Delmon Homme is a character is role-played by Blunderbusses.

Background

Delmon Homme, or The Perfume Maker, is a serial killer and stalker who spends most of his time in Paleto. Delmon has an acute sense of smell and synesthesia. His form of synesthesia, in which he associates aromas with images (which he calls paintings), helped him become a very successful perfume maker and seller in his early twenties. He does not know who his parents are. He grew up in an orphanage. His psychopathy and sociopathy shined through at an early age leading to most of the children at the orphanage avoiding interactions with him. Struggling to make friends, Delmon instead immersed himself in the many books, movies, and music housed in the orphanage. One of those books he read was Perfume by Patrick Suskind. He became obsessed with the book, reading it so many times as to memorize it completely. He carried this obsession with him throughout his entire life, mimicking the behaviors of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, the novel's titular character.

Becoming bored with the usual ingredients used in making perfume, Delmon turned to the methods of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in his attempts to transfer the human essence into a perfume bottle. After many trials and tribulations he became satisfied with his recipe, and set out on his quest to build a monument to Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in the form of a perfume that mimicked the one he created in the novel.

Delmon's modus operandi would be to stalk his victims, abduct them at gunpoint, and drive them to an out of the way location. He would then use a syringe to take a sample of their blood, collect their tears in a vial, smack the back of their head in with a hammer, and then harvest the skin of both armpits and a portion of the victim's back. When the victim's perfume was ready, Delmon would display it publicly in a high trafficked area. A note containing song lyrics or a Walkman with a cassette containing a specific song would accompany the perfume at it's display.

Post-Capture

Delmon was caught by Officer Brian Knight during his attempt to harvest his 10th victim. He was taken into custody and interrogated by Detective Lauren Forcer and Senior Officer Lily Pond for two hours, during which he confessed to everything. A psych eval was performed by Anna-Marie Black resulting in a diagnosis of Anti-Social Personality Disorder with sociopathic tendencies. After a 19 year stay in Bolingbroke, he was finally offered a plea deal of life in Parsons with an opportunity for parole after 30 years. Delmon took the deal and is currently staying in Parsons for the duration of his sentence.

Delmon was released from Parsons on July 19, 2021 into the care of Anna Swallows. For the next few months he took the time to regain the trust of the populace. He befriended Ursula Leichenberg, a news reporter with DID, who was targeted by someone who claimed to be The Perfume Killer just before Delmon was incarcerated. He apologized to both Tessa Lamb and Patrick Desseault for their roles in his exploits as The Perfume Killer. With the help of Anna Swallows, he was able to open his own stall at the Farmer's Market, Killer Scents, where he sells his homemade perfumes and colognes, amongst other sundries and drinks. He also took the time to go on fishing trips with random civilians to ingratiate himself back into society.
