Background[]
Eugene Bartholomew Mustard (né Eugene Bartholomew Reginald III) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1994. Eugene was born into a home with a loving and caring mother and an abusive father. Around the age of 8, Eugene woke up in the woods with no recollection of how he got there. When returning home, he came upon his house completely in flames. Eugene's father died in the fire. The cause of the fire was never determined, however, the trauma of this event proved to be too much for Eugene's mother and she turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with the situation and died of an overdose later that year. Eugene almost never talks about these events.
As a result of the loss of his parents, Eugene was sent into foster care. He would spend the rest of his childhood being shuffled around foster homes as he was never adopted himself. Not much is known about this time except that Eugene was constantly bullied, abused, and insulted. As a defense mechanism, Eugene learned that if he used self deprecation and never stood up for himself, it was less likely that he would be attacked. However, it was always hard for Eugene to see innocent people get hurt. Eugene always felt that he was more capable of handling abuse than the other smaller children and would often times act as their protector. However, whenever Eugene was pushed to far, he would black out and have no recollection of any subsequent events. Once he awoke, however, often times one of the bullies would be badly beaten that the bully never messed with Eugene again. As a result of these situations, the foster parent's would usually relocated Eugene due to the level of violence Eugene seemed capable of, even though Eugene himself would have no recollection of these events.
Once Eugene was 18 years old, he was released from foster care and completely alone with no family or friends. He met a very nice lady by the name of Charlene who befriended and took pity on Eugene. After a few months, of convincing her husband, Eustace Reginald, the couple decided to officially adopt Eugene. Charlene became Eugene's closest confidant and friend. Things were great for a while. Unfortunately, when Eustace drank too much he would get violent. One day, he laid his hands on Charlene. Eugene does not recall what happened but the next morning, Eustace and Charlene were no where to be found, but Charlene had left a note saying that "Out of fear for our safety" they needed to leave and not tell Eugene where they were going. After a few months of being on his own, Eugene received a message from Charlene explaining her guilt for abandoning him. She explained that Eustace was now sober and they wanted to meet. They would meet shortly after, Eugene would move back in with Charlene and Eustace. Things go great for a while until Eustace fell off the wagon again. This back and forth happened more than once.
One day, while living at Eustace and Charlene's newest home in Los Santos, there was another altercation between Eustice and Eugene that Eugene is has never discussed fully, however, the result was that he was kicked out of the house. Eugene left the house and needing money to pay for an apartment, and computer to reconnect with his online friends, he went out into Los Santos on his own for the first time.

Uncle Klaus
Uncle Klaus, who Eugene lovingly calls "Unkie Klaus" has slowly become a very good friend of Eugene. The two of them hang out often and can usually be found exploring together on new ways of making money.
Relationships[]
Eugene first met Sammy Mustard while he was filling up his car with gas while undercover as a Burger Shot/3.0 mascot as he was in the process of doing crime. Sammy flipped her bright pink Dubsta truck and landed near Eugene. She ran over to Eugene to ask if he had seen her awesome flip. The two had an introduction but since Eugene was in disguise he did not want to give his real name. Sammy suggested that since she had been called the "Mustard Queen" but some of her friends, that Eugene, currently wearing a burger on his head, could be her "Mustard King". This comment lead to a lot of nervous laughing and awkwardness as the two of them said goodbye for that time. Over the next few days, Eugene asked around for the "Mustard Queens" phone number and finally got in touch with her. The two became fast friends as she was more into outdoor activities which Eugene knew almost nothing about. Sammy taught Eugene to fish, hunt, flip dirt bikes, bird watch and many more.
It didn't take long for Eugene to develop feelings for Sammy who had recently been going through a breakup. After some time, Eugene finally told Sammy how he felt to which Sammy was very honored but made it clear she wasn't ready to be in a relationship. Eugene said he understood, but over the next few weeks, Eugene's feelings for Sammy only continued to grow along with his frustration and jealously of others that she would choose to spend more time with. Ultimately, Eugene remained friends with Sammy.
Eugene met Ana through UwU Café and her hanging out often with Pete and Lapis. It was revealed early that Ana had been in a previous intimate relationship with Roman Atlas and she showed signs that she was still not over him, even though Roman was now happily dating Grace Daniels. Eugene, being very protective of his parents, did not like Ana for this reason and changed her name to "Prime Suspect" in his phone with the idea of if he ever needed to pin something on someone, she would be the target. A few weeks later, however, after bonding a bit a the Los Santos memorial, Eugene began to see Ana in a different light. Over time, Eugene would begin developing feelings for Ana, and he could sense she was having feelings towards him.
Eugene spoke to Roman and Grace about this situation and was warned that they felt Ana may just be using him to get to Roman because she continually was showing signs that she was angry at his new relationship and now over Roman. Over the next few weeks there was a lot of discussion about Ana, as she continued to grow closer to Eugene. However, this resulted in many family members expressing concern of a potential relationship but that they would not stand in Eugene's way if he chose to pursue Ana. Eugene finally told Ana about his concerns and that his greatest fear is that one day Ana would, "Wake up and realized I am not my dad and I am not enough for you". She swore that would never be the case.
Everything came to a head one night when Eugene received a call from Grace while he had been ice skating with Ana. Grace wanted to meet as she had some news to tell Eugene. When Ana and Eugene meet up with Grace and Roman, it was revealed that Roman and Grace had gotten engaged. Everyone seemed very excited about the news, including Ana. However, a few minutes later, Ana asked to speak with Grace privately and revealed to grace that she was upset about the announcement and that Ana felt that is should have been her getting married and not Grace. After this conversation Eugene asked Ana what that conversation was about and Ana told Eugene as well that she felt it should have been her marrying Roman. Eugene was stunned by this statement and simply said, "I'm sorry you feel that way" and he left for his car. Before getting to his car, Ana ran after Eugene to try and clarify and say that it isn't Roman that is the issue, it is the fact that she wanted to be married and ever since the breakup with Roman she has felt like it was suppose to be her wedding. Eugene, told Ana he had to think things over and left.
Later, Eugene was called to talk to Grace and Roman at their house, upon entering the house, Eugene saw Grace weeping. Eugene could feel his blood begin to boil at the thought of Grace in pain. Grace and Roman explained what had happened with Ana's conversation and how hurt Grace was as a result. Eugene was left dumbfounded. He took the opportunity to show Grace and Roman a piece of paper with a name and an address scribbled on it. It was the name Eustace Reginald. Eugene revealed that he had found his formerly adopted dad, but had no information on the whereabouts of his formerly adopted mom Charlene. He knew that with the inevitable economic collapse of Los Santos, along with his deep sadness toward the hurt from Ana that it was probably best for him to leave town and attempt to locate Charlene and make sure she everything was okay.
That day, Eugene said goodbye to Sammy who revealed that she would be leaving town as well to pursue her Master's degree back home in Louisiana. After a tearful farewell, Eugene said goodbye to Sammy for a long time. Eugene, not saying anything to anyone else, including Ana, packed his bags and went to the airport and flew back home to Milwaukee.
