Den Shiesty is a character role-played by Deansocool.

General Description

Den Shiesty is a Senior Officer for the Los Santos Police Department, Badge #496.

He was formerly a Deputy for the Paleto Bay Sheriff's Office, Badge #396, but has since returned to the LSPD.

Den once had aspirations of opening a clothing store; he applied to become a Police Officer when this was unsuccessful.

Events

First attempts at Interceptor Trials

During his first attempt at an Interceptor Certification, the Tuner Shop opening and ongoing issues with the Challenger caused it to be put on hold.

During his second attempt, Marabunta Grande were unhappy that the Corvette trail passed through their turf. They repeatedly blocked Fudge Lane with box trucks, affecting both Den and Cooper's laps. The altercation ended with MG gunning Den down, ending both him and Cooper's trial.

The following week, he reluctantly started his Mustang trial but ended it early. Stating that tracks were not for him, Den stopped pursuing an Interceptor Certification and began focusing on becoming an FTO.

Denied pFTO

Once Den became a full officer, his goal was to be K9 Certifiied. At the time, K9 certifications were only available to members of Command or FTOs; aware that he would not become a Sergeant or above in the near future, he began to pursue becoming a Field Training Officer. Den consistantly took out cadets, wrote reports and forwarded them to leads in P&T. However, Den's work often went unrecognised, with leads brushing him off when he brought up his reports or the cert. Eventually, Den was denied probationary FTO in favour of Cooper, despite the work he'd put in.

These events lead Den to feel like he would be a "forever officer" as he had missed out on promotions, struggled with his Interceptor Cert, was denied pFTO and is seemingly always in trouble with High Command.

Second Attempt at Interceptor Trials

With the focus of the SRU shifting towards Chargers, the trails were adjusted. Instead of 3 tracks, the requirments were changed to 1 track and 1 pursuit. Upon hearing this, Den attempted to get an Interceptor Cert again, 6 months after he had initially given up. Underwood passed him on the track, despite being .374 seconds over the time needed. 2 days after this, his pursuit ensued with SRU Members: Fury, Moosebeard, Collins and Oxlong. Despite a shaky start due to nerves, all members said Den had done well and reported back to the SRU Leads. A few days later, Snow informed Den that he had passed and was now Interceptor Certified.
