Darren was one of the newer recruits for Prism when the police caught him for the first time. They interrogated him and found a text on his phone with a document about racers' identities and affiliations in Marlo Stanfield's underground racing league MRL. Yokai demanded that Anna "Lilac" Jørgensen hand Darren over to them to torture, or else Yokai would hunt him down themselves. Lilac handed Darren over, and Yokai tortured him in the basement of their newly-decorated "YoHouse".
