Deon Williams is roleplayed by DWingz.

General Information[]

Deon Williams is a 32 year old man from the big city of Calico, CA. He was a happy and loving man prior to the civil war in the country, but now he is filled

with anger and impulse.

Background Story[]

He grew up in a rough part of town and he attended public schools with a 12% drop out rate. All of his childhood friends grew up to be involved with gangs, but Deon had aspirations to be more.

When he would attend class, he would notice another empty desk. A school desk that once held so much potential, was nothing more than a decoration now. Another person he has known since Elementary school had fallen victim to the street life. For every day he witnessed another kid fall victim to gangs and drugs, the more motivated he felt to work towards walking across that long stage to grasp his diploma and toss up his graduation cap. After graduation, he hoped that he would go on to college, get a decent job, and maybe even start a family.

4 months, 2 weeks and 3 days following his high school graduation, his city fell victim to a catastrophic attack by a bio-terrorist organization called Enerjon Industries. A Rabies Lyssavirus hybrid was introduced into the air and waterways of Calico, CA, rapidly spreading the deadly virus.

The hybrid virus infected its hosts quickly. Once the virus presented signs and symptoms, its effects were irreversible and the host would decline rapidly. Flu-like symptoms would be the first sign that you were infected. High temperatures above 102 degrees Fahrenheit would be first, followed by intense chills and cold sweats. Your body would feel like it was burning from the inside out, with very little chance of your intense fever coming down. Shortly following the onset of fever, necrosis of your skin would quickly begin. Pica would cause an extreme craving and it would almost cause a cannibalistic desire amongst those infected. Most infected are “exterminated” either by the government, other infected people, or an uninfected person acting in self defense.

At the beginning of this five year war, Deon’s parents were one of the first 100 people infected. Panicked, Deon tried to hide his family away from the government's eye. He stole protective gear and antibiotics from the doctor’s office his mother worked at and attempted to treat his parent’s for the virus quickly. However, because viruses are not affected by antibiotics, the medicines he administered did nothing to stop the spread. The onset of the symptoms quickly progressed. They began attacking Deon and attempting to bite and claw at him. Their instincts caused the pica to become extreme and they began biting at Deon to potentially devour his flesh. He found himself backed into a corner with nothing but a kitchen knife, and he began stabbing each of them with that knife to protect himself.

Instead of feeling grief and mourning the loss of his parents, Deon began to feel an intense anger. Immediately, he made the decision to enlist in the military. The military would be his only option to get him as close to the fight as possible, so he deemed it necessary towards getting revenge. The government failed the country, but he had no choice but to fight for them to get the information he needed.

Deon entered the United States military and was part of the Joint Task Force. Because of the country's state of emergency, his time in boot camp was expedited. About 4 years into the war, his unit was on a Special Ops mission to locate the laboratory that was suspected to be the origin of the virus. The government sent them to an undisclosed location and they traveled with the utmost discretion. When they arrived at the location, their job was to successfully infiltrate the building and kill everyone they came across. When the unit believed they were finished clearing out the building, they heard a strange noise coming from one of the locked doors. Without hesitation, another soldier shot down the locks on the doors, and kicked it down. The entire unit began shooting at the swarm of "the infected" and they raced out of the building in the direction they were instructed to travel next. An aircraft was planned to be waiting in a distant field North of the location of the laboratory. It was expected to load up the unit and escape the scene once the mission concluded. The surviving men found a nearby truck to take them in the direction of the aircraft.

Upon reaching the field, no aircraft was present. There was no indication that anyone from the United States military was there besides them. They were stuck there with no method of escaping, so the truck continued driving in a failed attempt to escape the chaos of infection. There was a deafening explosion, and the remaining men of the special ops unit were scattered among the field. There was an IED hidden in the middle of that large field. The 4 men who survived the explosion were severely burned almost to the point of being unrecognizable and was taken by the militia. Deon was one of the surviving victims taken captive.

They mended his wounds in an attempt to use him for information once he was healed. His body was 75% covered in 3rd degree burns that traced up his legs up to his neck and face. Following his slow recovery from the burn wounds, they began to starve him and torture him for information about the United States. Despite the torture, Deon remained silent. Any secret he learned from the military, he knew he needed to keep to himself. It was his only way of avenging his parents and the thousands of other families that were victims of this viral attack on the world. He could not become weak after all he has been through. His hatred consumed him and gave him the motivation he needed to survive for the 3 years he was a POW.

When all hope was lost, Deon heard loud explosions echoing outside of the shack he resided in. There were undercover soldiers working together to take over the militia base. A man rushed behind him and released his bound hands. The mystery man handed him an AK-47 and nudged at him to run. Deon ran through the gunfire, shooting and killing any enemy that crossed his path. There was no confusion as to who was an ally and who was the enemy. The faces of his captors were burned permanently into his mind. Despite his rescuers being in disguise, he made no mistake about who he can and can not trust. He made his escape to the aircraft like he was supposed to do years ago. Finally, he was rescued.

When Deon returned to the states, he spent weeks in the hospital under observation. His doctor wanted to ensure he did not develop sepsis from his injuries and that there were no long term physical effects of the way his body healed. The doctors stated that he went against all odds, and despite the circumstances, he was healed efficiently with no long term ailments besides his scarring. He did, however, develop an extreme form of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and he was referred to a psychologist for the best mental health care.

As the years progressed, civilian life gradually got more difficult. He would often find himself in a psychiatric hospital after a total black out. Worried, he began to ask questions to all of the psych staff he would encounter. He had no idea how he got there. He had no memories of struggles. He had no memories of the war. He knew he was in the military, but he could not recall why he enlisted or any of the trauma he endured over the years. He was confused, and just wanted to learn why he was locked up in a seclusion room.

His psychologist carefully entered the room and listened to all of his questions and concerns. Deon panicked at the change of expressions he saw on his doctor’s face as he recalled the events of his memory and begged the doctor to tell him what was going on. The doctor carefully explained to him that his PTSD was more severe than they anticipated. He developed a multiple personality disorder and had two known personalities observed. What got him admitted to the psychiatric hospital was his outburst on a civilian at a convenient store. The civilian backed into his car, and the sound triggered Deon. He pulled the man out of his car and beat him up until he was unconscious. The police needed to apprehend him with force and medication that would sedate him. The effects of the sedation needed to last long enough for the officers to restrain him and get him to safety.

Deon was heavily medicated, but he would still live his life as two different people occasionally. The medication slowed down any outbursts he would potentially experience, but it never “cured” his multiple personality disorder. Deon’s default personality was of a veteran who desired to live a “normal” life. He had no memories of his trauma, which allowed him to cope with day to day life. This side of him was extremely self aware and knew of his history, but he didn’t feel the emotional attachments to his past events. His history was nothing more of a story to him. We refer to this personality as “personality 1” per his doctor’s documentation. Personality 1 desired being able to find a wife and have a family despite his psychological disorder.

Personality 2 was the exact opposite of personality 1. This side of his personality would surface usually following outside triggers and stimuli. Loud noises or shouting would typically cause the “shift” in personalities. When he was in personality 2, he would recall all of his past traumas. He remembered the pain he felt when he had to kill his infected parents. He remembered what it felt like to be burned and he remembered what he endured when he was tortured. He was angry and full of rage. He would act on impulse and impulse alone. None of his actions were well thought out. If you crossed him, you would immediately regret it. His mind was filled with what he learned from the military and what he learned from the streets when he was younger. He was a force to be reckoned with, and there was no rationalizing with him when personality 2 was taking over.

After years of dealing with the ups and downs of his multiple personality disorder, Deon’s “personality 1” decided to move to Los Santos in search of a new beginning and opportunities. His “personality 2” black outs were finally at bay for months prior to his move, and he felt confident that he was finally in the clear to live a normal life. When Deon arrives in Los Santos, he quickly learns that this city is a lot different than home. He will be faced with the daily challenges presented by the streets of Los Santos. His struggles will be dependent on the instigation of the city and his ability to keep “personality 2” at bay.
