, she has gained a host of insecurities and complexes on family and friendship, trust, and loyalty.

Ash's tendency to jump into situations with reckless abandon has made her a victim to countless wildlife, locals, terrain, and other citizens. Early in the city, she was the victim of several kidnappings and, more recently, the target of serial killers. Coupled with her natural curiosity for exploring the city, this has led to frequent visits to the hospital. She has learned to be more cautious as danger frequently finds its way to her, especially when others see her as an easy target to get to those who care for her.

She favours melee weapons, most notably torches (flashlights), baseball bats, machetes, pool cues, and karambits. It is deadly when paired with her powerful right hook and uppercut. She developed a zeal for employing her melee prowess in various public brawls. Since regaining her gun license, she has gained more confidence in operating her firearm where needed. With special permission from law enforcement officers, Ash was also allowed to carry handcuffs and tasers as part of her arsenal.

Background Information[]

Ash Ketchup moved to Los Santos after an undisclosed tragic occurrence, hoping for a fresh start. During her early days in the city, she discovered past times like hunting and fishing, enjoying going on such trips with friends. She also found herself swept into the world of crime, doing house robberies and helping others with oxycodone runs. For that first month, crime was a routine for her, leading to the commission of one of the first bank robberies in the city. Eventually, she settled into a civilian lifestyle with pressure from her then-boyfriend, who convinced her crime would make her lose their business.

Ash was quick to make new friends in this new city. Her employment at multiple businesses across town has made her a recognisable face. She formed good connections with various members of the Vagos, who considered her to be family up until the mass Vagos exodus. During that time, she gained a thorough knowledge of the activities and politics of a Southside gang. With the trust she had earned, she attained the half-joking reputation of being the "Shadow Jefe" of the Vagos.

She has become more mindful of who she considers to be in her true circle of friends and uncertain about the relationships she maintains. For the one she trusts, she will ride or die for them, prioritising their well-being over hers. While holding back and keeping a relatively clean record for over a year, Ash has continuously skirted the line between upstanding citizen and criminal. She often describes herself as being "crime adjacent".

With the founding of Seaside, she became more involved with the syndicate's underground illicit operations. She assisted in the meth production and heist support, all while attempting to run her businesses as cleanly as possible. Her place in Seaside was previously as one of the Trident, the three leaders in Seaside.

Within her new position in Hydra Gang, she has gained more confidence in crime. She has become a successful boost hacker, attempted hacks in the City Vault, and was part of the first crew in the city to complete the Oil Rig heist.

Notable Events[]

Don't Tell Benji
As Ash was roaming around The Barrio while Benji Ramos was having a meeting with the Vagos, Ash rolled up to the other side of the turf where Ballas are located. Outto-Tune Tyrone, or OTT, was in his truck selling some stuff when an invisible person started talking. They then started talking and OTT blasted his hit song "Creampie" for Ash to listen to and putting her name in the song as well. Benji looked for Ash and saw what was happening and grabbed her away from a running after Ash OTT. Ash admitted to Benji that she felt uncomfortable with what OTT did. A while after this incident, OTT called Benji and warned him that he will take her away from him. One day, Ash was chilling in The Barrio with Benji when salesmen from Premium Deluxe Motorsport called her saying she won a scooter from a little raffle that they did. Ash was seemingly worried that it was a hoax and Benji came with her to pick it up. Benji assuring her that it was fine, then left to take care of business. Ash was then given the scooter with flowers and a mixtape called "Casper," where OTT reads:

“Dear Casper, since the first day I didn't lay eyes on you I felt a connection. I have always been a ketchup kind of guy and I had to muster up the courage to tell you how I feel. I hope this gift allows you to get around the city without having to always ride shotgun with the guy that shoots blanks. I am working on a very special project for you that I know you'll love. This is just the beginning Casper. With love, cuh.”

A few days after, Ash was hired at APEX Security Services where OTT was a client asking for security for his concert that was going to happen that night. He was constantly hovering over Ash, thankfully Raymundo Ortiz was around to guard and protect Ash from OTT. He then invited Ash to come to the concert and Ash asked for another ticket for Benji to come. When she was able to get a hold of Benji, she told him about the concert where OTT released "Don't Tell Benji" which is a song that showed his love for Ash. The concert ended with a bullet on OTT's head and a clearer view of what's really happening to Ash. OTT was not happy with what happened but did not give up on Ash.

After a Vagos versus Mando Thompson incident, OTT rolled up in The Barrio to talk to Arush Patel "Speedy" Santana but was greeted by Benji and the other Vagos. He told Benji that the rift between Ballas and Vagos is all because of Ash and that he is doing what he is doing because Benji is controlling and that he felt like Ash was not happy. OTT then went to Burger Shot to let her know that Benji is willing to kill her if she is disloyal to him and for Ash to be careful.

As it was all getting too much, Benji presented Ash the option of doing it legally where Ash files a restraining order against OTT which she then agreed to and they met with lawyer Reggie Might to start the proceedings. In an interview with Bobby Beats, OTT announced that Ash deserved so much better than what she got. Due to a pending restraining order, OTT apologized to Ash and told her that he was going to stop pursuing her.

Lore to come...
Wrangled in Vinewood!
Ash ran afoul of serial troublemaker Sai Carter after a verbal altercation at the City Vault with Ash ended with him being shot by Curtis Swoleroid. Over the next few weeks, the two engaged in almost daily hostile interactions, including Twatter wars, Sai calling or sneaking up on Ash to threaten her, Ash knocking him out in one punch, and Sai sending someone to shoot Ash. These engagements grew to a head when Sai and his gang shot Ash in the head and kidnapped Benji Ramos at the Apartments.

After recovering at the hospital, Ash organized a rescue party that tracked Sai to his usual haunt at the Vinewood Sign and helped shoot down his gang, rescuing Benji to Grandma's. Benji insisted they return to the site to claim Sai's left nut. When they arrived back to the scene of the crime, the group (minus Benji) ended up getting arrested by the police responding to the scene, with Ash being processed by Randy Wrangler where she was found GSR positive.

Ash spent several hours in the processing cells at MRPD and when interrogated, Wrangler quickly latched onto a slip up by Ash that she retrieved a gun from her apartments when she did not have a weapons license. Under the suspicion of weapons trafficking, he threatened her with a 24 hour investigative hold and the 9s. Ash relented to his threats and a raid of her places of residence was conducted. It turned up nothing incriminating (and 4 pairs of stolen shoes in her beachfront house).

Frustrated by this, Wrangler slapped an attempted first degree murder charge on her after initially considering a gang related violence charge believing that she was a Vagos. They let her go for time served, but Wrangler still tagged Ash as a Vagos in the MDW. For some time after, Ash herself tagged Wrangler as one of the major bad eggs in the PD, and it soured her opinion on cops in general.

In the Crosshairs of Chang Gang
Despite not being officially a Vagos herself, by maintaining close ties with them, Ash would wind up a target almost anytime another organization came in conflict with the Vagos. When the first Chang Gang versus Vagos War began in earnest, Ash was involved in a misunderstanding with CG members Randy Bullet and Curtis Swoleroid at Burger Shot.

Ash was carrying Randy after playfully "banning" them from the restaurant, not realizing that Vagos members Mike Smoore, Carlos "Carlitos" Loco, and Miguel Guerrero were setting up an attack outside resulting in both CG members getting shot up. Thinking that Ash had delivered him to the Vagos to be attacked, Randy swore that he would hunt Ash down for revenge, especially when Ash refused to pay $10,000 in compensation.

For the next 3-4 days, CG actively hunted for Ash with all bets off, even kidnapping and torturing her friends beyond just the Vagos sphere. Ash completely broke down after her supposed friend Anto Murphey lured her into being assassinated by Randy at the pier's Burger Shot through the window register.

After this, Ash retreated to her apartment, cutting all ties with Anto and presumably the rest of her mutual friends with CG. After the war concluded, even though Benji Ramos reassured her that she handled herself properly, Ash developed PTSD from the combined weight of events and had issues ever since, clamming up whenever she encountered CG members she knows of or approaching affiliated locations.

The first Vagos to notice was Chico Guzman during a visit to Vultur Lé Culturé where he observed Ash's unwillingness to be seen and remain hidden in the trunk of the car. Chico offered to stay outside with her to keep her company and asked if she wanted to talk about it if she was ready. Since the first panic attack, Ash has had several more lapses and has opened up to many of her Vagos familia about the considerable anxiety she has regarding her former attackers. Although she felt like she was being a bother making a lot out of what she thought was nothing to them, they were very understanding of her position as someone unfamiliar with gang life being caught up in the middle of a war with a major gang.

When Ash started to hang out with Curtis again after months of not talking to each other, she also started to engage with Randy more in a playful rivalry. But when their shenanigans escalated to bullets flying her way and shooting her down, Ash and multiple Vagos members at the time took it very seriously even if Randy considered it more of a joke on his part, which resulted in them asking Randy to call the play off.

Since Benji and others left the Vagos, Ash was made aware that she was no longer under what little protection she previously had. Despite this, Ash learned how to deal with the various CG members through the lens of a business owner, and this has allowed her to slowly overcome her PTSD and establish a civil relationship with them.

UwU Changed Me
Start of Something New

UwU Day 1 - The First Dean World

After a massive change in leadership at Burger Shot, Ash became dissatisfied with management as individuals began being promoted over those deserving of the roles, herself included. Eventually, she would discover that leadership was refusing to promote her while she also worked at the Rooster's Rest. Disgusted with the lack of direct communication and the ultimatum of quitting Rooster's for a promotion, Ash and Kitty Dream became frustrated, and they started planning a future competitor to Rooster's and Burger Shot. The idea was a café that progressed to a Japanese maid café and finally became a cat maid café. Ash already had a name in mind, the kawaii UwU Café was born that day.

Later Ash confided in Benji Ramos on whether she should go full steam ahead on this dream, if it was worth grinding the Farmers Market. Benji, seeing how much it would mean for Ash to have something of her own, told her to make it happen for herself and that he'd back her the whole way. She also got some needed advice that you could never be equal co-owners because someone needs to have the final say. Bringing this to Kitty, Ash realized that friendships and business don't mix well together as Benji said. Ash and Kitty walked away from the table with Ash taking 95% and Sherry Paiereceiving 5%, Kitty leaving with not even a position of employment.

Upon receiving her business license and approval, Ash began selling to employ her closest friends for running the stall at the Farmers Market and Dean World. Amongst the employees hired Down Bad artist Alex "Lil Cap" Söderbergreworked his song "Wu-Changed Me" to "UwU Changed Me" to bring in more customers. Within the first 3 days, UwU had earned a $100K of full profit and almost $250K in the first 2 weeks of operation.

Benji introduced Ash to Michael Simone, an old friend that had a lot of interest in anime and hobbies. Since Michael was instantly on board, she later met with the construction company to begin her building application. All this attention was destined that other businesses would be jealous, Cool Beans and Burger Shot were the most vocal.

Ash decided that she wouldn't let UwU become like Burger Shot, where civilians would act like gangsters but get upset when things went bad since they would be held up. She decided to hire a lawyer James Haze, so UwU would take legal actions against competitors and not resolve conflict through guns.

Continuing to succeed, Ash eagerly awaited the confirmation of her building. She was congratulated by Dean Watsonand Lang Buddha, a huge feat since they were both her bosses at Burger Shot and Rooster's Rest. Arush Patel "Speedy" Santana would also offer a huge opportunity through the Vagos as they needed to have a coffee connection for a couple operations they were managing. He would recommend Ash approach Leslie Lingberg for a coffee connection to assist with his mining company. During this time Speedy was trying to get some shares in UwU because it was a lucrative business. Ash said that she would give it some thought but she wanted to talk to Benji to seek advice on who she should let buy shares.

Through trials and various hoops that Ash would have to face with the unexpected passing of Basem Shahin. She finally received word that she would be allowed to purchase the building for the café. The first people to see the construction site were Benji and Sherry, later joined by Chino Gonzalez with Lil Cap. The excitement was shared all around as everyone would be shown the site and her dream coming true. She was approached by Leslie shortly after to extend congratulations and also a formal request for her to consider selling shares to Cerberus since UwU had captured the trio's interest.

Unsure still what that meant, Ash would say that she would give it thought and wanted to wait until Andi Jones got back to her with the building costs. When Benji and Ash were finally able to spend some time talking about business, he would state that Ash shouldn't sell shares to Cerberus as they were already rich. That it was time for them to be rich, she didn't need them or even Speedy to continue to thrive. UwU would cater various large events and finish off the first month of business with almost $500K in the business account.

With the election over Andi relayed the final cost of the building and the amount of materials needed for the construction crew. The final total was $600K and 3K of 6 materials, Benji extended that he would give her the remaining money and allow her to use the mines to gather the materials she needed. The process would only take her 3 days to complete and she only needed to hand off the remaining steel to Andi. Ash would sign off 13% to Benji using the $100K as his investment and decided to give her lawyer, James, 2% so he would only work for her.

The next day Ash learned about the new requirements to stay employed with Burger Shot, she approached Kenneth "Ken-sama" Foreman and formally quit Burger Shot since she wasn't planning to go back.

See You on the Seaside
For months, Ash was considered family to the Vagos even though she wasn't officially part of them, with Ash lending them her support through thick and thin, peacetime and war. With the Vagos at the height of their power, a growing disquiet arose in Benji Ramos about his place in the Vagos and his desire to be a leader and shed the stigma of being second-in-command. He confided these thoughts and his wish to leave the Vagos to his closest friends and Ash, with Ash promising to throw her support behind whatever decision he made. In early November 2021, Benji voiced his choice to Speedy who let him leave unharmed out of mutual respect. However a more violent fate would await others who followed in Benji's footsteps.

In the following weeks, Ash helped to provide support to those leaving or were thinking of leaving, giving them individual advice, attempting to rescue them after their blooding out and making frequent visits to the ICU to look out for them. Eventually, one fateful day, those who chose to left the Vagos reunited together on the beach outside Ash and Benji's house, and agreed to band together as a family. Over time, they adopted the name "Seaside" to represent their family.

As she was never officially a Vagos, Ash did not need to go through the same bloodletting process as the others, but nevertheless she was excommunicated from the Vagos under orders from Arush Patel "Speedy" Santana, separated from those she once saw as family. Initially, Speedy commanded that no further action would be taken on the ex-Vagos and their associates, and there was tense peace between the ones who left and those who stayed behind... for a short while.

Between a police investigation on the murder of Chino Gonzalez and the blooding outs, as well as city changes to farming and supplying restaurants, tensions boiled over between the Vagos and ex-Vagos, and the newly opened UwU Café was caught in the crossfire. The café and their farming operations came under attack from the Vagos several times, with Ash coming under fire a few times eventually landing her in the ICU.

The increasingly fortified defense of the café and the 1v6 incident put a decisive halt to the Vagos attacks. Ash recovered from her trip to the ICU, but even as the physical wounds healed, mentally she was upset about being targeted by her former family, and the attacks just piled onto the mountain of stress she was experiencing at the time. Eventually, Vagos, Seaside and UwU Cafe tensions subsided, with Vagos members freely coming into the cafe for service after months of avoiding it. Many members of the Vagos have apologized to Ash about how they treated her, and she is still on good terms with her adopted son, Carlos "Carlitos" Loco.

Ultimately, the Vagos assault on the café served as a rallying point that unified the soon-to-be Seaside and the café workers, allowing them to gain vital experience in repelling and responding to future attacks, including those by Brouge Street Kingz, JustUs, and Sessanta Nove almost immediately after. The investigations into the Vagos bloodout also established a close relationship between Ash and its primary investigator, Flop Dugong, who would subsequently aid her in later investigations regarding Jasper Saxon.

During the inception of Seaside, it was meant to be a family, a close knit group of those who left the Vagos with their friends as associates. However, with the introduction of the spray system and gang app, a structure was determined with three members at the top, Benji, Ash, and Karl Johnny "KJ" Black, making up the "Trident," with the core group of members forming the rest. The associates became similar to prospects in other gangs, with the chance available to move up to full member if the work was put in.

One of Seaside's early conflicts was a situation in which Bodhi Mack breached a Hydra Gang bank job. Benji was out of town, so it fell to Ash to resolve the situation. She went to their cul de sac in Mirror Park alone and spoke with Miguel Almerion and Juan Carlos "Flippy" Hernandez about what happened. She agreed to pay them $100K to cover their buy in that was lost. While Hydra were very impressed with how Ash handled it, citing it as when she first gained their respect, it caused issues within Seaside, and was a contributing factor in Benji undermining her authority as a leader early on in Seaside's development.

Along Came a Jasper
Jasper Saxon was a notorious serial killer who created cassettes of his victim. In the past, Reggie Might aided him in his endeavours but eventually turned against him, with Jasper ending up killed by the police.

In recent times, a copycat killer arose, named Alvin Kohawl, but the real Jasper's soul took possession of his body. The resurrected Jasper filmed video tapes of his victims and released them. Still bearing a grudge against Reggie's involvement in his demise, Ash was put on his radar due to her closeness to Reggie. He kidnapped Reggie and tortured him for a week, a period of much worry to the distraught Ash who felt like she did not take Reggie's warnings seriously and blamed herself for Reggie's capture. Jasper released a physically and mentally damaged Reggie along with the tape of his torture for Ash to find around Christmas 2021.

Since then, he continuously called Ash and Reggie from time to time, taunting and updating them on his next victims. He even spent some time face to face with Ash under disguise to prove how easily he could trap her, much to her shock when she realized afterwards. Slowly, calculatively, Jasper drew the noose tighter, baiting Ash into mental games of hide and seek, and cat and mouse.

On 5th March 2022, the "mouse trap" was sprung, and Ash was stabbed and captured by Jasper. Over the next few days, her friends and family were distraught, turning the city twice over searching for her, leaving the bodies of other serial killers in their wake. Jasper leaked snippets of Ash's continued existence to Reggie day by day, such as photos and short radio transmissions of Ash, mentally torturing him.

Finally, on 9th March 2022, Jasper released his tape of Ash, physically assaulting her already weakened state with a bat, stabbing her with a machete and leaving her to hang. Within minutes of the video's release, a fleet of police and friends descended on the location in the video and Ash was rescued from Jasper's custody. Her vitals critical, she required immediate surgery and a stay at the ICU surrounded by her loved ones. Jasper was subsequently captured and placed under police arrest an hour later.

Even incarcerated, Jasper managed to terrorize Ash, who was still recovering from the injuries sustained from her captivity, wheelchair bound for several weeks and traumatized even further. Using prison payphones, he sent Ash cryptic phone calls from Unknown Numbers and used his natural charisma to even charm DoC to call Ash on his behalf. This prompted the police to place more surveillance on his prison activities. Meanwhile, Reggie, Detectives Flop Dugong and Mackenzie Hayes, and then prosecutor Odessa Glafx did their best to prepare a nervous Ash for the sealed court hearing on Jasper's case.

On 9th April 2022, Ash testified in court on the atrocities inflicted upon her by Jasper. The verdict would be deferred to 22nd April 2022 to give Judge Holden time to process the wealth of evidence at his feet. After listening to the testimonies of many of those involved, Ash's friends, and ultimately Ash herself, Judge Holden declared Jasper (or Alvin Kowhal, the body he inhabited) guilty of all charges and sentenced him to death which was carried out immediately following the verdict.

Later at Bolingbroke Penitentiary, as he was being paraded around before his execution, Jasper left one last ominous phrase to the witnessing audience:

“The third time's the charm... I'll see you soon, Ash.”

Jasper (Alvin) was shot to death by firing squad on 22nd April 2022.
Getting Drug Trafficking
After spending the better portion of a year cooking on meth tables, one of the main goals Ash had in the city was to cook in a meth lab. A growing relationship with Hydra Gang presented her with the opportunity to cook in one of theirs.

On 3rd October 2022, Ash was at the pit with Hydra, and they started talking about cooking. Ash tried to leave since she was still Seaside at the time, but Juan Carlos "Flippy" Hernandez and Raul Luis-Blanco cuffed her and put her in the car. They took her to the first lab, and uncuffed her once inside to make her help cook. This cook ended up failing, so they went to Hydra's second lab.

Here, they let Ash be the main cook. The cook completed and she found out her lab strain, "Dogfish". However, they had multiple head pops with their lookouts, and were unaware Lieutenant Brian Knight was outside staking out the location. He had photos of everyone entering and identified Ash directly since she wasn't wearing a mask.
MethLabGoneWrong

Ash getting arrested

Upon leaving, an organised police response performed a traffic stop for running a stop sign. K9 Units were brought in and the group attempted to flee. After a long chase resulting in a shootout, members of Hydra went down and Ash surrendered. Everyone involved ended up in jail for drug trafficking, with the meth and lab key seized by police. Numerous, desperate attempts were made to save the lab key, with Chang Gang bombing the police, but to no avail. The police got into the meth lab, which fully burnt its location. Jason Ledson, Taco Prince, and Tyrell Fresh were also put on holds for their attempts in saving the lab key.

After taking a plea deal, Ash received a sentence of 3 years in prison (reduced to 2 years due to time served while on hold), 3 years parole, and a $250K fine.

Ash has said getting drug trafficking was both the worst and best thing that ever happened to her, as it was frightening to be in jail alone for so long but expedited the process of leaving Seaside, in which she was unhappy.

Leaving Seaside
Tensions between Ash and Seaside had been growing for quite some time. Mostly stemming from the feeling that she was not appreciated both as a leader and as a member, Ash started to distance herself from the gang to focus on herself. The tipping point came with the "murder" of Michael Simone in combination with getting drug trafficking with Hydra Gang.

Upon the initial disappearance of Michael, news was originally kept quiet by members of police. However, soon word had reached Nicholas Simone, who began to search for his brother with the help of Seaside. Ash took a large role in the search, linking up with Nick and Flossie Grey multiple times to follow leads.

Ash figured out Reed Dankleaf's involvement early on through a sketchy conversation with Sai Carter. This eventually led to the capture of Sai and his significant mother, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Byrne, and their subsequent torture for information.

In a last ditch effort to find the location of Michael, Seaside staged the capture of Selena Martinez, a love interest of Sai, whom Nick traded back to Sai in exchange for information about Michael's whereabouts, which was then kept hidden from Ash and the rest of Seaside.

A few days later, Nick and Ash were out searching for Michael when he received a call from Reed, who told him the location to find Michael. As they approached, a building exploded, and in the wreckage they discovered the apparent dismembered body of Michael. Although later it was revealed that the information Sai gave Nick was that Michael was faking his death with the help of Reed, Nick put up a front to pretend he thought it was real.

Despite knowing the truth, Nick instigated a fight with Ash later at Playa Vista, in which he called her out for spending time with Miguel Almerion, from Hydra. Miguel is also close with Michael, and Nick accused him of hiding information about the whereabouts of Reed while Nick was hunting for him. Ash repeatedly tried to reach out to Miguel for information to give to Nick, but Nick decided it wasn't enough. Miguel didn't want to help Nick since no one told him about Michael (aside from Ash), and Nick didn't want to involve Miguel due to tensions between Seaside and Hydra. During their fight, Nick told Ash that she was dead to him. Ash felt this deserved punishment, as she was his leader and he was disrespectful. Ash ended up finding no support within Seaside after the comments Nick made, and absolved herself of anything to do with Michael's death.

On 3rd October 2022, Ash ended up "kidnapped" by Hydra to cook with them in their meth lab. They were all caught, and sent to prison on 72 hours holds. At the same time, on a completely unrelated case, Nick, Chico Guzman, Axel Drake, Mona Sanchez, and Demetrius "Draco" Jones were put on holds for heroine found on them while attempting to kidnap cops.

Most of Seaside were not happy with Ash for being caught with Hydra, as they already felt she had been spending too much time with them. Members who visited were shut down by Ash, who felt justified in her actions since she had one dream in the city that was unfulfilled, cooking in a lab, which Seaside had already given up on achieving as a gang. She also felt like she was singled out, as most other people in Seaside did jobs with other gangs, and felt it only became an issue when she did it.

While in prison, Benji Ramos visited Nick, and had a conversation about Ash. Ash was secretly listening through the wall as she heard Nick calling her out, and she was unhappy with Benji laughing and taking Nick's side, instead of supporting one of the other leaders of Seaside by shutting it down immediately. An argument ensued, in which Nick and Ash both made comments about leaving the gang. Benji told Nick he wouldn't have to leave, returned to Playa Vista, and instructed everyone there not to reach out to Ash while she was in prison. This message was passed on to the members in prison as well, which completely isolated Ash. She also caught bits of private conversations between Mona, Nick, Chico, and Draco where they were talking about her behind her back.

Ash spent 3 years in prison, with no one from Seaside reaching out or visiting aside from Rexarius Bracchimus and Hanh Do, the latter of which repeatedly broke into prison to deliver her radios, phones, and other items. She came to the realization in prison, after seeing how the conversation between Benji and a member she was in contention with went, that Benji had never fully supported her as a leader, and in fact, probably never wanted her to be one in the first place.

On 10th October 2022, upon release, Ash called a meeting, scheduled for a time people could wake up for, in order to not only explain what happened but see where her standing was within the gang. Only Hanh, Rex, Joaquin "JJ" Jimenes, Cora Star, Reggie Might, KJ Black, Nick, Chico, and Pepe Ramos attended, with other members staying absent until the meeting was over. Ash laid out her feelings, explained her perspective of the past three months, what happened with the drug trafficking case, and waited to see the response. JJ and Pepe were the only ones who made any attempt to get her to stay, and she decided in the moment it was time to drop her bandana and gave her chain to KJ.

Joining Hydra Gang
While still in Seaside, Ash started to develop a friendship with Hydra Gang, regularly visiting The Snake Pit with Reggie Might. This led to mixed feelings within Seaside, as many members were ex-Vagos who still hold a grudge against Juan Carlos "Flippy" Hernandez for leaving the Vagos. Benji also sees Hydra as the main competition for Seaside. This led to many remarks, both behind her back and to her face, about Ash hanging out with Hydra.

Not one to be told what to do, Ash would double down and hang out with Hydra even more. Flippy and Miguel Almerion both pushed for her to stay in Seaside and try and resolve the issues, despite joking about poaching her for Hydra.

After getting drug trafficking and leaving Seaside, Ash decided to focus on herself and finding a place in the city that she felt not only respected her, but actually wanted her to be there. She continued to hang out with Hydra, with no plan to fully join. However, after discussions with Flippy and Miguel, she warmed up to the idea, but wanted time to make sure she would fit in. She spent time with the other members of Hydra, who immediately made her feel at home and welcomed.

On October 19, 2022, Flippy called a meeting to induct Jason Ledson as a Hangaround and make Tyrell Fresh a full member. Flippy reached out to Ash's close friends, Sherry Paie and Rexarius Bracchimus, to come to the meeting as well. He surprised Ash by formally inviting her to join Hydra, which she accepted. She later spoke to Flippy and Miguel in private and asked to join as a Hangaround, not as a full member, as she had never worked her way up in a gang as she started at the top with Seaside, and also didn't want to step on the toes of existing Hydra members who also worked their way up.

While in Hydra, Ash became increasingly more comfortable doing open crime, especially heists. However she is still averse to openly violent crime such as shooting cops, as she tries to maintain a good relationship with her friends on the force.

Ash was promoted to a full member of Hydra on January 4, 2023, when Flippy eliminated the Hangaround rank. Flippy specifically named Ash as an example of ranks below full member no longer being relevant, as they were already treating her as a full member regardless of her rank in the gang.

Ash successfully hacked her first ever S+ boost on January 18, 2023 while Juan Carlos "Flippy" Hernandez drove the boost vehicle.

She completed an expungement around June 12-13, 2023, wiping her record clean.

She participated in an all-girls Hydra meth run on July 8, 2023. Ash largely spent her time as back-up and as a lookout for when Air-1 takes off and refuels in MRPD. In mid-July she reached 88% meth purity, and was on the road to reaching 100%, alongside her fellow Hydra member Emeka. Ash reached 90% meth purity on July 26, and after months of putting in the effort, she finally reached 100% meth purity on October 26, 2023, with the strain 357-crocodile.

Supplier for the Guild
In August 2023 Ash began selling items for The Guild, pushing weapon suppressors, extended magazines and other weapon accessories. Bjorn said Ash had sold around $700k worth of items, particularly suppressors, within one week.

Subsequently Ash was hired at the Guild Hall.

Trivia and Quotes[]

  • Ash was the first person to own a house on Del Perro Beach after the Economic Collapse.
  • Ash's invisibility power was a bug, where she inadvertently developed the talent of becoming entirely invisible which she has described as part of being "a Wizard in training" to people. This uncontrollable magic trick can be quite spooky, especially when used to create the illusion of floating objects. Ash found this more of a curse than a boon as it hinders some of the interactions she could have had. This glitch has been fixed, but Ash retains her status as a Wizard-in-Training after being gifted mana potions and the quickness spell by the Sloth God.
  • Chino Gonzalez first gave her the nickname "Queen of the Barrio". Other members of the Vagos, other gangs, and even police officers have also referred to her with variations of this title.
  • Ash's Squid Game number was #078.

  • Ash's meth lab strain was found to be "Dogfish", but instantly got burned when she, alongside Hydra Gang members, got caught for drug trafficking. On January 30, 2023, AK got her strain changed by doing a meth mission and her new meth lab strain being "357-Crocodile"
