Christelle Snow is a character role-played by SiennaSNOW.

Description

Once shy, innocent, and soft-spoken, Christelle "Chrissy" Snow is now an outgoing and confident personality in Los Santos.

She's kind and tends to put other people's needs before her own. She never hesitates to help people that need it, especially those that are new to the city and those who are going through difficult situations. Her goal is always to make people smile or laugh, as she knows how something as little as a smile can make someone's day better. No matter the situation, she usually has a more positive outlook on things and she does her best to bring that positivity to those around her.

She's in an open, un-labed relationship with Marcus Grail, with whom she moved to Japan and traveled the world with after leaving Los Santos. They eventually moved back to Los Santos together five years later. They've been together for over six years, canonically.

Employment

She works at Snr. Buns, where she prefers taking orders and talking with customers but also will work in the kitchen as needed. She also works at Gruppe 6, Grime, and city sanitation. She's great with customer service, as her positions as a manager at UWU Cafe, manager at AnxieTea, and working at Snr. Buns shows. She loves working with and meeting new people and is drawn to places she can do just that.

Goals

Her current goal is to save up money to buy a house. She often expresses how much she misses her house in Chumash and would like to get another in that area.

Notable Events
Time Skip

The state of Los Santos declined so rapidly and drastically that everyone had no choice but to leave. When faced with the decision of where to relocate, Christelle had a huge choice to make. She had just been back in NYC for over a month after her father had been killed and her mother tried her best to get her cousin thrown in prison for life (although it ended up being only a 10-year sentence). She had no desire to go back there for quite a while. She thought about all the different places she’s lived throughout her life, as well as places she’s always wanted to live. One place stood out among the rest: Japan. When living there with her parents she lived in Okinawa, which is a lovely place but not where she wanted to live. After living in Los Santos for a year and a half and previously in NYC she felt comfortable with “big-city-living” and decided on Tokyo. She had visited there in the past, but that was around ten years ago. She offered Grail the opportunity to join her, and he agreed. Feeling comfort in the fact she wouldn’t have to go alone and that the one person she trusted the most would be joining her, they took the trip to Tokyo with little plans for the future. They arrived in Japan with work visas to teach foreign languages. Grail continued his Spanish lessons and private counseling while Chrissy began tutoring English. Business picked up quickly, and although it was not without struggles, they did well for themselves. Working independently gave them the freedom to take breaks as they needed, which was especially helpful when they traveled to visit Ava, Lolly-Lou, and other friends. Ava also took time to visit in Japan as a way to get away from her day to day life.

Living in Japan gave the two of them many opportunities to get to know each other better, as Grail shared stories of his past when he was in Japan, and Chrissy did the same… although her stories were not nearly as interesting. Even though their memories of the past may not be the most positive, they made a point of creating new memories together, having the good overwrite the bad. They made friends with people throughout the city and they continued their lives (and relationship) as normal as they could in a new country. Although, “normal” does not always mean easy. Various hardships occurred to those around them to which Grail, as usual, blamed the #GrailCurse… despite Chrissy desperately trying to keep him away from that mindset. Regardless, life was comfortable and Chrissy did her best to bring happiness to Grail’s life despite his insistence that he didn’t deserve it.

Over time, lapses in Grail’s memory began to happen again. When his memory was normal, he continued his Spanish lessons, but the frequency became less and less as time went on. Chrissy did her best to keep him grounded, but it wasn’t always easy. Everything started to go downhill when an old yakuza boss recognized Grail. The news that Grail was back in Japan spread fast through the underground scene of Tokyo, and it was not uncommon for the two of them to be put in dangerous situations, having to run and go into hiding for a few days. Grail gave Chrissy the opportunity to escape, saying he had safe passage for her to get out of Japan, but she wouldn't have it. She was determined to stay by his side. So much so that she actually broke Grail's leg to keep him from leaving her behind, even though she knew in his mind it was to protect her. She was the one who brought him back to Japan, so she'd deal with the consequences right along with him. They started to use code names, Chrissy being Snow and Grail being Akuma. Situations like this normally would have Chrissy quite anxious–and she was at first–but Grail always made sure she was safe and gave her a bit of training… that she didn’t need but she went along with it. From then on, the attacks never phased her. Sometimes she was even the one in front, leading the two of them to safety. Her dad may have been awful to her, but at least he taught her how to defend herself. In order to further protect her, whenever Grail was out on his own, he would forget Chrissy until seeing her again. His mind did this in order to keep her out of harm’s way if he ever did get caught. However, he always knew where home was and their bond still tied them together so finding her again was never an issue, even if it took a few days or weeks. The two of them tried to live out their lives as best as possible, but at some points it became impossible for them to stay in Japan– even leaving Tokyo and going north for a few weeks made no difference– so they had to travel to other countries. However, the same thing happened in Russia, Italy, Ireland, and others. Grail’s presence never stayed a secret for long, and Chrissy was amazed how many different syndicates knew him. With Japan remaining their permanent location, they spent 1.5-2 years traveling simply trying to avoid conflict.

Five years passed, and they heard of people they knew from Los Santos trying to rebuild the city. Many had hopes it would be restored to its former glory, or even better. Chrissy knew it would be better to get Grail out of Japan since the violence and memory issues had progressively gotten worse. Learning that the city has been receiving financial aid in order to rebuild, they once again decide to leave their lives behind and travel back to where it all started for the two of them. She sent him first, as she had a few things to tie up back in Tokyo, but she was in Los Santos only days after he arrived. The only challenge now would be to find him so he could remember her.

Backstory/Personality

  • Christelle Snow grew up as an only child in a military family with her father being in the Marine Corps. They moved around a lot when she was young so she got to see and experience a lot of places, notably San Diego, CA and Okinawa, Japan. They moved to Brooklyn, New York after his contract ended, but unfortunately he was left with extreme PTSD and a drinking problem. This resulted in both her and her mother not being treated well by her father. That way of life became the normal for them, as her mother wouldn't stand up to him, and would often justify his actions.
  • Chrissy’s initial shy and soft spoken personality comes from her parents always trying to control her, telling her what she can and cannot do, wear, or say. The idea that women are to be seen not heard was pushed very hard in that household. Her parents never let her go out with friends, so she resorted to sneaking out at night after everyone was asleep. Her parents were so controlling that they made her go to the university close to their house so she could still stay at home instead of staying on campus. They claimed it was so they could save money, but Chrissy knew it was more about making sure she didn’t do anything they didn’t like. Chrissy finished a two year degree but left for Los Santos not even two months after graduating.
  • Despite being shy, Chrissy opens up quickly. Once she gets comfortable, she talks and laughs a lot. Throughout her time in LS, she's gotten out of her comfort zone and gotten used to talking to new people a bit more.
  • Because she has been through a lot of hardships, Chrissy is genuinely kind and automatically sees the best in people. For a long time, she saw her automatic optimism and kindness as a blessing. Although, recently she starting considering it more of a curse, as people tend to take advantage of this.
  • She won’t admit it to herself, but Chrissy is terrified of commitment– not because the thought of being with one person scares her, but she’s scared of the future of that relationship would hold… aka getting married. She’s watched her parents grow apart as the Marine Corps left her father with PTSD, a drinking problem, and an overall misogynistic mindset. Her mother dealt with it, since he was the head of the household, but Chrissy had to deal with the physical and mental abuse as well. Deep down she loves the idea of falling in love, getting married, and having kids, but she’s afraid that the person she would commit to would end up being a repeat of her situation at home. This is why Grail’s open relationships didn’t deter her from him. She can get a close connection and intimacy with someone without the commitment… despite potentially feeling jealous on a few random occasions. She hides those emotions because in the long run, this lack of commitment is what’s best… or so she believes.

Relationships

Marcus Grail

Chrissy and Grail are in an open, un-labeled, very intimate relationship. They met not long after Chrissy moved to the city, when Bella Dawson introduced them to each other. They began spending a lot of time together and became quite close. Grail was one of the two people that took Chrissy's virginity. They worked together at UWU Cafe, Hayes, The Mouse Trap, AnxieTea, and Chrissy worked at Grail's business, Con A Linguis. Chrissy shared her house in Chumash with him, since he was the reason she got that house (She knew he always wanted a house by the beach). Their friend groups are nearly identical, as when they're both awake they're nearly inseparable. They moved to Japan and traveled the world together after leaving Los Santos. (See "Time Skip" in Notable Events) They eventually moved back to Los Santos together five years later. They've been together for over seven years, canonically.

Ava Devereaux

Chrissy and Ava met through Grail, however Ava was also the General Manager at UWU Cafe, making her Chrissy's superior. However, the two of them became quite close and often help each other when one is going through a difficult time emotionally. While living in Japan, Ava would come visit her and Grail from time to time. Chrissy considers Ava to be one of her best friends.

Roberto Breeze

Chrissy met Roberto back when he was a manager at Dodo/RHL. She called him, asking him to give her a job. However, she didn't have a partner to work with, which was required. He offered to work with her if she couldn't find a partner (and she couldn't, even after calling multiple friends) so they did the job together. She's admitted that at the time she was attracted to how approachable and fun to be around he was, but she backed off immediately after learning he was married. After that, they only talked on the phone when she needed a job at Dodo/RHL. However, after moving back to Los Santos years later, she learned that he had very recently gotten divorced and she took it upon herself to check in with him whenever she was awake to see how he was doing. They became good friends, hanging out and talking, and not long after began spending the night together. They were officially dating for four months before Roberto broke things off to pursue a more serious relationship. They remain really good friends. Chrissy even decorated Roberto’s house in Chumash in a modern, Asian style loft.

Eli Krios

Eli and Chrissy met while she was hanging out with Lucian Weisz when they were “talking.” Because of this, despite thinking Eli might be interested in her, she didn’t pursue it because he’s Lucian’s friend. However, Lucian got a girlfriend so Chrissy was free to see what might happen with Eli. They began hanging out 1-on-1 more, and sure enough, they had the talk about where things would go between them. After explaining her relationship with Grail and her current disinterest in a relationship due to what happened with Roberto, they agreed on a “just for fun” friends with benefits type of relationship. Since then, they continue to hang out consistently and are becoming close “friends.” She also decorated the house he shares with 3 other friends.

Sly Santana

Chrissy met Sly at UWU Cafe when he wanted an interview. She interviewed, hired, and trained him at the Cafe, and found herself drawn to his energy. They spent a lot of time together outside of the cafe and ended up sleeping together a few times. Chrissy had given him keys to her house for a period while the apartments were closed and he was homeless, but she took them back a few weeks later. They drifted apart after that event, and also because the weren't usually awake at the same time anymore.

Deuce Smalls

Deuce and Chrissy met when she was looking to sell gemstones she had, and she found his name on the yellow pages. He was the first to "officially welcome" her to Los Santos, meaning he stole her shoes and threw them at her. He became the primary person she'd sell gems to and he'd give her a special price for them in return for the loyalty. Over time, Deuce expressed his interest in her and suggested that he'd be okay with being her "second place" behind Grail. She decided to let him into her life like that, but the two of them didn't get to spend as much time together as they would have liked. Their time was sporadic and not really enough to build a strong relationship. Deuce expressed his jealousy toward Grail, and told her how it was hard for him to see her with Grail. Chrissy didn't know how to respond, as Deuce knew the situation. The two of them did not keep in contact after Chrissy moved to Japan.

Grace Daniels

Grail introduced Grace to Chrissy when the two of them had grown close. Chrissy and Grace never were in a relationship, but they became good friends and they do care for each other. They have slept together a few times, but mostly with Grail involved. Only once was just the two of them, although that was for the purpose of teasing Grail. Grace eventually got into a serious relationship and her fling with Grail ended, so from then on Chrissy and her have just been good friends. They may not spend as much time together as they used to, but they still enjoy each other's company and will support each other when needed.

Peri Wattson

Chrissy met Peri through Grail. Peri and Chrissy were never in an actual relationship, but the two of them would flirt and became good friends not long after Chrissy moved to LS. Peri was one of the two that took Chrissy's virginity, but they never slept together again after that. They grew apart not long after Peri and Grail stopped talking.
