On March 6th, 2023, the Street Crimes Unit was disbanded. As of April 30th, 2023, it has been superseded by the Major Crimes Unit.

This page will not be deleted, as it helps people identify who the prominent detectives were previously.

The Street Crimes Unit (SCU) was the fourth investigative division for the police force in the state of San Andreas. It was the longest standing investigative division in the state, running from August 8th, 2021, until March 6th, 2023.

Description

The Street Crimes Unit aimed to investigate and prosecute Los Santos's most dangerous criminals and gangs, as it strived for an average closure time of one week across all of its case files.

The detectives of this unit were expected to operate as detectives first, with patrol duties coming secondary. It aimed to accomplish this through three tenets:

  1. Aggression. Detectives of this unit were expected to be aggressive with their investigations. The hoarding of information with no plan of action is discouraged; investigations should have a purpose.
  2. Autonomy. Detectives of this unit were granted autonomy from patrol responsibilities. As part of this autonomy, they picked and chose which cases and investigations they wished to work on, though they were expected to be investigating the majority of the time.
  3. Versatility. Detectives were expected to be versatile, instead of pigeonholing themselves into a specific role within the unit.

Leadership

The unit's Director was Kyle Pred, who had the final say on many of the major decisions for the unit and acts as the guard between the unit and Greater High Command.

The unit was led by Jenny Hall EU, Jeffrey Bundy NA, and Daisy Dukakis AU. The Chiefs of Detectives answered to Greater High Command, who had the final say on many of the major decisions for the unit, such as recruitment.

The Shift Supervisors for the unit were Vacant EU, Demi Black NA, and Ashley Smith AU, who managed their individual shifts and coordinated regular progress reports for High Command.

Jackie Snow, Olivia Copper, Mina Price, Anita May, Minerva Maat, and Mackenzie Hayes acted as Advisors to the SCU, regularly assisting detectives with subpoena and warrant writing, and providing advice from their investigative experience.
