Hydra specializes in manufacturing and trafficking meth, as many members partake in actively cooking meth for the gang on a daily basis. Due to their high production and storage capacity, Hydra partakes in large meth runs regularly and developed a proper system of making profit from their collective meth cooks.
Susie Carmichael is one of the biggest meth producers and traffickers in the city, being very knowledgeable on the subject along with being a good inventory manager. Phantom became Hydra's secondary cook after Clarke Bishop was removed from the gang. After Phantom also left the gang, his adopted daughter Lilly Pandia became one of Hydra's main meth cooks after Susie and Flippy, with Lilly reaching 100% purity in June 2023. Other members that cook meth for the gang almost daily include Ash Ketchup, Emeka Rose, Kio Shima, and Nikolai Filatov. Non-Hydra members that have volunteered to cook in their labs in the past have included Lilith Fulker, Vinny Pistone, and Daph Lilith. As of November 2023, Hydra has five 100% purity meth cooks: Susie, Lilly, Flippy, Ash and Emeka.
Much of the meth Hydra produces is used by the gang itself, but it also supplies it to other gangs, including Chang Gang (CG) and Seaside. Ramee El-Rahman and Hutch Hutcherson are big customers of Hydra's meth within CG. The Brouge Street Kingz (BSK) are former customers, as Denzel Wallace used to buy from Hydra when BSK were not cooking their own. In June 2023 Kio Shima and Nikolai Filatov began a dedicated meth distribution operation akin to Chaos, aiming to supply meth to Marabunta Grande, The Families, the Ballas, the Hidden, Redline, and Yokai.

On May 31, 2022, Hydra agreed to buy BSK's meth lab for $3.5 million, resulting in Hydra owning two meth labs, with the first lab being acquired from Ramee after he bought one from the Lost MC many months prior. As part of the Hydra-BSK deal, Hydra were to sell meth to BSK at a negotiated price and share the meth lab until BSK reach 100% quality meth. Flippy would then move the lab to a new location if needed. On August 9, the Bondi Boys MC (BBMC) accepted Hydra's offer to share the former BSK lab with them. On October 3, 2022, Hydra were busted by the UPD leaving their second lab near Harmony and a chase and shootout ensued where Hydra lost the meth lab key. Hydra cooked in their other lab for the first time in over a month on November 9. |

In late May 2023, Flippy approached the Mandem (MDM) about the meth lab they were sharing with the Ballas. Flippy secured a deal that eventually resulted in the Ballas agreeing to sell their share of the lab to Hydra for $3 million. The deal was subsequently completed without issue, however once Hydra met with R.U.S.T (who had been hunting for the MDM lab for weeks) to inform them they now owned half of the lab, R.U.S.T. proposed a counter-offer to buy out MDM's share. Hydra, concluding that R.U.S.T. were planning to take the lab regardless of a deal or not, decided to instead steal the key and muscle out MDM from their share of the lab, that way Hydra could only focus on R.U.S.T. However, the betrayal resulted in a war between Hydra and MDM, starting on June 8, 2023, with the MDM also plotting to undermine Hydra's possession of the lab. Additionally, groups like the Diamond Dogs and the the Saints were also purportedly searching for the lab at the same time, while Gulag Gang discussed potentially helping take back the lab for MDM or for themselves. On June 14, Hydra and MDM secured a ceasefire and Hydra finalized a deal with R.U.S.T. to share the now former MDM lab. However this turned out to be a ruse and Flippy and Patar Bellosh secretly made a deal to continue sharing the lab, and R.U.S.T. scammed.   Flippy (right) and Mr. Kebun meet with Bondi Boys MC to finalize a meth lab sharing deal On May 28, 2023, Flippy also approached BBMC and secured a deal where BBMC would share their meth lab with both Chang Gang and Hydra in exchange for 4-5 Hydra sprays in Vespucci. The deal was implemented over the next week, which involved spray exchanges, BBMC moving the lab to the Yellow Jack Inn in Sandy Shores, and Flippy and Mr. Kebun being the first have access to the stash with the shared lab key. The May 2023 deals resulted in Hydra having access to three meth labs. Flippy reached Level 4 meth cook on June 6, 2023, and Hydra cooked in 3 meth labs in a row for the first time on June 7, 2023. On June 8, 2023, a falling out occurred with former S.T. members Ace Tonnerre, Arya Shah, and Capped 'Pigeon' Tarranova as their meth lab key became lost and unaccounted for. The next day, the key was recovered but the consequences of the falling out resulted in Arya and Pigeon approaching Chang Gang and Hydra to share their lab and work together on cooking together, thus resulting in Hydra securing access to a fourth meth lab. By this time, Hydra had access to 4 out of the 6 private meth labs in San Andreas, with Hydra ally the Angels controlling the fifth and the Families controlling the sixth. Hydra cooked in 4 meth labs in a row on June 13, 2023. Due to all the heat from multiple gangs interested in stealing labs, Hydra moved 3 of the 4 labs to new locations on June 15. The BBMC lab was moved from Yellow Jack on June 29 after being burned, be returned to Yellow Jack after Mr. Kebun insisted the Changaloa Cartel would protect it. |
Vendetta and the Underground[]

Many Hydra members and their friends are competitive street racers and car connoisseurs.
Hydra established and currently manages the Vendetta underground street racing crew, which participates in car boosting, tournaments, and missions for the Puppet Master. Vendetta used to have a racing garage nicknamed the V.A.G. and has an initiation track that allows a racer to complete the circuit three times, and if any of these attempts succeed a time less than 24:00:00, the racer is welcomed into Vendetta.
Vendetta contains some of the most skilled and renowned drivers in Los Santos, including Flippy (Bwo), Jordan Walker (Shadow), and Vincent Carl (Arnie). Vendetta has won tournaments against rival crews Yokai, Redline, and Prism.
Although it is managed and maintained by Hydra, not every Hydra member is in Vendetta, and not every Vendetta member is in Hydra. Although this distinction is nearly non-existent in the eyes of the police, who have noted Vendetta liveries and members during Hydra shootouts and heists, resulting in the line being blurred to many officers.
